It is completely offensive this place so proudly proclaims itself a women run hotel. Why? Because it is the worst run hotel for a hundred miles in any direction. Without getting into all the small things like only having two towels in a double occupancy when we all know someone's going to need to wrap their hair, like entertainment equipment so poorly cared for you're jiggling HDMI cables like it's a set of rabbit ears from 1978... They make you sign a form indicating quiet hours begin at 10p & then host private parties in the ball room which run until 11p with amplified music you can hear three floors away. Never mind the women they hire are precisely the sort which make it impossible for other women to be taken seriously in the work place because they're under trained, apprehensive, poorly spoken, surly, unable to make decisions, speak in a full voice with confidence in the knowledge of what they're saying... We've put up with the place for a few years now because they landed the Bristol Fair package deal & we really want shuttle service to & from an event involving alcohol, but at this point, I'd rather walk the two and a half miles from the fair to the Double Tree than put up with this place one more night. read more

Wow! Came across this hotel and thought it'd be worth trying something different. This is not your normal, cookie cutter hotel! The details in decor, the warmth and ambiance really creates an enjoyable experience. Other hotels are very sterile feeling, but this has small details that just make you say, wow! A kitchenette, stocked with dishes, bowls, pots & pans, a Keurig, 2 K-Cups. A dishwasher, microwave, 2 top Electric stove, sink with a small table and 2 chairs. Apartment size fridge too. Working fireplace, bookshelf with a small collection of books, huge closet, large daybed/couch and queen size bed. Bathroom is huge too. Very clean, stocked with toiletries and fresh towels. Two things I'd suggest; add more lighting, and a bedside table or two with capabilities to plug in cell phone or other items. Otherwise, definitely need to visit this Inn in Zion! Nice decor and style. Overall a pretty hotel at a good price point. Free parking and has the needed amenities. My favorite part of this hotel is the walk to the beach - probably about 30 minutes and mostly on a trail. It's a quiet area and even though there were a lot of guests there wasn't much noise. The room was quaint and pretty. The downsides include: no blackout curtains which means the sun came glaring in at 5am. The pillows are also very uncomfortable - thick and hard. I asked the front desk if there were other kinds but she said she believes that is all they have. I highly recommend they improve the pillows. The breakfast was okay and typical of a free hotel breakfast. Not great but gets the job done. It's nice to have it so you don't have to go rushing out. My final suggestion would be to decrease the amount of disposable plastic, etc. shampoos and soaps are all individually packaged and breakfast is all plastic plates, silverware and individually packaged butter, jam, syrup. There's so much throwaway and it would be nice if they shifted to a more ecological approach. Overall, I would recommend this hotel and hope they consider my suggestions. read more

While the Inn is a nice place to stay my issue was with customer support. Through a mixup with booking.com I was double booked but upon check in I was assured it would be fine and not to worry about the other booking. Well I was still charged for both bookings and repeated attempts to get it it resolved has amounted to "A manager will call you back" So if you value your money I'd steer clear from here. read more

Definitely not a bad hotel just needs few details worked out making these 4 stars generous. Hallway on Third Floor needed vacuuming. 307 lacked clean smelling linen's from washcloths to sheets. Room stopped smelling musty after a few hrs. leaving balcony doors open while running wall A/C and bath exhaust simultaneously. King bed slept great and it had a mattress cover. Claims to be smoke free premises but employees smoking cigarettes at back entrance door?? Patrons should not be forced second hand smoke even if the do not claim smoke free facilities. read more

Not your "usual" hotel. Great time has been spent in the decor of hotel. Beautiful King size room and bed with fridge, microwave, chaise lounge, (electric fireplace didn't use), tv Excellent hot breakfast available with great variety of hot and cold food choice. The ONLY restaurant I saw available was a Chinese restaurant so eat or bring food for snacking (lol). Culvers (spelling), Wendy's and another fast food restaurant driving distance or walk to Aldi's or gas station next door. Nothing to do receptionist stated area never recovered from Covid. read more

Wouldn't honor Dayuse reservation even with confirmation email and number. No manager on duty. Desk person answering the phone claimed all Dayuse reservations were canceled and contacted by phone. This review is specifically for the standard double room. The other rooms on the website look nice but this room really drives home the best western feel the rest of this place gives you. Shouldn't there be some sort of standard to meet to call yourself a "boutique hotel"? They certainly have boutique prices. Customer service was awesome. We arrived after midnight (from Hawaii) and had to rebook our room because the travel agency messed up our itinerary. The matter was handled quickly and we were in our room within 15 minutes. The young ladies and Jay (behind the desk) were especially helpful and kind to us. We were there for our son's boot camp graduation so dealing with friendly staff made the trip much more sweeter. The only thing I didn't like was the noise coming from the wing place across the street. I recommend bringing a sound machine if you're a light sleeper. We have another graduating boot camp in November and will be staying here again. read more

