The Courtyard in Burlington was a good place to stay. The staff was friendly and my room was clean. The hotel has a fitness room and an outdoor pool. My request for the top floor was honored. I was given a bottle of water. The WIFI was good and the tv had a good variety of channels. My only complaint was checkout was noon and housekeeping came around 9am. The room was easy to get to from the highway but not close enough for highway noise. Restaurants were a short drive a way too. read more

This hotel is one of a select few within a 10 minute drive to Elon University. I stayed here while attending a graduation so being close to campus was important. The room was comfortable for the little time I spent there and it had a little balcony which was nice for getting fresh air in the evenings. Staff were friendly and hospitable and again I spent very little time in the room outside of showering and sleeping. I did notice that the tv offers Netflix screening but you've gotta sign into your own account. Be sure to sign out when you leave. Room service is every other day and breakfast was fairly decent. I would certainly stay again. read more

Where do I start... I checked in and there was a family in my room leaving because they said the room was loud and musty. Parking at night for a single female is an issue and there's no security. And the Internet TV does not work. read more

It's beautiful, spacious and modern lobby is what you notice first upon entering. The bar is always kept dim-lit for those intimate drinkers and social butterflies while the lounging area is scattered with sofas and love seats to enjoy the flatscreen of local news playing. In the rooms, you breathe a sigh of relief upon entering since it's spacious and clean! Surprisingly close to a highway, the hotel's room was still quite silent within. With my own private balcony overlooking the pool (see photo attachment) and a sofa and mini-refrigerator and bar within my "living room" area, I was more than well-equipped to kick into "chill mode!" The bed's mattress was quite firm and large, which I loved yet didn't take up the entire room. The circular shower within the bathroom was a cute touch, as well. Overall, I definitely recommend checking out (or, rather, checking IN) this particular Marriott. You'll surely enjoy your stay with amenities like fitness center, pool, free parking, etc. read more

I visited this hotel while traveling out of state for business. Everything about this establishment was absolutely amazing! The staff was so friendly and made sure I was comfortable during my entire stay. I did not realize the breakfast bar and bar were not open during the day but that was not an issue since they are open in the evening. I highly recommend coming here for a night cap. The cocktails were top notch and the bartender Elizabeth was so sweet. The hotel is very clean and the room is so modern and updated. The king bed is so amazing and I got top quality rest during my short stay. Please do yourself a favor and book your next stay if you are in Burlington. read more

No complain Tary breakfast, no microwaves in room and none available to take to room! You have to go down to the lobby to use a microwave. Not a hotel that seems to take guest needs into account. Too bad there are no other Marriott hotels close. I think I'll drive the 1/2 hour next time. read more

This Courtyard is the nicest one I have stayed in. I booked my room at a low price, but it came with a lot of extras I didn't expect. The luxe plush couch in the corner of the room looked amazing, and was very comfortable. The accent pillows were a great touch. My room had a balcony that opened with a view of the pool, courtyard and parking lot. It was nice to relax on the balcony with a cup of tea before bed. The bed was comfortable with pillows of different fills so you can find the one that's right for you. The desk clerk who checked me in was fabulous! Such a charming personality. She made sure that everyone left the desk laughing. I usually eat in the hotel bistro, and chose one of my favorite items on the menu, the turkey reuben. I was a little disappointed in the sandwich, but the fruit that came with it was great. There are stacks of new outdoor furniture and umbrellas that they are about to arrange outside, so it looks like they are working on "the courtyard." Overall, this place is a great value, especially with the extras. My business trip feels a little more like vaycay here! read more

While I will admit that this is a Courtyard that is older and could use some bigger overall renovations, the rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, but the shining star are the employees. Every single employee has made me feel welcome, appreciated, and generally made my day better and more enjoyable. I love the mariottt and will chose it over any other chain. This one was fine. Rochelle and Monica at the front desk were cheery and delightful. Room sheets could have been more convincing that they were freshly changed. Had nagging doubts. Got up to go down for the usual complimentary coffee and breakfast and ended up paying for a crappy cup of coffee and then stepping out of the paid omelette line because it was one person cooking and took way too long. Could have stayed at 5 other nearby places with complimentary breakfast and cleaner rooms. Shape up, marrriott or I will most definitely ship out read more

