In mid February, I started looking for an organization that would assist me in filing a disability claim at the VA. The nature of the claim was somewhat complicated and quite detailed as it pertained to a severe medical condition associated with exposure to Agent Orange while serving in the Republic of Vietnam in 1962-1963. It seemed that every Veterans Disability Firm I contacted offered no help or assistance beyond information on where to find the forms to file the claim on my own. I soon became aware that any firm working on any initial claim to the VA by law cannot charge a fee to the veteran. A fee is only permitted if the firm does work for the veteran in the event that the claim would be denied by the VA. When I called The Jack's Law Firm, Mr. Jacks asked when I could come in for a free consultation and was able to meet with me almost immediately. When I got there he spent hours discussing my case and looking over my paperwork. He gave me a realistic expectation of what was going to happen. We negotiated a price and set up payment arrangements after I made my initial deposit. When I left his office almost three hours after I got there it felt like the weight of the world has been lifted off my shoulders. He and his staff handled everything from beginning to end. Mr. Jack, Did both my cases at once for child custody and grandparent rights. We randomly got a referral for him from another law office that was full on clients, and We are so glad we did. He was there since the first day to the last and more. Anytime I needed to call him, he was there and answered. This was my first time with anything court related like this, and he made me feel much calmer. I'd worry, and ask him a million things and he'd answer all million and told me how it is, how it works and so forth. He got us exactly what we wanted from grandparent rights to the custody case (actually more then we expected, cause 1 phone call a week was much better then the 2 they normally get). Mr. Jacks has proven over and over to be a competent and winning family law attorney and clients ignore his advice to their own detriment. I have used his legal expertise for very difficult issues dealing with child custody here in Las Vegas and he has a way of convincing most attorneys and judges to see things his way. If he says he believes he can win or that you have a winning case, then he fights very hard to prove himself right. And if he thinks you have a weak or losing position, he fights even harder to prove himself wrong. This lawyer is a lion in the court. I've seen him stand up to judges when they are clearly wrong interpreting law and I have seen him remain silent and clutch his clients to keep them from speaking when he sees the judge is saying things that are going favorably. Not every lawyer is good for every client or case, and Mr. Jacks knows this and is quick to recommend others if he does not think his services will be effective. This is a rare quality. This is a second review because I hired The Jacks a second time for another challenging trial with my Ex. I am still in awe of the staff. They had me work closely with his office team, Leah and Jamie, to keep my costs down. They are amazing. They know my case like the back of their hand. Communication is always easy and always very honest. This team is very caring and straight forward. I was never surprised because they always set realistic expectations for me. When it came time to go to court, we were looking at at minimum another year. Mr. Jacks sat down with my ex and I, and very patiently found a settlement that we could both agree on. He and I have not agreed on anything in about 10 years yet with his help we found something we are both satisfied with. I am still shocked this could happen at all. Mr. Jacks is my go to attorney! He has, in my opinion, absolutely amazing and has the best team working for him. They all do what is right for the client, even if it is not lining their pockets. Mr. Jacks could have easily agreed to go to another court/trial and increase his fees. He didn't. I would recommend this legal team again and again. Service was the worst I have ever heard of or experienced from a Lawyer. Big talk no results. They would put me on hold to start a timer to charge for every second of a phone call and they would both call within minutes of eachother and ask the same questions just to rack up the bill. I was told to send emails to him and his assistant which they would charge me for each of them to read the email. They lost paperwork that I had emailed them. I got nothing out of my experience other then a huge bill they never got me anywhere in my divorce and I was primarily worried about getting access to parental time with children and two months into it they had not done anything to make that happen. I have no idea how they are even in business. read more

Wow, let me start with from day 1. Called this law office and spoke to attorney David Jacks who gave me a lot of answers I was looking for then I came in for a consultation and this guy's is amazing. I would suggest turning the other way if you happened to come across The Jacks Law Group. If you like to hear stories than this is the place to be! I will admit that he did get me a hearing for my divorce but failed to notify me of the date. As I was on the telephone for my first hearing, that Mr. Jacks thought he told me about , I could hear the opposing counsel making their demands for his client. Mr. Jacks didn't say anything in the court room to defend me in anyway, even when knowing the facts. All he had to do was speak up and say the facts to the judge. That's what he is getting paid to do. When I questioned Mr. Jacks about what had happened, that I want to appeal and why he didn't tell me about my hearing or even send a reminder as the date gets closer , he says that it is only temporary so nothing to worry about. Also the judge is right and there is nothing I can do about it. He'll also notify me of what I owe for child support and the amount I have to pay opposing attorney. A month later , I get a call from Mr. Jacks questioning me why I haven't paid the child support or the opposing attorney? I had to remind him , because you never told me what I owe, like you said you were going to do! This is the kind of service you will be receiving if you hire Mr. Jacks! He's nice and gives you answers you want to hear in the beginning, but when he is in court, he is in there with his tail between his legs..... read more
