Came here for a family breakfast, it was my first time at the diner. The kids menu was awesome, they have smiley face pancakes! They put ears, eyes and fruit for features on the pancake! The kids loved it! Everyone ordered something different and the portions were great. I ordered the breakfast burrito with chorizo. I noticed they had quite a few dishes with kielbasa and polish themes, I'll have to go back to try some of those. The burrito was large and came with lettuce, tomato, salsa and sour cream. There was also a heaping pile of hash browns that were nicely fried. The burrito was good and quickly devoured. The people sitting next to me ordered and egg white burrito and omelet, both were large and enjoyed by them. Service was good but I never got a refill on my coffee, for a breakfast place that was a little sad but I survived. Overall it seemed like a decent breakfast spot. I was looking forward to going back to the Jersey Diner for some scrapple and all I can say is it was truly a disappointment. Whoever was cooking yesterday was off by a mile, scrapple was soft and should be crisp and the chef really disappointed me with the poached eggs, when ordering a poached egg soft please don't give me an overcooked egg so I can't enjoy my runny yolk!! Now I'm done with that place they might be representing Tequesta but certainly not Jersey! read more

We are camping at Jonathan Dickerson State Park. and decided to go out to dinner instead of cooking. So we did a local search for places to eat near us and the Jersey diner came up. We decided to give it a try and we are very happy we did. The food was absolutely excellent, good portion sizes, our waitress was absolutely wonderful, great personality and made sure she checked on us often. Our food was freshly made, the place was clean. The bathroom was clean plenty of seating and comfortable booths or tables. There was a larger section if you wanted to have a big group or if you wanted to have a cozy little corner for dinner they offered that too. They offered vegetarian and vegan menus for those who follow that. They also offer a combination of American meals Italian and Polish dishes. Everything looked absolutely delicious. The French onion soup was excellent. It wasn't greasy at all and they fixed it exactly as I asked them too. After everyone ate, we ordered cheesecake and carrot cake and both were absolutely excellent. We're very glad that we found this little gem and the next time we're in the area, we will definitely stop here again. Large booths for kid friendly seating. If you haven't been here, I would put this on your, "must try" list. Highly recommended! Great food, good price, good portions and great people. This was my second visit to the Jersey Diner and everything was great! Waitress and Hostess were very friendly and welcoming. It was a ghost town at lunch time and there only seemed to be 1 server at the time which I thought was odd. I ordered the Penne Vodka pasta and it was delicious. The French fries are also incredible and a favorite among many family members. The portions are large but it's good for the prices. Everything I've had here has been delicious. It's a quality diner with quality staff and clean restrooms. I will be returning next time I come to Florida. I took off a star because I think the decor could use a bit of an update but I do understand it's a diner so that's okay. read more

I recently met up with a friend from North-of-PBC, and this was basically the only diner open after 3pm on a weekday in Jupiter. Technically I think this is in Tequesta. This used to be the 'Time Out' Diner I believe, and the tired decor and abundance of wall clocks reflect this. No comment on the strange outside decor, but I knew exactly what I was coming into. The booths are too small, and cramped, and uncomfortable. Really enjoyed the friendly service from the moment we walked in. Our waitress was AMAZING. Despite indicating that she was swamped, she took our orders and brought our items out quickly with all smiles, lots of grace, and no complaints. My kids were given activity placemats the moment they sat down and this went a looooong way. Word search is completely up their alley! also the kids menu choices, which consisted of the typical usuals. Each kids meal option came with a drink and a bowl of ice cream afterwards! The waitress added a ton of whipped cream plus sprinkles and fudge on top; pretty amazing considering the low kid-friendly price. The drinks came in kiddie cups with lids and straws. The kids plates held a lot of food, more than my kids could possibly ate. I opted for the plate of pierogies and they were awesome. So disappointed that they permanently closed. They had great food that made me reminisce about new jersey. Oh well.