We stayed here for 4 nights and it was a great experience! Staff there were definitely friendly and made us feel easy like it was just our own place. This place is in a good location, close to Greensboro, with supermarket and some quick bites restaurants just around the corner, and still within drivable distance to the Raleigh/Durham area. The hotel room was clean and there was a small snack bar open for light breakfast/dinner as well as a quick small shop to grab some snacks (though a bit overpriced). Overall, we enjoyed our stay here. People there were hospitable. The only thing was that our room faced the highway, so there were some highway noises that bothered me in the beginning (but eventually it became just white noise in the background since we stayed here for so long). read more

I checked in late but Ted was there to greet me with a huge smile and a bottle of water while we chatted a he got me situated quickly. One would think that with the lobby undergoing remodeling they would offer some discount, but not not here. Aside from dropping $154(room rate, w/o tax) to spend the night here, there are many things to gripe about. First and foremost is the room itself: Old and poorly maintained. The in-wall hvac unit made a hissing noise and pings, even though I had it turned off. The breakfast buffet was a joke and if you happen to order an "omelet", then you will waiting about 15min to get it. I spent the one night here and would NEVER stay here again. read more

The staff at this Courtyard by Marriott was by far the best I have ever encountered! My husband travels often for work and he said the same thing as we were checking out! When we unpacked our clothes we soon found that our AC was not cooling. It was a Sunday and the maintenance person was not there. The ladies at the front desk apologized for the inconvenience and promptly moved us to a suite. They said they thought we would be more comfortable there since we had our teen sons with us. They were all so friendly and made us feel welcome! Rachelle was at the front desk and made me feel like we were old friends! She gave me a hug when we checked out! read more

Hotel is located off the freeway and was pleasantly surprised with rooms on the other side of hotel. Rooms are clean and have lots of room. The fridges are mini but will hold a few waters- Hotel has lots of parking and lot is well lit. Pool isn't very big but is sufficient- Lounge chairs, umbrellas and clean. Dining area is spacious, although breakfast is not complimentary. There is a bistro that serves food and coffee. Hotel is near lots of stuff! Shopping, Elon College, Dining, etc. read more

I usually prefer Marriott hotels, but this is changing. I chose this hotel because of its Yelp rating, but was very disappointed. When we arrived, we were given a room filled with cigarette smoke. Whoever was in their last (hotel housekeeping, presumably) had left the bathroom fan roaring and the light on. When we returned to the desk to request another room, the desk clerk laughed and said, "You never know what people are doing in these rooms!" (Shouldn't she know/care what housekeeping is doing? Especially since guests in non-smoking rooms are fined a significant amount for smoking!) Next we were put in a room next to a room that housed elevator machinery. It made loud clunking noises every time the elevator was engaged, all night long. And lastly, the air conditioner in the room sounded like a jet engine going off and on during the night. Oh, yeah, no complementary breakfast either. On the way back through the area a few days later, we stayed at a nearby Hampton -- quiet, non-smelly room, no loud A/C, no elevator noise, polite front desk, comfortable bed, free breakfast, and less money. Sorry Courtyard- this property is in desperate need of remodeling. The employees were awesome but the rooms/condition of everything was poor. Truly conflicted about this hotel....have stayed in Marriott properties around the world but probably won't come back to this one. Pros: - The staff at the hotel is extremely friendly and customer focused! - Beds was comfortable Cons: - They took the opportunity of Move-In weekend at Elon to raise their rates to an astronomical $299 per night. This was truly obscene! - Our room was so humid that my daughter could not walk on the carpet because it was wet. Running AC did not really do much to fix the problem. Could and would not spend time in the room - Ran out of many items for breakfast or wait was very long for other items. Surely you know when you are at capacity and plan for this in food & beverage? - No acknowledgement of being Marriott member. Highly unusual as most properties say something. read more

I have stayed at the courtyard a few times now. I have enjoyed this hotel. It is clean. The staff is friendly when you check-in. Room rates are competitive. It is easy to get to from the highway. I would however suggest asking to stay on the back at the hotel as the highway can be a little noisy in the front. The blackout curtains however are wonderful. Now enjoy your stay! read more

The worst Marriott experience ever. They checked me into a dirty room after I waited for over 10 minutes for someone to show-up at the front desk. The bistro was never staffed for the business and then they ran out of mile for lattes. Failure to plan for your guest equals extreme dissatisfaction. read more

This was probably one of the cleanest hotels with the friendliest staff I have ever stayed in. I don't write a lot of reviews for hotels but I was pretty impressed.
