The Irish Gyspsy is one of the many great spots for food and drink in OFallon Missouri. The wife gets the Pat Chicken and it never disappoints. I cant stray from the burger cause its so dang good, prob the best in O'Fallon IMO. Great atmosphere and bar sign design on the walls. Plenty of TVs to watch the game. Maybe they should have waited to open. They don't seem to have it together yet. The bathroom floor was wet with no sign. I did not see ALL kitchen staff with masks and gloves. They leave the ice scoop in the ice container. That's just gross AND a health code violation. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else or at least wait a couple of years to see if they improve. Fort of all our server Hannah A was amazing! She was so pleasant to talk to but didn't overly stop and bother us. She was nice and funny with my kids who were being ridiculous. She even managed to get the hockey game turned on the tv for us. We ordered a few apps and two sandwiches. The turkey bacon sandwich was really good. The wings had the Gypsy sauce that was really good, I'd eat that on anything. The place is small but nice with plenty of tvs for watching games. I can't recommend this place more. Very unassuming from the outside but very cool on the inside. Small menu but I tried the beef sandwich and it was excellent! I would recommend getting the cheese sauce to dip your fries too. Reasonable prices and great service from Shannon. Lots of tv's and good sized bar. I'll be back! read more

Mediocre at best, acoustics are echoing, music so loud with light crowd, hearing server and answering required almost yelling. the wings were those of pigeons! if your not drinking and speaking loudly, it's annoying. plenty of TVs, and just a neighbor hood bar, with bar food. prices are a bit high for quality of food. they sell alcohol and food is a side line. read more

I've had the bangers and mash five times now and this was a disappointment. The first of the bangers I cut into was raw on the inside. The waitress immediately took it back. The cook cut into the uncut banger and said it was cooked. Brought it back and asked what I wanted him to do, or order something else. I had him cook one new one. It was ok. Overall, the bangers and mash didn't taste like the other times. The potatoes weren't spiced the same and the sausage didn't taste as good. Not near as good as the other 4 times. I heard people raving about this place on social media and I'm convinced it's fake accounts, family members or owners. You're really only paid attention to if you're one of the five "regulars" that get drunk there on a daily basis. When we walked in, there was no one to seat us. We sat at the bar because there was no hostess, and it took 15 minutes for the bartender to ask us what we wanted to drink or even acknowledge us. The French dip was awful, the meat was thin and I've had better from the grocery store in plastic packaging. My friend got a burger which was dry and overpriced. My side salad had about five pieces of lettuce and thirty tomato chunks. So...if you want no service, overpriced gross food, choose the Irish gypsy for your next meal read more

I honestly can't believe the bar/restaurant doesn't have better reviews. I was there with 8 girlfriends and everything we had was amazing. You have to try the beer cheese sauce on some thing while you are there, whether it be pretzels or fries or anything... Best I've ever had! They were busy and the service was great too. So, it was our first visit to this "Irish" grill and Bar. This visit was on a Sunday afternoon. Stepping into the building, it was fairly dark inside, much clutter on the walls and ceiling, an indication it's more a bar than a "Irish" grill. Four other persons were in there at this time. Anyhow, we sat at a booth and ordered a drink, typical bar drinks, nothing fancy or Irish about it. My wife ordered a chicken sandwich and I ordered the bangers and mash. Before our food came, we were the only customers in the place. I'm not used to having banger and mash served in a bowl but this is how it came. My food was hot, while my wifes sad looking chicken sandwich, was pounded so thin, and was so dry, it wasn't a good bite. She stated it had good flavor but was really dry. My food was tasty. The only issues I had were the mash was a little loose and the onion gravy was like a soup.....It would have been a solid 5 if the mash was tighter and the gravy was laddled over the mash and bangers and served on a plate, not a bowl.
