This was my first time trying the muffuletta here, I would definitely recommend. The store has a variety of Italian sandwiches, pizza, pasta salads, and desserts, so there is something for everyone. I will be going back! They also do weekly wine tasting events

Their satellite location, seems to be larger and better laid out than the original market. I love their sandwiches and got a ready-made one today. This spot has gelato and ice cream so you can treat yourself to an affogato for a sweet treat. There's also pizza by the slice and a whole lot of frozen delicacies.

It was a bit confusing at first on where to go to order but the customer service was stellar and the sub was PHENOMENAL!!! The seasoning on the lettuce, the freshness of the meats, the softness of the bread, and their hot peppers just hit it out of the park. Top tier Italian subs. I absolutely will be coming back ASAP.

The Italian store is a classic spot. They have sandwiches, pizza, pasta, cheese...you could come here and do some shopping and have lunch. The sandwiches are large and come packed with meat. 10.99 for a large sandwich which could feed 2 people. They have pre-made sandwiches or you can order a custom sandwich. My reason for 3 stars vs 4 is the complicated way of ordering at this store. I arrived at 3:30pm, so not a very busy time. The sandwich I wanted had all been taken from the premade basket, so I asked if they could make it for me and they told me I had to order at the counter. They were making a custom sandwich for the woman next to me with no problem. I ordered at the counter and they told me it would be a 30 minute wait for 2 sandwiches...when they made a custom order with no problem for someone else. I found this confusing, especially since they weren't busy and there wasn't a line for custom sandwiches. Seating- they have a covered patio and seats that are in the sun for small and large groups. Parking - there is a lot, maybe it holds 15 cars? You might have trouble getting a spot during busy times.

Large subs are definitely not Large anymore. They must have lost 3-4 inches on the bread. What a shame. Not worth paying the high price for an "Large" sub anymore

Great place for Italian ingredients, wine, pasta, pizza etc. If you want to prepare an Italian meal then you will get great quality ingredients. I wouldn't recommend expresso here if you have high standards of coffee unless you are having it as affogato. They have a wine tasting area inside and also good outside seating to get pizza, coffee, gelato etc.

Saw this place from social media and decided to give it a try! The space itself is beautiful, with plenty of Italian provisions and wines. Very busy on a Friday evening! My friend and I got the muffuletta and pastrami sub, and the food took about 30 minutes to prepare. We had a tiramisu while waiting, and this was by far my favorite thing - so creamy, and not too sweet! I've had the famous muffuletta from New Orleans, and this one was great was well - not nearly as flavorful though. The pastrami sun was alright, but felt a bit dry. Service was friendly despite how busy they were, so I'd love to return to try their pizza!

found this little gem/store that sells italian sandwiches, pizzas and goodies. Got great snacks but also ordered two soft roll sandwiches. apparently if you wanted to order a modified sandwich, you need to call ahead --which I didnt know. But if you want the sandwich without any modifications, they pre-prepare them on the same day and you can just grab-and-go. Although it was busy on a weekend, the staff helped me modify my sandwiches even though I didnt call ahead of time. the wait time was about 10-15 minutes and I did some shopping while waiting. Overall sandwiches were delicious, the bread was awesome and I d definitely come back. I forgot to take pictures of the sandwiches but here is a photo of a homemade cannoli from here

Outstanding Service from Linda at Harris Teeter…read more I visited Harris Teeter on Thursday, June 4 to pick up a few ingredients for a salad. During checkout, Linda asked if I was 55 or older. When I confirmed that I was, she informed me about Harris Teeter's Thursday promotion for customers aged 55 and above, which helped me save some money on my purchase. I was delighted to learn about this benefit and truly appreciated Linda's attentiveness, professionalism, and willingness to share information that I might not have known otherwise. Every little bit helps, and her thoughtful customer service made a positive difference in my shopping experience. I shop at Harris Teeter frequently and was glad to learn about this promotion. Thank you, Linda, for your excellent service, attention to detail, and commitment to providing outstanding customer service!

