The drive was easy and we were the second car in the parking lot. The staff there is incredibly friendly and helpful and the selection is absolutely outstanding. We picked out some great plants and are excited to see them bloom. My only recommendation would be, if you are coming in from out of town, consider coming on a Saturday so that you can also do the bluebell factory tour. I also wish that we had planned ahead and left time to go to lunch at Truth BBQ and walk around in town.

Summer time i visited as early as they were open 8 am best time. There's just so much to see. We saw a quite a few people doing photo shoots and even one guy said he visits for bird watching. We bought tickets in advance as it is timed entry to control traffic flow within the exhibit and conservatory, which I think really improves the experience. I recommend going earlier in the day to avoid crowds. Tickets include admission to the Hall of Entomology / a kid friendly exhibit. My kids really enjoyed the interactive elements of this area and learned a lot about insects. They were even able to touch and feel a millipede. But the main attraction is the Rainforest Conservatory, a 3 story glass enclosure which feels like a tropical rainforest. There are several species and thousands of butterflies in this stunning space. My kids enjoyed spotting and identifying them. They also enjoyed seeing a green python, which was a cool bonus. We had an amazing time here and highly recommend it as a family friendly activity for all ages.

These gardens are located on Westcott - to park you would need to continue down the driveway where there is additional parking and signage leading to the bridge to the home and grounds. This place is picturesque, and serene. You'd never guess something like this is nestled in Houston.
