A wasted visit with Dr. Kori. This is not my usual JC location but since it was on my way home, I thought I'd just get adjusted here instead of driving another 4-5 miles to the Glendale location. Dr. Kori was disengaged and didn't even bother with the courtesy of a greeting. Worse, there was no assessment other than a quick glance at my e-chart from past visits to the Glendale location. He used the drop table twice then one manual adjustment of my pelvis, did one side adjustment while I was on the left lateral position, and only adjusted my neck to one side. I know my left neck muscles are tight, but other providers would adjust their grip placement or just do some loosening moves and would always get it to adjust. Dr. Kori didn't even bother. It just two feeble attempts and just a weak trigger point placement with a finger. Sure, maybe if I gave him more time it would be better, but he didn't give me any more than 2 minutes. I was the ONLY patient when I walked in and when I walked out, so he had no excuse not to properly adjust me. No wonder Glendale has more patients - Drs. Andrew, Keo, and Simon ALWAYS ask me if I had any problem spots for the day, and ALWAYS take the time to give a proper adjustment even when there are patients waiting. I ended up driving to Glendale after this to get proper chiropractic care. read more

Usually when I come to this location to get adjusted the doctors are very friendly and I get a full assessment and adjustment...not today! The doctor barely greeted me when I went back. I told him up front I didn't want my neck adjusted and he seemed annoyed and asked why- (personal preference, shouldn't need to explain myself). He did 2 quick adjustments and said we were done. He didn't even try to do a full assessment like I normally get, and when I asked him why he just simply said he didn't do it. I have to go to a second location now and pay another $20 to get adjusted the proper way! I'm never returning to this location again- this doctor needs better bedside manner. read more

I'm disappointed in how this was handled. I called to book an appointment as a first-time guest, but no one answered, so I scheduled online for a 3:30 PM slot. When I arrived a few minutes early, the front desk staff told me they weren't accepting new clients and dismissed me, suggesting I try another location. If online appointments aren't available for first-time guests, they should be removed to prevent confusion. Came here on recommendation by a friend. I was intrigued because they don't take insurance but yet offer very affordable sessions. I ended up doing a payment plan to save money, and that worked for me. But I could see how it might not be the best idea because they don't do appointments (and therefore appointment reminders), so if you don't use up your sessions in a month, they're gone. So with this kind of place, you have to be consistent because you're kind of responsible for your own care plan. I found Dr. Long to be very nice and knowledgeable. I always felt great after my adjustment and he was fun to talk to as well. I pretty much only went when he was in the office because once I find a chiropractor I can trust, I stick with them. If you care who you get, definitely call ahead to check. One time I didn't and the other chiropractor did not seem as experienced or knowledgeable and he actually hurt my neck. I was in pain for 2 days afterwards. Overall a good experience here. Helped me get my pain under control and gave me good advice for pillows and exercises. I just kind of wish the sessions were longer. You're in and out in 15 minutes, which is convenient but a little underwhelming. read more

