This place needs help when it comes to customer service and keeping this place clean! It's like no one is in charge of this restaurant, or no one cares! Had the lunch buffet on Wednesday, July 31st. Arrived at 12:30 PM and the place was mess! Priority should be customer service upon entry (don't make us wait 10 minutes to order our food at the cash register), and keep the place clean.... buss tables and clean the damn salad bar every 15 minutes or so. Employees can configure empty pizza boxes during off-peak hours. During peak hours, priority should be on maintaining the restaurant clean. read more

I hadn't been here in about 7 years, and I was excited to get my favorite bread sticks and Rancher pizza that I had always remembered ordering many years ago. The bread sticks were great! Not precisely how I remember it, but amazing none the less! As for the Rancher pizza, it was not good :( It allegedly came "straight out of the oven" per the 3 young boys that were working there at the time, but it was rock solid, extra crispy and stale-tasting, like it had been under a heat lamp or just sitting in an oven for a LONG time. We had one piece and it did NOT taste good. I politely told the young man at the register that the pizza wasn't good and tasted like it had been sitting for awhile, but that the bread sticks were great. He told me he would not give me a refund for the Rancher pizza "because he saw it come out of the oven"..and he put us on what he referred to as an "oops list"..for them to essentially remake the gross pizza we had already over paid for and weren't happy with :( All we wanted was a refund for the pizza. My family loves this place. Their pizzas are all house made and not loaded with a bunch of artificial fake ingredients. We typically order the Breadsticks, which is a cheese pizza with ranch dressing. Every time we serve this to guests, they always LOVE them and my family typically wants one of these with each pizza we order. I've always wanted to stop by here, as well as other friends. So glad I did because it was really good. I went during the lunch buffet because I heard it was a great deal and it is. Cashier was super nice, salad bar was fresh and pretty (the lettuce is cut thin, it's perfect), ranch is house made, and they had multiple types of pizza. My fav was the Hawaiian and the three meat with white sauce! There's a lot of room in the restaurant. People started coming in by the minute and it still felt like there was a lot of space. This time pizza was good...salad bar great except the weird colored eggs.... but the floor was filthy with food and napkins under the tables...we were late afternoon but before dinner and were the only people there. Multiple workers, yet no one swept the floor. I was very disappointed in the pizza we ordered January 4th. We ordered an xlarge and it looked like a large. Most of the slices looked like 1/2 slices and were only 1 inch at the crust end. I called to confirm there was no mistake and they said no, I received an xlarge. I love their pizzas normally except for one time they gave us a burnt pizza. When I called about it they said sorry they knew it was overcooked but their oven was messed up but they gave us another pizza. I thought it was strange they would knowingly send it out burnt though. Pizza is ok, kinda thrown together sloppily. Pretty pricey and the prices online are NOT what they really are. For me it was a $6-$7 addition to what online prices were which was really annoying. Seemed like they could have use more seasoning. The sauce also was a little bland. The ambiance was something out of Friday night lights. I expected a high school football game to break out at any moment. Or maybe good ol' country bar fight. On the positive side everyone who works there was very nice and helpful. They also have a nice arcade area with lots of games for the kids. I have never stopped eating pizza because I was full. So i happily demolished this bad boy. If you are a Gridley local, Sylvio's combination pizza is amazing and would be preferable to this one. But Sylvio's is hit and miss. The Roundup also has a standard salad bar. Think roundtable.
