I walked in today for my first ever chiropractic visit. I didn't know what to expect, but I'm so happy I got Dr. Hayes! She took the time to ask about my occupation and listened to my concerns. She explained everything she was doing before starting. The adjustment itself didn't hurt at all. My neck pain is almost completely gone and my lower back feels significantly better. She sent me home with at home care instructions and even emailed me a YouTube video of the stretches she advised. Will be back soon! read more

This is how chiropractic care should be done! I don't have insurance, or the funds to go see a chiropractor as much as I need to. It's so lovely to have a place I know I can go to if I wake up starting to feel stiff and achey, and it'll only take $20 out of my pocket, I can definitely handle that. =) Plus the care is great too! It was suggested by my friends and a massage therapist that I see a chiropractor when deep tissue massage was no longer giving me any relief. I was experiencing very painful, neck, back and shoulder pain due to weekly work related travel (carrying around luggage, terrible airplane seats, etc), work related stress and poor posture. I used to go to a really intense chiropractor for severe back pain. He was very skilled but also expensive with limited hours. Enter The Joint! They have multiple locations across town, and there's never more than a 20 minute wait. They don't do the more complicated adjustments, and that's fine with me. I have been to The Joint over 60 times at over 10 locations across the country over the last 8 years and have always been happy with every visit, but this location closest to home is the only one that is repeatedly disappointing. They always lightly touch you and rush you out the door in less than 1-2 minutes and refuse to do anything more even when you tell them you don't feel right and are in pain and feel like they have done nothing. The chiropractors here are nothing like the ones at other locations. They do not diagnose you at all, just a random light crack in one spot, tell you thats it and to leave. The young female chiropractors here are the worst. They couldn't crack a toothpick with the effort they put in. Save yourself the disappointment and drive to another location, every other location has been great. read more

I have some preferences over the doctors, but overall they are great. I like the monthly plan option to help save money and I like how quickly I'm in-and-out of there. I will never return to The Joint to be treated by Dr.Joshua Snellenberger. This guy is like a Jekkyl and Hyde. After arriving and he reviewed the new patient forms,he stated he could not treat me until I got evaluated 1st at a ER. I had fallen and struck my head resulting in pain and nausea. He was very sincere and empathetic in encouraging me highly to be evaluated. Because of his concern,I followed through. I returned to the Joint after being cleared,and his entire demeanor changed. He was distant,dismissive, and when he gave me direction how to maneuver around the slender exam table,he would not assist me at all. He actually stepped away from me when I reached out for him to help me get around. I was in severe pain,having great difficulty moving,and almost fell off the table because I was so unstable yet he wouldnt help. I thought was his behavior of not assisting me due to COVID. His sympathetic side had completely left. My fall had happened the nite before,the pain was fresh. And yet he was extremely harsh when giving me the adjustment. I've had chiro treatment many times, being treated so harshly is not necessary to achieve help. After this behavior he tries to sell me "a package" where you can get a set of visits at a discount. Lastly I was there as a new patient with the 1st visit of $29 being waived....I was charged. The doctor did not treat me when I arrived the 1st time...he simply reviewed my forms and sent me on my way. For my purpose of getting treatment at the recommendation of 2 friends I was personally and physically treated harshly, approached to purchase a package and still charged disregarding their own promotion. I wen t for treatment,not to go shopping. Do Not think your going to get fair or especially good treatment by this chiropractor. read more

Dr. Snellenberger is amazing. I had hurt my shoulder back in July of 2019, I went to my regular doctor and he said that nothing could be done-just try not to use it. Then I went to the another The Joint location & Dr. Snellenberger was filling in for the regular doctor on staff. I told him about the issue with my right shoulder & after a few manipulations, things got better within a day. Then later, since it felt so good - I messed it up again. This time it hurt so bad I really thought something was broken or torn. After seeing Dr. Snellenberger again - within a day, my arm felt great again. He really is a miracle worker. Having bad experiences with The Joint in Lubbock, I was reluctant to visit the location in south Austin.. especially during COVID. To my surprise it was all around phenomenal. Ashely at the front desk was every bit of professional, sweet, and extremely assertive in maintaining cleanliness. Dr. Davidson was great. The whole experience was so welcoming and clean, I was amazed. Highly recommended this location. Give all employees a raise, they deserve it!! read more

Obviously you can tell from the reviews that this place is good. Really, it is. The docs provide quality care, and the low prices and ability to just walk in for an appointment are both big selling points. Yet I am a little surprised at the solid 5 star reviews. I've been receiving chiropractic care off and on for over 15 years to manage chronic pain, and have seen many chiros in several cities. At The Joint, they give good adjustments. However, I don't feel that they are as thorough as other chiropractors. Even on the first visit, I didn't receive a complete examination. Also, they lack many of the therapies that a full-service chiropractor usually has (roller beds, muscle stimulation, ultrasound, massage chairs, etc.) I have never been offered heat or a cold pack before or after the adjustment, which every single other chiropractor I've seen has done at some point or another (either to relax the muscle tightness that interferes w/the adjustment--which is a chronic problem for me--or to reduce any inflammation following the adjustment). Some really good chiros I have seen also incorporate a little massage into adjustments, but they don't really do that here. This is not to say anything negative about the drs. here. They really are good and seem very knowledgeable and caring. It's just that the services are limited. Despite that, I've been to The Joint about a dozen times and probably will continue to go there sometimes. I find it helpful (and cheaper) for maintenance in between visits with my more expensive chiropractor (a change in my insurance benefits is what prompted me to try something less expensive). But this practice doesn't completely meet my needs by itself. read more

