    Burger they are all amazing

Absolutely outstanding! Local owner's the husband can be found cleaning tables saying hi, wife is one of the chef's... Kathy is one of the BEST waitresses I've EVER encountered in my life. We had a celiac friend with us she went above and beyond to ensure him MANY guests eat here because of gluten free choices. Even a different fryer. Ambiance is a little loud inside but I'm not there for a yoga class. Thanks so much for consistently being amazing. I've had almost all on the menu, can't go wrong!!!

Wow! What a wonderful experience! Rob (our server) was incredibly friendly, and quick! When he found out we had just gotten married in Saturday he offered us a dessert which we thought was so thoughtful! Darcy was kind and gave us some great suggestions of things we could do with our pup while we were in the area. We chatted with a few other friendly staff members while we sat out on their beautiful & clean patio! We also thought it was such a sweet touch that they had a bowl of water ready to go for our pup We will be having a 1 year anniversary party next year at Clinton Hills and we will be sure to tell all our guests to pop in! Thank you guys for the delicious meal

Amazing atmosphere and terrific high quality fresh food! Modern takes on classic pub food, good seafood selection of that's what you're looking for but non-seafood choices also. Excellent beers on tap and the service is very friendly! I would say this is a destination stop as you drive around PEI! We had the Cobb salad, fish and chips, fish tacos with a clam chowder, and mussels. All were fantastic!

    Beautiful train station pub!

My wife and I went here for lunch, and the burgers were great! As has already probably been mentioned, this restaurant is in an old train station, which gives it a lot of charm. We look forward to going back sometime when we revisit PEI.

Went on a Tuesday night and it was very busy. Got seated at the bar then they found a table for us. Had a wonderful server who got us our drinks quickly and was kind enough to put our order in before a Big groups. We each got fish and chips. For the price it was a great amount of food. I would recommend it to friends and family. It also is suppose be the train station that was in Anne of green gable which is pretty neat.

    Sublime fish tacos.

Service was perfect, and the spacious outdoor seating area under umbrellas is a treat in the summer. The menu is fairly standard for pub fare, with special dishes written on the blackboard inside, or recited to you by the waitstaff outside. The quality of food is exceptional, and the portions are very generous. I had the fish tacos, which were perfect, and my fellow diner had the special, the crustacean BLT. It was loaded with lobster and crab. Will definitely return!

There is a real community hall feel to the pub, it's definitely not the fanciest or somewhere you'd typically bring a first date. But who needs fancy, who need pretentious - good people, good food, and good beer is sometimes all you need! We were a group of 8 and my husband had luckily found out about The Black Horse via Google search. Sitting down with hungry bellies, seven of us opted for the mussels to start for $5 per pound. Now. These mussels are farmed just down the road and come in plain, buffalo, wine & garlic, or spicy tomato (I see they have a new salt & pepper popcorn flavor as well!). The. Best. Mussels. I've. Ever. Had. No joke. Just delicious - all flavours. The meals were decent, not super memorable though - the sweet potato fries were very tasty. The food was pretty much typical pub food, which is why I take one star off this otherwise 5 star review. The service was really some of the best service I've had anywhere. How often does the owner come up, chat with your table, and sit down for some welcome conversation? How often do they really, actually care and go out of their way to find out how you like the food? He was very proud of the buffalo wing flavoured mussels with blue cheese dipping sauce - his own creation. Rightfully proud, I might add, they were soooo tasty, great flavor combination! And when we mentioned that we were interested in deep sea fishing, he called up his cousin and handed my husband his cell. It turned out his cousin ran a deep sea fishing boat and we met up with him the next afternoon! All in all, it was memorable PEI experience for all of us...I'm only sad that I do not have access to those mussels any time I want!

Dishes ordered: Mussels Wings Fish & Chips The mussels were more plentiful than the first visit and super fresh. We ordered them plain this time, and they were so good. There is no reason to dress up these mussels. Not one mussel in the whole dish was even unopened which means they were super fresh. The wings were superb. Crispy, and seasoned skin. So good! We ordered them with the homemade BBQ sauce, great choice. The wings were so tender on the inside. Fish & Chips were the only complaint. The filet was quite thin so it was overcooked. I think if we had a normal sized filet, the kitchen would not have screwed it up. The batter though, was very tasty and cooked in very good/fresh oil. The fries, same as last time, were fresh, well cooked, and excellent. Beer, cheap. Great.

Best of all, the food was delicious and tasted fresh and local. There were a nice range of lunch options and delicious beverages. After a week traveling coastal locations throughout New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, it was delightful to have a menu that features seafood, but also gave a fresh and flavorful take on enjoying such options. The view and friendly service really set it apart from other places we've visited though.

The chowder had tender chunks of lobster, haddock and scallops, and the creamy broth was in the Goldilocks zone of not too thick and not too thin. A lovely roll that was crisp on the outside and had a light crumb was made for dipping! My wife's chicken and brie roll with a tomato and feta soup was a light but flavourful lunch, and a solid deal at just $15. Bonus points to HH for having GF options for all of their buns and pizzas too! On a return visit after we had moved back to the county, I leaned into the pub side of the menu, and tried the house burger, which comes topped with the usual suspects, plus cheese and bacon. It was a good burger - a thick, pub-style patty, melty cheese, crisp bacon, and the bun held up well. Solid fundamentals, if no real standout elements. The fries were of the crispy-coated variety, which I'm a fan of. Oddly, the ends of each fry were much more browned than the rest, which reminded me of fries that you bake at home. Not a strike against them, it just seemed odd. My wife's shepherd's pie was a hearty plate. The spacious casserole dish was packed with meat and potatoes, and given a non-traditional slathering of melted cheese for good measure. I did my husband due diligence and finished off what my wife didn't have room for. Harbour House is doing some above average grub, especially when you know the right dishes to get.

It came with 4 scallops on top of medium size and alfredo sauce pasta that was very basic but ok, with maybe a couple of very small bacon bits. I ate half of the plate. I relayed my dissatisfaction on the meal to my our server, a young lady in her twenties, and I received a curt response that 4 scallops was the expected amount and that bacon was in there. She did nothing further and promptly brought us our bill for $155 before tax and tip. My friend was paying and he felt obligated to tip because 2 in our party were regulars and he didn't want them slighted in the future. No discount or accommodation was offered. I left feeling that I will likely never return and somewhat disappointed because the place has a certain charm and the others seemed happy with their fish and chips and club and fries.