Food was pretty good. The Triple Decker was a good club and C liked the egg salad sandwich (though $13.95 with chips seemed a bit high). The server wanted to be anywhere but at work that day, however. Eye rolls and attitude were served with our lunch. Oh, and I asked for a slice of raw onion to be added to my sandwich. There was an inexplicable $1.00 extra charge for it. When I inquired with the manager I was told that "she didn't make that decision, it was the owner". I mentioned that the egg salad sandwich came with LTO and we had asked to leave it off. If we were told about the onion surcharge on the other sandwich, we'd have taken the LTO. Could there be an adjustment made? I got a laugh and a flat out refusal. Oh well, for $1.00 and a Jersey attitude the Jersey Diner won't see us again. It's not about the paltry dollar, it's about valuing and doing what it takes to please a customer. They don't value me, there's other places to spend my money! read more

This used to be a regular stop for me. About two years ago the food was consistently bad so gave it a break. Returned tonight to discover that nothing has changed. My G/F ordered a Mediterranean salad and i ordered a cob salad. We both got salad from a bag. Nasty field greens. Her salad had an olive or two, a chunk of mozzarella and red onions. I had the same but add tomato, runny avocado and green onions. Mine did not resemble a Cobb Salad what so ever. Clearly the prep cook was too lazy to make two separate salads. The decor hasn't changed. Same interior as it was two years ago, which it has been since it was a Denny's in the late 90's. Plus remnant of when it was called "time to eat diner". Service was fair. Loved this diner!!! It felt like I was home. I'm from New York and it was to get a taste of home. The vibe is even reminiscent of our local diners. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Our server Spencer was awesome too. So no matter what time I get up I always want breakfast. We started off with regular coffee and it was strong. Definitely woke me up. They have so many options to choose from it's hard to decide. But we ordered the Belgian waffle to share. For my main order I went with the two eggs any style (scrambled) with cheese, bacon, hash browns and rye toast. Everything was delicious and seasoned. Even my hash browns had some onions and green peppers. I was in heaven! My niece ordered their breakfast BLT and was so happy to with her meal. The eggs were slightly runny and it has the bacon and cheese on it with avocado and tomatoes. I would recommend this diner to anyone in the area. You won't be disappointed! read more

Nice omelet there this week- lots of real Swiss cheese on top. Hash browns were good, too. A decent value.

Yummy choice for me was the Polish platter. Took me three days to finish it. Flavors were just perfect and the portions sustained me for several days. Husband ordered the turkey reuben and he loved it, took the other half home. He is a milkshake fan, so he ordered the vanilla caramel shake and was swooning. Our server was exceedingly full of information and suggestions about what to order. The ambiance is a diner that anyone from the NY-NJ area can identify with. read more

my husband, and i are longtime tequesta residents. the jersey diner was our go to for a long time, however things have changed drastically. we went for lunch the other day, it was so very warm in there that it was hot! not an atmosphere to eat in the server said the air conditioning was acting up. we had been in there last week, and the week before same issue. i don't know what is going on there, but we really felt badly for the poor workers as they looked hot. uncomfortable, and pretty much wilted. i don't know if this is a state labor board issue or a health department issue but we. along with some of our neighbors who have also commented on this will not be returning. too bad the owner doesn't have moe pride. as well as operational ethics. shame! read more

Food is great. Something for everyone. They really need some servers though. We went for brunch and it took nearly 2 hours. We were the first people in the door. Not sure if the servers were slow or they just need more. But we waited 45 mins for a drink, nd one meal came 15 mins after the rest. And only after we complained. We will go back because food was good and see if the service is better. read more

