Little did I know, there's a Whalburger inside Gold Country Casino. I've been watching the TV clips for years wondering if this chain lives up to all the hype I'm happy to report, the Wahlberg boys didn't let me down. I ordered the Our Burger combo, for a reasonable price of $13.99. My burger was hot, juicy, and loaded with fresh produce. It came on a lightly toasted bun with Wahl sauce, and a nicely melted slice of "government cheese." The tots were crispy and golden brown on the outside. There were plenty of them, and they came with some tasty ranch for dipping. I ordered a Dr. Pepper for my drink, and my cheerful server brought me a free refill. The restaurant is nice inside, and has a big wood bar with beer, wine, and cocktails. There's a bunch of TVs over the bar if you want to plunk down and catch some sports. The atmosphere, service, and food were all five stars in my opinion. Nice job Wahlbergs! read more

Visited December 31st ( New Years Eve)...see my receipt as always. My boyfriend and I had lunch at Wahlburgers inside the Gold Country casino in Oroville. I have been wanting to try this place for a long time! We lucked out and enjoyed their lunch special.. Bbq bacon burger with fries. Only 12 bucks! ( I think lunch specials are from 11am to 2 pm). Burger was juicy and they didn't skimp on the bacon! Fries were crunchy and delicious. Love their Wahlburger sauce ( for the fries ). I also ordered the 3 sliders on the regular menu. I especially liked the chicken slider..it had a golden crunch to it! The other 2 sliders were good as well. Tons of leftovers! I also tried their expresso martini ..Tammy did a great job on making it! Service was quick and the place is super clean! Nice containers for leftovers and love the take out bag that closes for a good seal! It was a Great experience and we both enjoyed the food! This was my finally made it to White Castle moment! And in the middle of nowhere location inside a casino! It was excellent! The burger was so tender and flavorful! Loved the sauce and the chopped lettuce. The fries were crispy! The service was excellent! There's even a bar. The location was new so it's was in pristine condition. Cute swag to buy as well. Got to try the bbq burger at Vans Warped Tour in Long Beach, this week. I was really surprised at how good it was and ended up getting a burger both days of the event. It had a nice combo of heat and bbq sweetness. It was neat to be able to check them out and if given the opportunity to get another one of those burgers, I'd definitely do it. read more

Decent burgers without being damaging on the wallet. I docked a star because their burger sauce has onions in it and I'm allergic to onion. The chicken Caesar salad was so good; the Texas toast croutons are yummy! Chicken sandwich is on point. Lots of good options here. read more

How is this place still open?!?! Never more that two tables taken here. Next to zero employees. Food is extremely expensive for gas station quality food. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs. read more

I love this place and anytime I come and check out the casino and after playing and winning I work up an appetite me and my husband ordered us a meal to go . We both ordered the OFD and while we were waiting ordered up here and not even by the time we were finished with our beer or order was already out quick service friendly employees nice atmosphere and food is delish I definitely recommend even if you don't want to gamble or anything just stopping in at the bar and have a new drink and then meal. After 2 visits to Wahlburgers, I can say the bad reviews here are very unwarranted. OROVILLE is known for dirty boring sameness - Wahlburgers is new, hip, and clean. On both visits, burgers were great. Crispy tots! Service was absolutely excellent on both occasions. Our first visit, the bartender accidentally poured the wrong beer for someone else and gave us those beers free instead of pouring them down the drain. We tipped accordingly... We occasionally stop in for lunch at Wahlburgers.. they do a impossible burger and I can get it lettuce wrap which for them just means on lettuce and it has a great sauce. However, my husband says the hamburgers are not anything special - he takes me because I'm vegetarian and gluten-free. And it's fun to go someplace. I can get something I like. It's bar food. Nice, simple menu. Food ok-good. Drinks ok. Not too spendy, but you're paying for the 'name' and supposed ambience. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. This joint was connected to a casino, so it worked for us. The portions were average, maybe a little on the shy side. We cleaned our plates. Oh, plates ... kinda cheesy, cheap (plastic) and small (to make the meal look bigger probably). Not sure I need a larger than life picture of Mark and his family staring at me. The food was just ok. I didn't like that the buns weren't toasted and melted into the hamburger patty, which made for a smashed together burger. Visited Sunday around 7:00 pm Waited 10+ minutes to be seated, only two tables with customers Bartender and waitress were talking at bar while occasionally looking over. When finally seated, we ordered. After 40 minutes of waiting for our food ( no one stopped by our table during this time) the people next to us who had several issues with their order noted to the waitress that we hadn't received our food and a couple that came in after us received theirs. With no explanation other than our order got deleted, the waitress attempted to retake our order. Bartender / will assume manager? as well as the waitress were talking Up at the bar almost the entire time we were there. What a joke. We visit the casino and restaurants 1-2 times a week, but this is the last visit to Wahlburgers. Please get a manager and servers who are not totally inept. We were there at lunch and there were just a few other people dining at the time maybe 15 other people. it took 20 minutes to get a drink and about half an hour for food . They brought my appetizer after everyone already had their order . I ordered the moms chili it was lukewarm warm so I asked them to heat it they said they couldn't would have to bring a second one ...still not hot we definitely won't be back read more