Bed bugs, subpar hotel restaurant, greasy breakfast, no gym, rooms don't look like the pictures... BUT I would stay here again. Ok so hear me out- the first mention of bugs would make anyone immediately check out and go home. I understand these things happen so I went to the front desk. The attendant was very understanding and apologetic, I got an upgraded suite from my two queens room. The suite was very spacious and came with a kitchen area. For good measure- I ran to the local target and purchases sheets/pillow cases for the bed. It made my stay feel much more comfortable. The hotel also had a laundry room which I used to wash all my belongings. I had a good experience, the hotel itself could use some work but the cleaning staff clearly works hard. I talked to one lady who mention she rarely gets holidays off and supports a family. Zion il, itself isn't the most glamorous place to be. But it is close enough to other attractions near by and the beach they have is awesome. I would recommend you stay here, but don't expect the Hilton. Our room 308 was breached tonight August 4, 2023 even though we had do not disturb on the door, they (front desk) saw us go to dinner and when to target us. They left some of our stuff on the floor, including a little piggy and pencil from our piggies game. We checked out immediately after. Luckily we kept all valuables on our possession. So sad because two years ago we had a great stay here during Venetian night at the marina. Oh and when we checked in today they said the cable TV was not working, are you kidding me?! read more

I VERY RARELY write reviews, but since I booked approx 30 plus room at this hotel and had a HORRIBLE experience, I felt compelled to write one. BED BUGS in at LEAST 3 rooms. The hotel staff dismissed our claims and said only "one" had any. One of my crew suffered numerous bites and is still going to a dermatologist to try to clear up the bites. We have been using this hotel for years. We are a production company and are doing local commercial work. I have had my crew there on numerous occasions. WE WON'T BE STAYING THERE AGAIN. My crew said when they went to change rooms the staff was dismissive and seemed to not believe them. read more

The hotel itself was great, very clean with beautiful decor, staff was great, but it was SO LOUD..... The room doors are very thin and not sealed well. Loud people in the halls and the outside traffic noise was horrible. If you can sleep thru anything it's OK, if you wake up at any little noise, this hotel is not for you. read more

We stay here every year when we go on a fishing charter out of Winthrop Harbor. The facilities and rooms are always nice. I especially appreciate the staff behind the desk, Jay and the young ladies, as they were very friendly and accommodating. Jay also makes great hot chocolate! read more

Disappointment and costly. I booked 2 rooms on 3/17/24 at 6:30pm. Confirmation # 196988222 and # 196982890. Don't count on getting your room when it comes to going on your vacation. They sent an email saying that they overbooked and cancelled my rooms 10 days out from taking vacation, July 16th. Really, when I booked in March, you are overbooked in July? So, they are saying that no one booked rooms since March and they are only letting me know 10 days prior to trip. How does a hotel overbook? Which we all know, you are going to pay big $ on that short of notice, which cost me an additional $450.00. They offered 3 choices of different places for not the same type of room or quality of hotel, and further drive from my home. We recently enjoyed a 3 night stay here. Our first night's sleep was hindered by extremely noisy neighbors. Jay, on the front desk was very accommodating and allowed us to switch to a new room, far away from the first one. Also the Buffet host provided a wonderful spread for breakfast each day. All in all, we had a great visit, while hilighted by our grandson's graduation from Navy RTC. Definitely recommend staying here for future. read more

BED BUGS & HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Don't let the pretty decor fool you. I checked in late, and like in any hotel I check the corners or the mattress for bed bugs. Lifted the sheet pulled the mattress cover, clean. I turned off the lights, couldn't sleep so I got on my phone. Moments later I noticed something crawling on my pillow, I jumped up, flashed my light on it, sure enough, a bed bug! I pulled the mattress away from the wall and there were dead bedbugs, droppings and hair My mom and I quickly grabbed our things and went to the lobby. The hotel in the area we normally stay at for chemo was booked so we asked to be moved to another floor. The woman at the front desk was not surprised nor was there an apology. We get the the room and the key doesn't work. I went back downstairs and no apology just a "well we never have issues with keys either" I go back up stairs, pull the mattress away from the wall, what do I find? Droppings and hair. At this point it's almost 1am, my mom is a cancer patient, she's tried from not sleeping and moving around so much. I tell the woman at the front desk and her answer was so you wanna check out? Doesn't apologize, doesn't offer to help us find another hotel. Says "I can't check you out or give you a refund you'll have have to call the manager tomorrow" we called the hotel that was booked and they a accommodated us. We don't go to bed till 4am because we had to wash our things to make sure we didn't bring any bed bugs with us. The next day after chemo and appointments, around noon, I call the manager twice, left a detailed message and have yet to receive a call back. read more

This place is a roach motel at best. Terrible service, walls are paper thin, could hear my neighbor's tv the entire night. Pillows are garbage, AC rattled and there is a chicken stand across the street that's open late, dudes were just posted up outside blaring music out of their cars. Also, it's on the busiest street in town so if you are unfortunate enough to get a room on the street side, be ready to wake up to cars zooming by starting at like 5am. You couldn't pay me to come back to this dump!!! read more

