This place is close to where I live so it took me finally 4 years since I am in this area to try. It's very popular and featured on local media like Fox-5. They serve bagels for breakfast and has a wide range of sandwich options including vegan/ vegetarian friendly. They have a dine in and an outdoors seating space as well, they basically hand you an iPad for menu but you don't have to click anything, you can tell the server. I love the vibe with the music and decor, and they have an interesting sense of humor where they post these quotes like 1. Leaving leftovers is for quitters 2. Our pastrami has more followers than you Sometimes they post profound ones as well especially if it was in some movie. I had Cole slaw and a fried fish sandwich. It was delicious. I used to LOVE this place. I lived near it for years and continued to go when I could even after ownership changed. I was in the area with my son yesterday, so we both said let's go get a couple cheesesteaks. My son got a 6" OG and I got a 12" standard. The bill...$50 bucks and change...f'ing ridiculous!!! Being from northern jersey I LOVE delis and Celebrity has it all. My wife and I had a first experience recently and we definitely be back. For me they do the classics rights like the matzah ball soup and latkes. I can tell they use schmaltz which makes a big difference. The sandwiches are huge. You're not leaving hungry. I'm a big guy and these are no joke. Staff is super friendly and the food came out fast. If any of you are complaining about the price... go to the store and look at the price of beef now. Well, it is officially lent and I was feeling pretty hungry for something decently filling that wouldn't break my meat fast. Fortunately, I have always loved salmon lox bagels and I found myself with that particular craving right in front of celebrity delly. Upon walking in the place, just had a look of legitimacy. It's hard to explain it's clearly not all froo-froo, the chalkboard in the front listed all of the sandwich options and I immediately walked directly into the cashier. I asked if they had salmon lox, and he said yes! He explained to me that how this deli does lox is via platter. He mentioned to me that a lot of the bagel types were being shipped in this evening and all that was left was onion. Fortunately, I absolutely did not mind. Within a couple minutes, a bag of a delicious platter was ready for me to take out. The price was decent considering what I pay these days at any other deli for a similar item. I got a delicious crunchy pickle with it and they did not nickel and dye me when I asked to try the aïoli. The quantity that came with my plotter is actually really impressive. Their sandwiches are absolutely massive and there's so much meat on them which makes them worth the price point. It's a no-frills sandwich shop you go in order and everything is made in house. It felt very welcoming as soon as you walked in, like if you were walking into your families kitchen. The waitress took our order then came to us 8-10minutes later to inform us that it will be delayed because they are cleaning their fryer. My friend and I seated ourselves and the server came out to us. It was a Saturday when we went and I think there was only 1 server running all the tables - kudos to you! Great food as always, but poor service this time. Rarely do I not tip, I regularly tip 25% - 30% for good service. (Wife and I are both former waitstaff.) Unfortunately, our waiter was impolite and ineffective. Waiter was short: "We don't have that", "Are you ready to order?" "[Wife] Do you have..." "Kitchen closes at 8" "The rest is coming..." (Waiter could have instead said: "I'm sorry we are out." "Just so you know, our kitchen closes soon, can I offer any recommendations?" "Here you go, and your dressing-on-the-side and fries are on the way." We asked for water, he brought us a Coke. We asked for water again, and he took the rando drink away without comment. He set our orders down with a quick " the rest is coming" and left. We had to wait and call him back to ask about our missing / wrong sides. He said " I told you the rest was coming, but I can fix the side" and took the plate to get the right side instead of letting me eat the entree. It wasn't busy, but he was on his phone, his back to us, 3 of the 5 times I looked for him. We asked another staff for a to go box, who called to our waiter "can you get a to go box for your table?" I've been searching for a great quality sandwich place for a while and was happy to come across Celebrity Delly on my social media feed. I saw that they had what appeared to be an authentic Philly cheesesteak sandwich on their menu, among a large menu of classic Jewish deli fair like hot pastrami and corned-beef sandwiches and traditional appetizing dishes such as whitefish and chopped liver. I finally decided to check out what they had to offer and othered the footlong OG Philly Cheesesteak with garlic aioli for lunch, which comes with your choice of side. It was absolutely delicious and better than many of the cheesesteaks I've tried during trips to Philly. The ribeye was well seasoned and the fresh sesame seeded sub almost tasted like garlic bread thanks to the garlic aioli. The portion was generous and cooper sharp cheese added a great lusciousness but not greasiness to the sandwich, making it well balanced. I ordered my food for takeout, but the service at the counter was very friendly and welcoming. The decor of the restaurant felt homy and sunny with plenty of seating. I ordered takeout through Grubhub and I have to say, the markup is not bad - I don't think they offer full vs half through the app but split the difference in price or something - definitely worth it and I will say that the bread was still nicely toasted by the time I got my order.
