The studios that we stayed in were clean and spacious. Overall, the hotel and premises were very clean. The front desk folks were super friendly. Also, there was a daily complimentary hot breakfast served from 6:30 - 9:30 AM Mon-Fri and 7 - 10 AM on Sat-Sun. Some complimentary breakfasts tend to be quite sad, but NOT THIS ONE. For the hot foods there were scrambled eggs, omelettes, sausage links, bacon strips, Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches (YES, you read that right) and French toast sticks. There was also quite a variety of pre-packaged cereal, yogurts, milk/chocolate milk, pre-packaged banana and blueberry muffins and juice. Honestly, this was probably one of the best complimentary hotel breakfasts I've had! If I had to create an ideal budget hotel with a complimentary breakfast, this hotel would be it. Happily, LaQuinta's policy is to not charge a fee for a small dog. That's such a nice thing! The room was on the first floor, which made it easier for me to take the dog out. And the room was very very clean, well sized. In fact, the entire hotel was much nicer than some of the LaQuinta's that we have stayed in in other parts of the country, so we were very pleased. The included breakfast also was very good. The quality of food was high, to include many different choices and fresh. The provided shuttle service that ran pretty much nonstop throughout the evening to dinner and then back again when we were ready to attend the show was an added bonus. Shane, the driver was friendly, engaging and helpful. We would definitely stay at LaQuinta again when visiting the Turning Stone area.

We had never stayed at a bed and breakfast and weren't sure what to expect. This place exceeded our expectations. The mansion itself is beautiful. Every time we walked around the house we discovered more treasures, everything from the molding to antique pieces. The property has a lovely view of the Erie Canal. Each morning there was coffee waiting or us outside our door on a beautifully arranged tray. Then we went down to breakfast. I hate to repeat myself but the table was also beautifully arranged. We tried several different dishes during our stay, each one delicious. Our host, John and Rebecca, were there for our every need, without being intrusive. After running around all day It was so relaxing to return to our room each night. We asked several relatives to stop by and see the place. Our Aunt was thrilled as she had driven by hundreds of times and never been inside. She was not disappointed. One extra point. They have a friendly dog named Riley who helped us forget how much we missed our own pets. We plan to return here each time we return to Syracuse.