First/last time visiting a Wahlburgers. They win the prize for serving up the worst burger EVER! I ordered a BBQ bacon burger that came minus bacon or bbq sauce. The patty was small, unseasoned and not fully cooked. The bun was smaller than a McDonald's single. Not worth $12.99. My friend's burger was served so soggy that he could not hold it. His comment: "what a joke!" The bun fell apart and he had to eat it with a fork. The fries were ok. They don't come with the burger though. Everything you order is an add on. Service was good but a long wait for the food to come out. They are trying to appear like a sit down; full service restaurant but the food quality is below any fast food establishment. Would speed things up considerably if they just let you place/pick up your order at the counter. Feel sorry for the servers...The food is so bad...and they try their best to defend it. My friend ordered a Bloody Mary and was told that they did not have Bloody Mary mix so he got a watered down tomato juice with vodka. Expected to leave a tip after that? What an insult! Quality control/proper training is severely lacking. They appeared to be understaffed in the kitchen and overstaffed on the floor. What a joke! Expensive generic burgers The burgers here are generic and flavorless. You can make better burgers at home. For starters, w ordered the Parmesan truffle tots (They were just so-so). Again, no flavor from the truffle, no flavor from the parmesan cheese. For the burger, we ordered the Fiesta burger as it sounded so tasty. WHAT A JOKE! All of those ingredients in the description were basically not there, there was very little to no flavor and there was no heat from the jalapenos. Chipotle mayo?? Non-existent. For the side we ordered the thin crispy onion rings. These too were not as good as they sound in the description in the menu. Super thin onion rings, deep fried, but when they come to you, they are broken and more of tiny little chips or pieces, there were no "Rings", and OMG the amount of grease on these things was terrible. The time that it took to get this terrible dinner was over 30 minutes - that is unacceptable in my mind. Over 30 minutes for a lousy thin tasteless burger!!! For the rating of the staff: The restaurant was not busy (We saw 2 other customers at 6:30PM on a Saturday in Jan. 2025), we were seating right away, menus were given to us, drink orders were taken (Water and Iced tea). 5 minutes later the drinks arrived, and our order was taken. The green-haired, pierced, young hostess was very nice, she did a good job for us. As we sat and waited, we saw 3 to 4 other servers standing in the kitchen area, talking and joking around. We could 2 to 3 chefs behind the counter. One was working, on our order we assumed, the other two were just standing there talking. As we kept waiting, we saw 4 to 5 orders go out the door to food delivery services. As we kept waiting (15 minutes passed by now), our hostess/waitress did not check on us, we needed drink refills. We kept seeing 2 of the 3 cooks just standing behind the counter, doing nothing - WHY can't they cook our order? Finally, after 30 minutes, our order was delivered. I had to ask for a refill, she didn't ask me. What a hug disappointment in what sounded like this meal would be tasty. The lack of flavor, and the amount of time it took to get our meals is the reason that we will not return to this restaurant. It opened in Jan. 2025 and I am willing to bet it will go out of business by June 2025 WHAT A JOKE this place is! read more

Great burger! The patty was cooked perfectly, juicy and DElicious. They didn't even charge extra for cheese or grilled onions. Sides are extra but we shared some tater tots which were half off during happy hour. The salads looked like a great option too. We will go back to try more of the menu. read more

Although it was a couple if weeks ago I am still upset about what happened. On Saturday, April 5, 2025 around noonish, my daughter and I placed an order to go at the kiosk. Walked in looking for someone to confirm our order an employee with long blond hair came out and I told her we placed an order and asked if she needed the receipt. With an attitude she said no it automatically places it. With her looks and negative attitude I wanted to leave. We sat there for 15-20 minutes waiting. She brings out a bag with 3 side orders. The tab was $70, we purchased 5 shakes supposedly they won't show up from the kiosk. First to think 3 small items was $70 with was a joke and second why didn't you confirm the order if you were aware if that happening. All we were getting was attitude like we were wasting her time. So another 15-20 wait for the shakes and the food was then cold. We just left because she wasn't worth causing a scene I can not remember the last time we had this much of a horrible experience. My granddaughters learned a lesson about how bad people can be in a customer service environment. Actually there was no customer service given just disrespect and attitude. We camp at the R.V. park a few times a year and I can promise this I will NEVER go to Wahlburgers again. Us rather starve then be treated as we were. Disappointed in the template response about not accepting cash. Is it because you do not trust your employees to handle cash?

Been here twice already and so far only the appetizers won us over. First time we ordered the fish sandwich and the super melt sweet potato tots, fried pickles, and fries. Super melt came without caramelized onions. They ran out, make some more. Second time we ordered chili, truffle tots adult root beer float, this time they had no vanilla ice cream for the float. Chili tasted canned and the burger my husband ordered was a child's burger nothing special and they didn't know what beer was on tap. Just think they need to step up their game. The foods ok I've been a few times and it was pretty good, the prices are in line with what burgers at any sit down place costs, the servers are friendly but the kitchen is a bit slow. Our main issue and the reason we most like won't go back is there is zero separation between the dining area and the casino floor and the cigarette smoke smell is overwhelming. It's wasn't as bad when they first opened, now it's permeated everything in the dining area. You literally sit 3 feet from slots that allow smoking. They really need to either make the section closest to the dining are non-smoking or put up some sort of glass wall to separate the two. We go to Feather Falls Brewery a lot and it's not an issue there since they took steps to keep the dining and smoking areas separate. If you're a non smoker or don't enjoy eating with someone smoking right next to it bad. They do have a small outdoor area, depending on the weather it could be an option. read more