This is a nice place to stay. Especially if your getting married, lovely rooms for the couple. I check in here every so often for cancer treatments at C,T,C,A,. Very comfortable, k-cup coffee pot in room also a nice soak tub for bubbles & relaxing after a treatment is awesome. They have a beautiful front entrance. I've had their BLT Sandwich which was very good. I would recommend this place to stay if going through Zion or special events. read more

I really thought this was a very lavish hotel until I stayed there... First of all, I reserved the King with a balcony & fireplace.... Too bad I didn't get it! No balcony!!! Then when I mentioned it to the front desk, they don't seem to care that they gave my room to someone else! No one apologized or nothing! ABSOLUTELY no compassion! The Inn at Sheridan has been our home away from home several times per month for the last 2 years. They are the best staff and have become like family to us. They have a lot of guests, like us, who are patients of the Cancer Center of America that is located a few blocks away. Sharon, the Manager, works her butt off to make sure that the hotel is immaculate, the guests have what they need and she ensures that the hotel is as safe as it can be. Bekah, Ashanti, Jen & Jay are soo nice and look out for their guests and know them by name and genuinely care about them. We have gotten especially close to Bekah and consider her part of our family now. Also...the rooms are clean (thank you Wanda and Co.) & beds are sooo comfy. The only opportunity that I have for the owners is that they need more staff and that their current need a raise or bonus....because they are reason guests are soo loyal. read more

Took them 2 hours to change our room by that time it was 2 am...terrible service...worse hotel we've ever stayed. Just left this hotel and am heading home. I spent two nights here while my mother was getting a check up at CTCA. I really enjoyed staying in this hotel, and I would definitely stay here again. The lobby was elegant, the rooms were nice, and it is in a great location to lots of local restaurants and coffee shops. This place looks like a great hotel to stay at but I will never know. I booked our reservation in February with calling the front desk to book. They called me two days before my reservation to let me know that Booking.com overbooked the exact same room I wanted and they offered to reschedule me for a different date. I was upset they cancelled my reservation but willingly changed my reservation to October. Eight months I waited to come visit this hotel. I had bought tickets for events surrounding the area. The hotel called me again to cancel my reservation because they had a more important party to book for that room that same night. I booked this hotel eight months prior to this. I have planned weddings, events and when a place is booked you usually state that the date is unavailable. This hotel did not do that. They chose to cancel my reservation after having it reserved eight months prior and gave it to the wedding party. I was not notified of this reservation cancellation until two days again before my reservation. I do not know how this place handles their bookings or can justify just to cancel someone who has a reservation. I recommend to not work this hotel if you need a legit reservation. They will cancel on you at any given time. read more

The lobby of the hotel is nice, rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. The staff is for the most part friendly. The breakfast in the morning is a joke, it's nothing but bread and pastries. If you like having a sugar meltdown an hour after you eat then this place is for you. Not good for people who have gluten allergies. Staying here is not worth the price in my opinion. But after checking in we go to our room and and it's the wrong room not the family suite we paid for we where then told they over booked and had no other option after checking us in to a room they knew we didn't reserve. No managers on site. Got a call later that if we wanted a refund for room difference we would have to go through hotels.com . The hotel could not help us. WiFi would not work the entire stay . Called down for extra blanket and towels and where told to come get them. Didn't offer to bring to us. Very nice hotel, very clean and quite for the most part. Was disappointed in Managment when we had a very noisy room above us at 100 in the morning, kids running down the hallways and slamming doors for over an hour before management would do anything. We have a gift card to go to Callie's and living farther away we now won't be able to come back before it expires. We would have come a different weekend had we known. Very disappointed... Key card worked first night. Second night would not work after 3 trips to front desk they moved us to another room and ended up having same issue the 3ed night. Second room was not cleaned and the sheets were not changed. Bulbs were burnt out in lamps and not replaced and remainder of lightning was horrible...dust, food and hair all over desk and night stand. Carpet not cleaned in room or hall. Loud music could be heard on 2ed floor at 5:30 A.M. Was coming from lobby.. Will not stay here again. read more

They were clearly in the middle of a remodel of this hotel. The lobby and banquet area appear to have been completed and are quite lovely. 3rd floor hallway was not quite done - walls painted, but carpet still very worn, and baseboards not finished. My reservation was for 2 adults and 3 older kids and there were only 2 towels in the bathroom. I will say the front desk staff are very very friendly. Got more towels, but it took about an hour before they arrived. There is currently no hotel restaurant. The restaurant Hoikama is in the same building, and the food is good (but pricey), but there was currently no room service. There was also no book in the room to tell us anything about the hotel or nearby attractions. Son asked to go to the "spa" (jacuzzi). We went but the water was COLD. He didn't care. I opted to stay out. Best part is the Mexican bakery across the street. :) read more

This place was actually pretty decent. We stayed here as a last minute trip to Kenosha for the 4th of July, fireworks were great by the way. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were very nice. They even have a 24 hour hot tub which actually made things pretty romantic. The breakfast was in the cutest little shop with nice trinkets. You can actually watch the cook prep the food. Very nice for a last minute stay and about 20 min from Kenosha. I'd go again. read more
