Been here several times and every time I've enjoyed my meal. This is a no frills bar that keeps it simple. When you walk in there's a bar in the center of the room and seating along the walls/area. They have draft beers, specialty cocktails, and a full bar so there's something for everyone. They have daily specials and a straightforward menu. My only complaint would be wanting a larger variety of Irish foods but I understand for a bar you want to have a smaller menu that you do well. Reading as always is fundamental. There are numerous signs but I'm also reiterating kids are not allowed past a certain hour so if you're trying to come with kids PLEASE plan accordingly. We've had the Reuben eggrolls, corned beef burger, cheeseburger, pretzels, turkey sandwich, and the pretzels for dessert. I absolutely recommend the Reuben eggrolls, corned beef sandwich, beer cheese, and the cinnamon sugar pretzels with blueberry cheesecake dip. I don't know who or how that dessert was made up, I never thought I'd like it, but I'm actually obsessed with it. I will continue to be back to try more foods read more

DELISH. Went for the first time after a round of golf at Turtle Ridge. The Ruben egg rolls are surprising and RECOMMEND. The chicken was seasoned perfectly and the chips are homemade. People are friendly but a little dark. Definitely more of a bar in the evenings, but a great, easy-going spot for lunch on the weekends.. Yum! read more

What a delightful surprise it was to dine here. It started off with a friendly welcome and a warm smile. Our server helped me whittle down my lunch selection to fit my food restrictions . I had a blt wrap. It was tasted and filling. She kept an eye on us and made us feel good. The atmosphere suits their sports bar feel. Quantity of servings perfect. Price was in moderate range. We have tried to eat in here several times but it is always packed which is a good sign. So I decided to order carryout. First, the girl who took my order (I think her name was Dani?) was fabulous. Couldn't have been friendlier and was definitely into sales as she asked if I needed several add-ons. The owners should be thrilled because normally when you order carryout, your lucky if a person is even interested in taking an order. The terrific service continued with her through the entire pickup experience. Great job!! The food was great, hot and delicious. We will definitely be back either to eat in or more carryout. We had not eaten here before. We decided to order take out and boy were we mistaken... we should've eaten in! This place is amazing; the atmosphere, the staff, the FOOD. Some co workers and I came in for a quick lunch on a Friday. The place was busy but the service was still good. We were able to get our food and check in a timely manner to get back to school. This time I got the Rueben egg rolls. The Rueben rolls were okay. They did not have a lot of flavor and it mostly just tasted like fried dough. I have to say, the Irish Gypsy serves up some fantastic bar food. They really go the extra mile to make the dishes more interesting. The pretzel with beer cheese sauce was amazing; the outside had a perfect crunch, while the inside was nice and soft. I ordered the Reuben sandwich, but I'm definitely going to try the fried bologna sandwich on my next visit. For my side, I chose a salad, and it really stood out with its delicious Italian dressing. I'm not sure if they make it in-house, but it was excellent. I'll definitely be back, as there are so many items I still want to try, like the Reuben egg rolls and some of the soups! read more

It is sad that a business would consider themselves a neighborhood establishment and exclude under 21 starting at 6:00 p.m. I would love to bring my teenagers here as a family for their food. My wife and I love to try new places especially locally owned places. We were headed for a day of shopping on a Sunday and decided to pop in and try out this new restaurant. We had been here in its prior life and did not return , but let me be clear. New restaurant, new owners, new design. My wife ordered a cheeseburger and I ordered the steak sandwich. While there were a few hiccups with the cheeseburger, the owner took full responsibility and took it off our bill and made her a perfect burger which we loved. I ordered the steak sandwich, which is made in Garlic cheese bread. I love garlic cheese bread so it was a no brainer. The steak was delicious, I honestly could have ate two of them it was so good. The Irish Gyspsy is one of the many great spots for food and drink in OFallon Missouri. The wife gets the Pat Chicken and it never disappoints. I cant stray from the burger cause its so dang good, prob the best in O'Fallon IMO. Great atmosphere and bar sign design on the walls. Plenty of TVs to watch the game. Maybe they should have waited to open. They don't seem to have it together yet. The bathroom floor was wet with no sign. I did not see ALL kitchen staff with masks and gloves. They leave the ice scoop in the ice container. That's just gross AND a health code violation. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else or at least wait a couple of years to see if they improve.
