Wow what a hidden gem! The exterior is unsuspecting as is the interior, to be honest. The furniture and decor is dated and it feels like an old school diner. The staff are on top of things and constantly checking in to ensure everything is good. We ordered the 1/2 silver dollars off the kids menu for our little one and they came out within minutes. It was perfect for us to be able to feed her before we ate. I got the French toast. The bread was cooked perfectly and was wonderful. We also ordered the patty melt which was loaded full of meat and came out steaming hot from the grill. The patty melt was served with fries which were also tasty. The bacon and cheese omelette was HUGE! The meal was served with home fries and buttered toast. This meal could have easily been split between two people. The omelette was eggcellent (ha) and couldn't have been cooked more ideal. The bathrooms are nice and clean and the women's room has a baby changing station. Diner Looking for a great little breakfast spot in the Jupiter area?  Look no further than the Royal café. A no frills honest-to-goodness diner that has your breakfast needs covered.  They do lunch as well but I only use them for breakfast. Just an FYI: It can get busy in there on weekend, especially during the season, so be prepared to wait.  I hear it can be the same for lunch as well. When you pull up, it doesn't look like much to be honest but it is an old school diner with tables and a counter area.  Servers are quick and the coffee is hot and gets refilled often. The menu is pretty comprehensive: you should be able to find something that you know and love on there.  I went with a straight up combo: 2-eggs, toast, home fries and bacon.  Sort of my litmus test of breakfast. Since we're new residents of South Florida, it can be a bit unsettling to enter a restaurant where "everyone.else" is a regular. That was definitely not the case at The Royal Cafe. The entire staff, from the owner/greeter, through our waitress to the busboy, was friendly and welcoming. The menu was like an old classic diner. We were there for breakfast and it did not disappoint. Our omelettes were large and perfectly cooked. So many places serve a griddle omelette, spreading the eggs on a grill and then rolling ingredients inside. Not at Royal Cafe; they obviously whipped the eggs in a blender and then cooked them in a pan, so they puffed up and puffed up. They were "stuffed" with meats, veggies and cheese. The bacon was perfectly grilled. Since we're on a keto diet, no potatoes or toast, but they happily swapped in strawberries. Our server came by repeatedly to refill our coffee. Food was good but almost left because associates too busy listening to an older man go on and on about his Final Thesis in Oceanography Degree Presentation. I could figure out for the first 15 minutes if he worked there or was a customer. Weird it seemed like something that happened in the 80's. I wanted to say something but felt sorry that he needed that much attention on a Monday morning at 8am. Instead of excusing themselves the conversation went on and on. The Royal Cafe has been a Jupiter staple forever. It is often packed during the lunch hour, with a line out the door. All this for a diner who takes cash only! My go-to is the Tuna Melt, and I rotate on their standard sides of fries, coleslaw, potato salad or fruit cup. The menu does not appear to have been updated in decades, nor anything else about this restaurant- the decor, the seating, the staff . . . nor the prices! With straight-up diner food and no attempts at being gourmet or new american or chef-directed . . . the Royal Cafe is reliable and comforting. The staff is super friendly and the service is insanely fast. The Royal Cafe is the definition of 'Oldies can be goodies.' I love going to a place where you can run into a neighbor. The Royal Cafe was on my list of places to try when Diving in Jupiter. So I headed over for lunch prior to an afternoon dive. I had the Bleu Cheese (7-11) burger ordered Medium, and it was excellent. Very tasty, generous amount of bleu cheese, and great buns. Water glass was kept filled by the very attentive waitperson. Service was excellent! Gave it s shot today, did a drive by, no wait, perfect. We moved on to find a parking spot, whoa. The lot is crazy, cars trying to make turns into and out of the parking area, they all seemed to have trouble negotiating their lanes. Grabbed a spot and with our heads on a swivel made the walk. At lunch the breakfast choices are kinda a hybrid partial menu. No home fries, only scrambled eggs and omelettes. Some sides too. That was fine, in our wheelhouse. I went ham and cheese om, the wife went scrambled with bacon, both of us went biscuits. She got fresh fruit I went healthy too, fries. The food came quick, the om was huge, the fries nicely done, the biscuit buttered. The fruit appeared to be fresh cut, plenty of bacon. The omelette was big, it was good. The biscuits were kinda ehh, a little dry. Perhaps better 3 hours earlier. The bacon reportedly was salty. The place seemed to be full of regulars, the staff seemed to know everyone. Sure, my visits there have been rare largely because I write them off and then forget why. Today I when back and when my western omelette with home fries came to the table I remembered why I avoided the place. The omelette was ok but the home fries were terrible. Only half were eatable as large portions were burned into large flat shapes. Service wasn't good. Finished the meal and waited. No coffee refill and no check. This is the type of diner you remember going to as a kid -a northern style diner, you know the kind where they have 11 x 14 canvases on the wall announcing Thursday's Meatloaf Special. I haven't had the opportunity to try any lunch items yet, BUT WILL MAKE THE EFFORT very soon! In just consuming their breakfast offering, I can tell you this is one of the BEST breakfast spots in Jupiter. The portions are huge - omelets are 5-6 eggs easily and the hash browns are the best I've ever had, not greasy and crisp yet fluffy on the inside. Their pancakes are up there with uncle Eddie's pancakes (UEPs)Juno Beach Cafe's popular pancakes)). They use FRESH mushrooms (most breakfast places DO NOT) which I always ask about prior to ordering anything with mushrooms in it. Biscuits are house-made, legit. Kids under 3 eat free - grilled cheese, apple sauce and a drink, perfect for my 15 month old. Crayons and coloring sheets are provided for the kids to keep them busy. Wait staff is super- friendly, lightening speed fast and exceptionally accommodating. The best part is that the owner makes her way over to ask us about our experience each time. i usually like it there for a solid breakfast. brought my daughter this time and she ordered the French Toast. what a rip- off! it says four pieces, but what it actually is is two small sizes of bread cut in half. The texture was gooey and judging from the color which was very yellow, they are using up their egg yolks from the egg white omelettes! because of the high fat content, the inside did not cook right so it was gooey and wet. After a morning exercise extravaganza at a nearby community center, my friend introduce me to the Royal Café for breakfast. The restaurant has an unassuming ambiance with seasoned servers that have a very friendly demeanor. We sat at the breakfast bar where we always enjoyed having a meal at a café. We both ordered poached eggs with bacon that came out perfect and the bacon was crispy as requested. I love the atmosphere and the comfortable feeling the staff provides their patrons.