Dr.Trevor Hollingsworth is the only one I will leave my house for on my very rare days off!!! As an Esthetician and Makeup Artist working in the crazy world of Hollywood, I'm constantly on my feet and on the move all day long, and this has created lower back and hip issues that I have been suffering with for years. I have been to what feels like hundreds of Chiropractors and specialists, and some are ok (and some should no longer be practicing haha!). But when I went to Dr.Trevor for the first time, he immediately stood out from all the rest. He is extremely knowledgeable and truly listens to you and your needs. He can pinpoint any issue and do an adjustment on the first try (something that I feel is so rare.) I've had so many Dr.'s just pound away on my back and neck, and I leave feeling like I've been hit by a car. Haha! But not with Dr.Trevor. I love that I can go in at whatever time fits within my schedule (and there is tons of free parking). I've gone in when my back is completely "out." For some reason they refunded the money so i didn't go then the following month they charged for two months. i didn't go the second month since i thought i didn't have the service. The difference I find between a traditional chiropractor and the Joint is for the price of 1 hour traditional appointment you get 4 appointments at the Joint. I can't afford to go to a traditional chiropractor once a week every week for years. But I can go every week to the Joint and its the frequency & consistency that has made the biggest difference for me after the initial visits. I get everything "put back into place" once a week versus it "staying out of whack" for an entire month to afford that monthly traditional chiropractic visit. Dr. Dan has taught me more about the way my bones and muscles work together and why I have pain in specific places in 5 visits then 15 years of seeing chiropractors, PTs and orthopedic doctors. I'm walking level, have significantly less pain and, most importantly, I'm able to understand what's going on with my body and how to take care of the issues. This place is awful. I have had severe back pain for over a year now and I went in because they said they could help. Ended up falling for their monthly membership garbage scheme. I went 6 times and no doctors ever listened to my concerns about my health, just sat me down, popped my back, and told me to beat it. These are stock chiropractors who do not care about you. I started going to a real place 2 weeks ago and I was listened to and my back already feels better. I begged them to help me and they just said oh we'll see how it feels next week. Dr. Alex is one of the best chiropractors I've seen in 15 years! I live with intractable pain due to a condition where tumors form on the spinal cord and nerves. My pain issues are pretty complex & I've seen dozens of chiropractors over the years while being a member of The Joint. I happened to be in the area and saw that this location was nearby & decided to stop in for an adjustment. Dr. Alex took the time to ask questions & understand where my pain was deriving from and also offers suggestions that may help improve your pain. He does a very thorough adjustment that takes several minutes. I even told him that it was well appreciated since many locations give you the quickest 20 second adjustment that doesn't help and I'm back in pain a half hour later. I've come several times over the last couple of weeks and I never felt leaving like he missed a spot or that it was not helpful. His adjustments have helped me a lot & I'm in a lot less pain overall. The only good thing about this location was Dr. Alex, however, they moved him to a different location just like they seem to do with all of the other doctors. This location stopped seeing patients on Sundays which made it difficult for me since that's when I could go. Then, half the time they were randomly closed on Saturdays (without notice) which is the only other day I could make it. I would show up to locked doors and lights out. I chose to freeze my subscription to decide if I wanted to cancel or not. I decided to cancel, but was told I couldn't because they 'couldn't override the system from charging me once the freeze was over'. So I reluctantly accepted the next charge to 'come out of the freeze' and went in and filled out the paperwork to cancel within the week of being charged. Now, a month later, I see that I have been charged again even though I have canceled and followed all protocol. Absolutely unacceptable. I do not recommend joining this location. I honestly hate leaving bad reviews but I had an awful experience with this location. The woman named Lorraine is super rude. Her co worker gave me the wrong paper to fill out and she continued to chastise her in front of everyone and put her down over and over even though she apologized for getting it wrong. It was clearly the other girls first day or first week. She was being so mean to her. And then after my appointment she LIED to me to get me to sign up for the wellness plan saying that there was a location right next to my house in Palmdale.. there is no location. She even tried to give me a number and address for this location.. the number was a false number and the address she provided does not have a Chiropractor office. When I called to ask for a refund and to be taken off the wellness plan she basically called me a liar by saying she can't refund me until she makes sure the location really isn't there. I demanded a refund and she hung up on me. I called back and let her have it. She said she hung up because she's busy and there's other people she has to help. Super unprofessional. Super rude. Honestly if I was her boss I would have fired her immediately. The only good thing about the place was the chiropractor himself. But he needs to take a second look at his staff. read more

However, your front desk receptionist could use a bit of lesson in customer service particularly when you just opened your business at a new location. She's unwelcoming and rude, and I don't say that lightly as I've been to different clinics. FIRST IMPRESSION IS KEY! She told me that the consultation may take up to 45 minutes, and there's a new patient ahead of me. I asked politely if that means I had to wait 45 minutes. The short answer would have been a simple yes, no or maybe. But no, she went on a rant, and the demeanor in how she spoke to me made me feel like I was being spoken to like a child. It was my first visit to this place as I was looking for a Chiropractor near my home. I've been going to the same Chiropractor, Dr. Lynott, in Long Beach for the past 15 years. The drive is long, but they treat me very well and always felt like a new person after each adjustments. His receptionist are very welcoming, which is important if you are having pain. But I wanted to try this new place in my neighborhood called "The Joint" so I don't have to drive far anymore. However, I ended up leaving without getting treatment/adjustment. I didn't feel like it's worth giving them my business or it's worth the 45- minute wait as I was treated poorly from the get go.