There are several reviews commenting about the decor - it's a diner folks! I've been going to this diner since it was the "Time Out" diner. It is a big improvement since the previous name and owners. The servers are much better, food comes out quickly and is hot. The orders come out correctly prepared and with requests accommodated accurately. The food is prepared with fresh ingredients - also a marked improvement from the previous name/owners. I would have given 4 stars, but gave this 3 stars because of my last experience. My only dissatisfaction at the Jersey Diner was on Saturday 7/29/23. Whoever the hostess was at 8:30 am - she needs some training. When I tried to pay my bill before leaving, she and some other employees were gathered around the front counter looking at pictures of dogs on their phones. The hostess completely ignored me as I stood there waiting to pay. Since I needed to use the restroom, I walked away hoping that when I returned to pay, she would be done with her photo session with friends. I went to the restroom - and then returned to the counter. Again, the hostess ignored me, while she completed some paperwork she was working on - she didn't even acknowledge me with a "I'll be with you in a moment maam". After a few minutes, she finally turned, took my money and bill, handed me the change and said "thanks - have a good day". This woman needs some retraining - in both service and manners. This experience is unfortunate - but I will probably go back to this diner because it's the only bad experience I have had there. I write this from the safety of my restroom. My husband and I stopped here randomly yesterday and it looked cool from the outside. Inside, was every single red flag of a place that was probably going to end up in making us both sick- and I should have listened. First red flag- very outdated and dirty feeling. Second red flag- Overly extensive menu- like, giant menu, This tells me one of two things- that either most or all of their food is frozen, or old. There can be no in between. Third red flag- the restaurant was completely dead on a sunday. Like one other table in there in a popular beachy town. Fourth- anything that touched that fryer (fries in our case) tasted sweet. Like funnel cake almost. Someone isn't maintaining or cleaning something correctly. We both got burgers, and though the patty was nice, everything else was a disaster. The pickles were incredibly foul. The coleslaw was warm and tasted like regret. I'd steer clear of this one. My husband and I have made the bathroom our temporary home after eating here, and still feeling the effects the next day. read more

Let's start with the good: 1. When the hostess finally appeared from wherever she was, there were at least 3-4 people waiting to be seated. She was at least polite. Now the bad: 1. Wait and wait and wait for a waitress to appear. She passes by "I'll be right with you". 2. Wait some more. Nobody is right with us. No drinks, no water, no nothing. 3. The place was HOT temperature wise. 4. Still no waitress. Only 1 serving the entire room. 5. Buffalo perogies we're good and appear to be made in-house. Cheese burger was great and quite large about 1/2 lb. Breakfast for dinner was great too. Gourmet food this is not. We were camping nearby at JD State Park and all the spots in Tequesta were super busy so we popped in here and had a great meal. Just simple burger and breakfast for dinner. The prices are outstanding. My burger was perfect, my wife's stuffed french toast was perfect, fluffy dinner pancakes, and too much food for my kids to finish with them splitting an entree. I am not sure how a diner can be this bad! In fact, in my 60 plus years of life I have never eaten at a "diner" this amazingly horrible in my entire life. Attitude of waitress - 0, Food - 0, cleanliness - 0 Everything that can be wrong with a place is in this place. It started with the bad attitude of the server and ended with a nasty dressing (tasted kinda like watered down mayo and ranch) that they suggested was a replacement for mayo on a burger. This stuff was too wet to be on a salad much less a burger. It was vile. Most of the fries were the crumbs that come out of the bottom of the frozen fries bag. The burger was ordered well done, because it is ground beef. Processed meat should not be eaten any way but well for health reasons which is why McDonald's and Burger King serve all their burgers well. To make sure my burger was well, they cut a chunk out of it or someone took a bite out of it. I'll let you decide from the photos. However; a well done burger does not have to mean a dry burger, unless you eat here. That might be why they have the watery liquid for the burger, to cut down on the dryness. The bun was well done too, actually burned. The tomatoes were thicker than the burger and the lettuce was literally dripping water and flooding the plate making the burger bun soggy. All in all not a good experience at all. I will never go back. This is the worst meal of 2022 and to be honest, the worst dining experience I have had in the past 5 years. I mean serving food on a dirty plate is inexcusable. The red smudges/things you see on the plate were dried and crusty. Obviously has been through the dishwasher and dried on the plate. Disgusting. I sat at a small booth right before you go into the other dining area. The wall had hand prints and smudges all over it. It clearly had not been wiped down or cleaned in some time much less that day ( it was 12 Noon when I was there). I sincerely doubt it had been cleaned in the past two to three weeks. read more
