My friends and I agree that this is Riverdale, not A sushi hotspot desitation and we would rather sacrifice a point on the physical construction /proper sushi technique than go somewhere else that has beautiful perfectly rolled sushi- with less fresh fish or rolls that are more rice than filling. Also- the sushi IS good! I usually go for salmon, tuna and a sweet potato tempura roll The lunch specials (monday-saturday until 3:15 pm) are a really good deal and come with pretty good miso soup and a fresh side salad. I am appreciative that they run a little later in the day as well. Aoyu has always been very reasonable abt modifications- there is no upcharge for brown rice for lunch bento- easy to request veggie instead of pork gyoza, and I really don't like crab- imitation or otherwise- so they always let me sub a cucumber avocado roll instead. My meat came extra well done. I sent it back and it looked like they sent the same meat back again. I couldn't eat it and I eat everything. I told the waitress I wanted to talk to the manager and then she told me she would cut the check in half. No one had ever refilled my water or checked on the table unless I called them. I was very disappointed. The next three days I had stomach problems. Not in any rush to go back there. Wheelchair accessible.
