We stopped y for a delicious meal today. I had the meatball sub and hubs got the godfather. Both were made with fresh ingredients. The kids both had Mac n cheese. Yum... I moved here from the Bay Area a few months ago and I have been looking for places to eat at besides all the chain restaurants. I hit up yelp to help, I was craving pasta, some real pasta not the Pizza Hut pasta. Well I came across this place on yelp and they had a picture of a sandwich from 8 years ago that look fire.. which they no longer make. We were looking for Friday evening takeout and spotted Italian Kitchen on Yelp. Ordered lasagna and it was wonderful. Two pieces of yummy toast came with it. The ingredients tasted fresh, the pasta was cooked just right and the spices were perfect. The portions were generous. Plenty of leftovers for lunch tomorrow. I liked the vibe of this place. The people working were extremely friendly and singing while they worked. The service was ok, we had to ask for some stuff, but nothing to crazy. The food was just ok. There was a lot of it, but the for dishes we had, the only one that said it was really good was the calzone. My dish, the angle hair pasta with shrimp came out Luke warm, and I pretty sure it was canned shrimp. It didn't taste horrible, but it didn't seem fresh. Ordered a Grilled Chicken Asian Salad To Go. Service was fast and friendly. Salad was simple, but great. Just like I would've made it at home. The salad was fresh, but I'm pretty sure it's just bagged salad, nothing wrong with that really. The sliced grilled chicken breast was delicious! Not a rubbery piece in it, moist and tasty all the way through. There were sliced almonds and those crunchy oriental noodles. Since I got it ToGo I asked for dressing on the side and I was pleased they gave me enough. I will definitely be back to try their lasagna, I was just craving a salad today. Love the "BYOB" (build your own bowl), but can get pricey if you add too many items. I had penne with grilled chicken, sun dried tomatoes, mushrooms & pesto sauce and a fettuccine Alfredo with bay shrimp (wish the shrimp were larger in size...they are the tiny popcorn size). They give you bread with your order, but it is toasted sour dough slices that are completely saturated in olive oil, so they were just too greasy for me to enjoy. I thought maybe first time was a fluke, I had my phone out and the food came out with great presentation and taste. Then I went a second time and it was just as good. Third time I got a free upgrade on food because they were slow but I didn't mind. So excellent service, great tasting food, and pretty good people overall. This place is on point and especially good for the cost. For 10 bucks I got a meatball sandwich with french fries. Sandwich was huge, the meatballs tasted great. We shared the Meatball Sandwich and Chef Salad... everything was very tasty and fresh! We were given samples of the pesto and alfredo sauces - wow...great flavor - looking forward to going back and having some pasta. After reading the reviews i got excited to try this restaurant. What a disappointment! I got the Mediterranean salad. It was tiny in size and had maybe an ounce of chicken. It was supposed to be grilled but rather looked like it came out of a package from the grocery store! Mediterranean salads usually come with a Greek dressing but that was not a choice. There was parmesan cheese instead of feta. Who does that? Well I got the Italian dressing and it tastes like it came out of a bottle. This is my first review I have ever written. Julie the owner has tried to rectify the issue with the brunette girl, at one point it got better but today I didn't order my husband did. Julie recommended I tried the bacon chicken, I was excited to try it. It had zero bacon a few pieces of chicken and was made horrible, same with the Hawaiian. I call down there the same girl says there is nothing she can do, and she was busy. As a business owner i try to first talk to the owner or manager before posting, we work hard and are ay the mercy of our staff unfortunately this girl is sinking their business.
