We have been seeing a consular Barry for about two years, barry left the office in July and never notified us. WHEN ( calling for a week) I call after my surgery for an appointment for my son. I was told Barry left and will need to do it through the process again. Then after filling out the forms it took another 3 days of me on the phone to get this appointment. Appointment schedule for 3:30 10/9/24 we got to office an check in at 3:08 pm with the desk. Sat there until 3:50 pm where we had to ask what the hold up was, when as desk she stated " oh it was at teleahealth appointment " no one ever stated that on the phone. The number she gave to reschedule was to the building office. Not reschedule department. So now gotta keep calling for another appointment. This momma is pissed! Good on you for checking reviews before you book with a therapist, I wish I had. The Inner You Counseling Center seems all too happy to book you for a 10 minute intake appointment, for which they will charge you as a full session. They seem less inclined to call you back afterwards and set you up with an actual therapist. In my case, they misrepresented this intake as a full appointment and misrepresented the fact that it wouldn't be with my new regular therapist. In fact, they had to "Call me back" when they could "Find someone who matched my situation", which they never did. (They did remember to bill me $55 though.) Instead, when I reached out to them, they immediately deleted my account with them, then attempted to gaslight me into thinking this behavior was normal for a therapy practice (it is not). This business is, in my opinion, scamming people who are looking for mental health care, and you should avoid them. But don't just take my word for it, read some of their other reviews as well. read more

I just started coming to this practice after looking for a new therapist that was in my area. It was a pretty simple assessment and scheduling process. I've only had my first appointment so far, but my second appointment was rescheduled on short notice only an hour before. Hoping that it was just a one time occurrence and that there will be minimal scheduling issues going forward. Nobody really greets me when I walk in. Would probably like a little bit more of a friendly interaction from front desk personnel. They just kinda tell you to sit down... All in all, it's an okay experience with the practice so far, but nothing amazing about the business that really stands out. read more

I felt calmer just driving into the parking. It appeared it went into a beautiful garden with a large cottage attached, which was actually the therapy building of course. The interior of the building was very welcoming and well maintained. And my Therapist Addie is outstanding. I've been in therapy for decades. Zero stars, booked appts without my knowledge (stated it was standard practice to book out appts), telehealth meetings did not work, rescheduled an appt that was booked without my knowledge as the time didn't work for me after receiving the confirmation of appt DAY OF and was charged a $75 missed appt fee even tho the appt was rescheduled, spoke to a staff member that ensured me she reviewed my notes and the refund would be posted back to me within 24-48 hours (stated she spoke with a supervisor), called back when no refund was received and the billing manager Martina stated I basically made up every single thing I was told from the booking of appts without my knowledge, rescheduling and not missing the appt, and that I was promised a refund. This place is awful. Was seeing a therapist every week for 3 weeks. On the 4th week, therapist didn't show up for the appointment. Called the facility and left a message saying therapist never showed, never received a call back. Called facility a 2nd time to have reception apologize and just rebook an appointment. New appointment comes, therapist doesn't show up again. This business is very unprofessional and clearly doesn't care about their patients. read more

I have had only good experiences with the Inner you. My child has been seeing a counselor here for a while. We can always get an appointment. There are not outrageous fees if someone gets sick and cannot make it to the appointment. read more

The individual therapist working here are good therapists, but the organization of this place is awful. Multiple times I arrived for an appointment that was cancelled without any notification. Today I was informed upon my arrival that my therapist left the practice. No notice prior, I only discovered once i asked the front desk 10 minutes after my appointment was to start. read more

I was referred to this center by my Dr. In April. I had to wait for an intake appointment got that figured out. And my next step was to wait THREE WEEKS to be set up with a therapist. I had missed a call to set up an appointment and had to play phone tag for another week just for us to figure out my assigned therapist's availability does not match up with mine. (I did provide them my email to correspond easier and still received nothing) So now I am waiting AGAIN to be set up with a new therapist and was not advised of how long this will take even after calling to follow up. So far my experience has been miserable with the Inner You and I am very hesitant to continue with them any further given the lack of communication on their part. P.S. I work in a call center and the professionalism of the individuals I have spoken with on the phone needs a LOT of work. My son had been going to Inner You since about the start of covid. On my sons last appointment we made an appointment for 3 weeks later and I wrote it on my calendar. The day came and our therapist didn't show up to the appointment. But I also realized we hadn't received an email with the reminder and link to his appointment. I called the next day which was a Friday, but had to leave a message. No call back. I had forgotten about the sessions because my son typically manages setting them up and just gives me the date. My son also seemed to be doing ok so I didn't follow up on my call that wasn't returned. I tried last week to get him back in. They took about a week to confirm insurance, but was then told we couldnt see our previous therapist because he's not taking new or returning patients (per the Clinical Director). So here's the thing, I've gone to therapy for most of my adult life and have never known an absence from sessions to take you completely off a therapists list of patients. It may take a while to get in but you'll get in, The problem with the inner you is that they have several locations and dozens of therapists and believe, even the case of children, that therapists are interchangeable. They aren't. It can take months before a relationship is sufficiently built before therapy can be open and honest. Further, therapy can be fluid in someone's life with needing it weekly for several months to not needing it at all for months. I understand clinicians get full but um, you're telling me that he had no room on his schedule in 1,2,or 3 months to fit in a patient he saw only a couple of months ago?!?!? No, that's not true, it's just they believe therapists are interchangeable and well, just send him to anyone. Bottom line - this place is 1. A big practice that feels too commercial - it's not personal at all! 2. They don't return calls. 3. You can't communicate with your therapist without leaving a message with reception (and then hope you do not miss the therapist call because you will play phone tag) 4. You can't take breaks in sessions (even though you fell of schedule because the therapist didn't show up). You will have to find a new therapist. Just don't do it guys! Especially for kids. They deserve better than a revolving door of therapists. read more

I had gone there for a 2nd evaluation. My Doctor never received the evaluation but my co-pay check was cashed the very next day????? Update! I received a call from them due to the fact they did not like my review! To bad, let the truth be told! It has been 20 days and still waiting for my Doctor to receive the evaluation, not that I would want one from them at this point due to the inadequately of their staff. I am extremely impressed with staff and therapist. My insurance was accepted. It was very difficult to find a new provider when my previous therapist moved out of state. The Inner You also has a location in Lincoln. The Warwick location has a mini campus occupying two buildings next door to each. Large staff with options for most needs. I have been to a few providers and The Inner You is amoung the best. read more

I started taking my daughter here a few weeks ago on a recommendation from a friend. It took a couple months to get in and get her fitted with a clinician, but so far so good. She seems comfortable with her and is willing to be in a room alone with her, which in our world is huge. We are optomistic that our experiences will continue to be positive! read more