This is crazy... how can the "fast food" of chiropractors be so great? I am consistently impressed whenever I go to The Joint! Yes, the doctors move through the patients quickly, but that's fine because they always do a fantastic job on my spine. It's the quality of the adjustment that counts! There are 3 or 4 different chiropractors who work here... my favorite adjustments have come from Dr. Hong Lee. The prices are wonderful, the hours are the best (they are even open on Saturday and Sunday!), and they are always very friendly. So if you can get over the fact that you're visiting a chiropractor in a generic strip mall next to a freeway and a Best Buy, I think that you will be as impressed as I have been! read more

This place keeps getting better. Dr. Will is the latest greatest addition to an already phenomenal place. I love going here for adjustments, as both DR's are extremely competent, caring, and have a great understanding of the body. Having had HUGE neck and back problems stemming from a auto accident, and a cervical diskectomy, I I can whole heartedly recommend The Joint. Dr. Will and Dr. Larry know how to read the body and adjust accordingly. And only 20 dollars a visit. The only way to beat that price is to go monthly, and it's only $15 a visit. I was very pleased with The Joint, except I had never had my back adjusted the way the Dr. did here. After 2 months, I was in horrible pain with a torn rotator cuff from the way the Dr. pushed on my right shoulder to adjust my back. Now I am in theray and may have to have surgery on my shoulder to repair the damage due to the pushing on my shoulder. read more

They are amazing! I just moved here from California and was so sad to leave my chiropractor. I tried one place who was alright, but in my opinion was to into the tools, and needed to be more old school and hands on. One time he made my neck worse! They will answer any questions you have and even call you the next day to check up on their job and see if you have any additional questions you didn't think of that day. For years I had said I would never go to a chiropractor. Well, folks, some times you just gotta. After suffering from a locked lower back for 8 days a friend recommended The Joint. I have to say that every one of these glowing reviews are absolutely accurate; The Joint is quick, easy, and inexpensive. I've been visiting this Joint location for a couple of months now, and I'm always very satisfied with the service. I've had at least four chiropractors work on me over this time period, and while I'm always very happy, today totally FLOORED me. I had Dr. Laura (I think she only works weekends) and this is the second time I've gotten her. I'm always happy with her joyful (and yes, her greeting makes me think 'joy ful') greeting, her attention to detail, and her willingness to go above and beyond. Frankly, when I went in today, I was aching everywhere, and didn't have a reason for it, nor a suggestion about what was worse. I was just all over aching, and I felt WRONG. She was honest with me, admitted it may be a virus working its way through my body, then she started looking over my joints. And I mean all of my joints. She went through my wrist (which had been injured a week ago and she did NOT make it worse, always a bonus). Then she moved up through my elbows (which also needed minor adjustment), laid me down, went through my ankles, knees, and hip joints (yes, all of them needed it), and I immediately started feeling better in my body. I hadn't even consciously realised my hips were out of whack, but she saw it and she fixed it. Then she moved me over, and went all up my ribs (which, incidentally almost all of them also needed adjustments) and even my scapula in a surprisingly not-painful way. At that point, she smiled and commented 'Wow, you really WERE out of whack, weren't you?' and I could only agree. The relief I felt at getting not just my 'primary' complaints looked at, but a full body once-over was immense. I had so much 'off' that getting it all 'put back' made me feel like a new person. I went around the rest of the day smiling, happy and comfortable in my body. I love love love Dr. Laura and how she not only gave me the 'full treat' but seemed happy to do it. I was really pleased with the adjustments I received from Dr. Will (and one from Dr. Larry). After having regular (very expensive) chiropractic care for 4+ years, I was thrilled to find a place that does such great adjustments for such a great price. I love the drop-in model, and usually got treated right away at. (Beware Friday around 5 pm, though, as that was a longer wait--maybe 30 minutes.) Before I was able to start intensive physical therapy for my chronic shoulder and hip pain, I had a few adjustments that allowed me to keep moving. After about 10 visits in the past 4 months, in combination with intensive physical therapy, I am out of chronic pain! I know where I will go if anything should crop up again! Thanks! read more

The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because of the front desk lady. She is not very welcoming at all and so I started going to the one in the arboretum area. I like Espinoza so much though that I started going back though. I just went to this location a few days ago and there was a different blond hair gal working who was much more welcoming. I've left comments on a few other "The Joint Chiropractic Place." I give all of them a four star because its just a quick in and out kind of place, but I feel like sometime you don't get a welcoming hello and some of the chiropractors don't even ask you what issues you are having. That's why I like Espinoza is because he actually takes some time to ask you what problems you are having and makes conversation. At this location there are also chair and deep tissue massages available through the Sage Blossom. I had a massage by Sara, who is no longer there, was wonderful and she was truly caring and really respects the body and how it works. I love how company is open 7 days a week. The best time to come though I have noticed is really any time after 5pm. One would think it would be busy because people after work would come, but this location it's fairly slow and steady. Sometimes I'm the only one there and get more conversation time with the chiropractor. read more

You may not see the same doctor every time, but they take good notes so each person knows what is going on with you, and they are very knowledgeable. That being said, I started seeing Dr. Barras when my issues were far more severe and required a great deal more attention and additional therapies that his office provided.