Never have I come here and the store is poorly stocked or not well-organized. This Harris Teeter also offers a huge selection of nutritional supplements and unique household items that you would have to go elsewhere to find such as a local Target, Walmart or Vitamin Shoppe store.... All under one roof! The deli, bakery and hot food bar sections are quite impressive with lots of items and goods to choose from. There are weekly meal and lunch deals offered as well....all starting around $5 bucks! But, to my surprise...one of the highlights that stood out the most is that this place conveniently has a full bar upstairs! There is a modern bar and wine shop upstairs with both offering a great selection of libation and beverages to purchase. It offers weekly happy hour specials and every day $3 dollar pints. I mean, who knew!? How many grocery stores that you patron can you say have a bar or this type of offering? In all, this Harris Teeter store location is quite impressive. The sales are great, staff are helpful and there's convenient parking on the premises of the store. The only downside I would say about this store is that the layout can be a bit overwhelming to navigate. The store is very well organized, but you do feel like you're in a bit of a maze with so many aisles to maneuver in order to find items. And God forbid., you forgot one item once you're at the cashier checkout -- that's located in the back of the store..... You will definitely have bit of a stretch to go back and get the item given the size of the store! Lol. Nevertheless, no big deal for me. This store gets two thumbs up and one of my favorites in this area. Definitely worth a trip and visit!

Yep, I needed to pick up a…read morefew things after a quick trip to cvs. I tied my dog up and went in to pick up some items. An older Asian man (store owner/manager?) approached me about my dog and an incident with a pregnant woman. She was by the front door excited speaking on the phone. In short, a pregnant woman claimed an incident with my dog, refused medical attention at the site, spoke enough English to call about 10 Latino males but not enough to call emergency services or 911 because she, and her male relatives, wanted me to transport her to the hospital. Let's unpack this. Anyways, after many excited utterances of her water breaking due to my dog, I called Arlington Police non emergency line and they sent fire truck, emts, animal control and police. I ended up calling as it didn't seem she, her male relatives or the helpful store owner/manager called and I observed a few emergency trucks driving past Pershing or near Glebe. As Arlington emergency services and police arrived, the older Asian man disappeared (along with his knowledge of the situation-- how convenient) into the ether as did most of the pregnant woman's male relatives who were there to support her and I assume, compel me into taking them all home so I could take the pregnant woman to the hospital. Also, something that seemed to evaporate and become ether was the pregnant woman's water that supposedly "broke" while I was there. Her legs, exposed just above the knee, were dry and ashy and not "slick"'or wet. Another special thing to note, the older Asian man (store owner/manager), the pregnant woman, and the pregnant woman's male family members mobile phones were not able to call 911 or emergency services. Initially, the store owner/manager, along with the woman and one of her male relatives attempted to compel me to give the pregnant woman cash on the spot. I refused to do this. So, the woman and her male relatives decided the best option was to follow me home to have me take her to the hospital from there and attempted to communicate this plan to me. Most of the male relatives showed up in trucks with some trucks having a one woman sitting inside. These male relatives could not transport her to the hospital either. I had my earbuds in and stayed in call so I was not alone. One of my relatives was convinced the store owner/manager was in on the "scam" to give the pregnant woman cash and believed he was probably receiving some type of cut or kickbacks (south Florida living does color one's perspective in interesting ways). Within 10 minutes of my call to the non-emergency line, the fire truck, emts, police and animal control arrived and took over. I do not know if the pregnant woman or her family members who did not disappear, asked the Arlington county police for me to personally take her to the hospital or to provide cash. I did observe her not allowing the emergency service to check her out. I asked the emts if they could take her to the hospital because I could not. I was told to wait for police and animal control. The fire truck and emts eventually left, as did animal control. I was told I could go. I am guessing this is not the outcome the pregnant woman, her male relatives, and quite possibly, the Glebe Market store owner or manager hoped for. Please keep in mind, there is also an older Asian female (another Glebe manager/owner -- maybe the wife or relative) that seems to like yelling at people as I observed her scurrying into Glebe market after yelling at me in CVS while I was talking to the pharmacist and picking up my prescription. Yep, she totally invaded my privacy. I thought she was homeless person that passionately cared for dogs as she was complaining that it was too hot outside for my dog (we do errands together). I double checked the weather, it said 78 F, and ignored her because I though she was having a spell. She followed me outside of CVS and by this time, is yelling and calling me awful names. I didn't say a word to her and walked around her like she wasn't there. As long as she didn't touch me, I wasn't calling the police. She loves dogs. Maybe a little too much. Of course, my dog would not let her pet him and I was still ignoring her as she had done and said awful things. I had no plans on encouraging him to allow her to hug him. I started walking the opposite way from home and observed her running into Glebe Market still yelling her awful stuff at me and running against traffic! I was very curious, changed direction and followed her inside. Of course, I did not find her. I was probably 2 minutes behind her because I had to secure my pup before going inside. This was in late spring on a Saturday morning of this year (2023).
