Dr. J has left :( !! All the good doctors left! I only go for Dr. J. He really takes the time to examine your spine. I had a problem with my right shoulder and he's the only one that's been able to fix it and continually ask about how it's doing. He takes time to listen to your concerns and always makes the time to adjust my left leg which is a bit shorter than my right. The only reason why I kept my membership. I will cancel my membership if they don't get anyone as good as him! The other doctors just do the bare minimum... Overall this place has been good convenient when needed. However, there is something to be said for patient care and needs. I called ahead of time in real need just prior to them closing. I was told they would wait based on the situation. It was bad, still is as I showed up and they closed without being seen. I understand their hours but in a time when someone is struggling and they tell you they will wait and arriving four minutes after when a visit takes under ten minutes. I really don't like this place; but I have gone to numerous "The Joint Chiropractic" offices in California and other states. This one here has such a turn over rate with doctors it's unbelievable. Some of the reasons in my opinion would be the lack of customer service this office provides. I've been to the one in mission valley and the service there compare to this one is night and day. A few visits ago the receptionist was more into her private conversation of teenage related conversation over he phone with what appears to be to a family member. The conversation was loud and things you rather now hear about their private life. The other reception isn't the quickest on her feet and seems like the task she has is beyond her capabilities. I've been a member to this office for over a year and believe I've have been seen by at least 9 doctors. You can not possibly get use to one doctor because the following week, they may no longer be providing their services. The wait here is ridiculous. 30-60 minutes would appear to be a blessing. This location is closest to where I live but I try to avoid coming here just because there's a chance I'd get this one doctor who spends only seconds adjusting me. There are better doctors at other locations for sure; Doctors who take the time to assess and adjust and reassess their adjustments. I'd like for this doctor and doctors like them to spend a little more time being thorough with their adjustments. Sure, some of us come in just for maintenance and complain of no actual pain, but that doesn't mean you can rush our time and cut our visits short. We're paying to the receive the quality care your company claims to provide, not a "hello," 3 cracks and a "you're good." There are some doctors who really make it feel like you're getting your money's worth - others, not so much. I found The Joint on a Sunday morning when I couldn't move my neck. I was shocked to find a chiropractor open on the weekend! I have chronic spinal issues and see Dr. J as often as possible. He's saved my sanity and improved my quality of life. He listens to what's going on or what may be new/different and I never leave dissatisfied. I always walk out smiling and feeling like a new woman! Wait times vary from time and day, and whether you're willing to see first available doctor or a specific one. For the most part it's usually reasonable and there is an errand to run in Village Walk while you wait. I was having some lower back pain and could feel that my spine was not aligned. So, I decided to check this place out. I was greeted by a friendly receptionist and told her I was interested in an adjustment. I filled out some general paperwork and watched a short video. I was greeted by Dr. Alesandra who brought me into the back for my adjustment. She is amazing! I told her what my problem areas were and she was able to align and make the proper adjustments. I have been going to this location for a few years now. Unfortunately, the turnover of doctors are high but usually the ones there read my file and ask questions and the visit is beneficial. But there is one doctor that I will never see again and if he is working I will wait for someone else or another day even if it means another day of pain. Dr. Jag didn't not ask me any questions, spent less than a minute on me (no joke), didn't introduce himself, did not adjust one thing and that was it. I should have asked for a credit on that visit. Just got home before I literally was Adviced by the "Doctor" i believe his name is Dr Harold Heeter, NOT to come and see a chiropractor since I have been refusing neck adjustments. I was REFUSED treatment. And he went on to lecture me that adjustments wont help me if Im not getting adjustments on my neck, I have had him before and what he would do is literally push on my back once and say "you're done". Don't get me wrong this location has had doctors that were good (Dr Alessandra and Dr J) and another doctor currently working there but I think he only comes in on Mondays, Dr Justin is really good, he adjusted me last week Monday. Note I have been going to the Joint to this location since it opened for years now! I am an ER nurse and know about adjustments and it is always the patient's right to refuse certain treatments AKA adjustments if they are not comfortable with it!! the spine has more than just cervical/neck area. I have scoliosis in my midback so thats why i need my hips mid area adusted! I you only specialize in one area why are you even a doctor. I have another coworker who is and ER MD that goes to the same location who has always refused neck adjustments, did she get turned away too? Management look into this so called "doctor". He is either forcing patients to get neck adjustments or literally telling them not to go there or doing just a "crack" to push patients away from even staying with your location. read more

It's ok!!! I completely understand that it's a walk-in facility, no harm there. However, there is rarely a receptionist available, which than there's only the Doctor who is doing the adjustments along with being a receptionist. It takes a lot of time for just one person to actually run this place;which than makes the lines even longer to get in (because of all the new ppl trying to check in). If this place hired more people like the down town facilities, maybe they would get more stars. I had the Wellness Plan (WP), I read on the papers they gave me I had to go 2 days prior to the next billing cycle or else I would get charge and charges are non refundable. So I made sure to go on April 27 which was 3 days prior, I told the girl at the front desk, she said her name was Alison but i didn't see a name tag so idk if thats her actual name because she seems to not care about her job, not only with me but ive seen her attitude with other customers, anyways i told her i wanted to cancel my membership, she tried to offer me another plan, I denied it and she went on the computer and told me I was good to go. She never gave me a cancelation form so I left. A few days later I checked my bank account and they charged me for another month so I called them and she picked up. The first thing she asked when I explained what happened was if I got her name which I didn't have, I had to go back and get her name. She said no refunds can be given even though I explained everything that happened and it was clearly her fault. When I asked for a supervisor or someone I could call or talk to about it she said it's only her and the doctors. Very displeased with their receptionist. read more

I'm so over this place! My initial review was a 5-star rating, but this place continues to be a disappointment! The regular doctors are great, although when they have someone filling in (like the Indian lady), they're HORRIBLE!  She tweeked my shoulder (almost dislocated it), so my shoulder hurt for about two weeks.  She also tweeked my back, and it hurt so bad, I couldn't stand up straight for four days.  I was walking around hunched over like the Hunchback of Notre Dame! When they first opened up, it was great!  Wait time was usually 10-15 minutes.  Now since they've built up their clientele, the wait time has steadily increased from 15 minutes, to 30 minutes, to 45 minutes, and now it's usually at LEAST an hour.  That is totally unacceptable!  I stopped going to my former chiropractor because I liked the convenience of not having to have an appointment to get adjusted.  You could just walk in, get adjusted, and walk out.  Now I walk in and walk right out pissed off because the wait time is always ridiculous.   Plus the waiting room is tiny (only room for four people to sit), so you have to stand around outside and wilt away in the sun.  I'm just throwing money away now since I can never get adjusted within a reasonable amount of time.  If there's a ridiculous wait time the next time I try and go, I'm just going to cancel my membership and start going back to my former chiropractor.  The wait time is getting WAY out of hand! The issue only seems to be at this location.  When there's a long wait, I'll call the Point Loma location and the Mission Valley location, and they're longest wait time is always 20 minutes or less.  Not that I'd waste my time and gas driving all the way over there for an adjustment, but it just goes to show that this is an isolated issue at the Eastlake location. I recommended at least five people to come here, but after the increased wait time, I wouldn't recommend this place anymore. read more

I give it two stars because compared to the other chiro offices I have been to, what makes or breaks the office is the front desk. This one has a very unwelcoming front desk and it's almost like it's an inconvenience for the customer to be there. I was referred by my bf because he had such a great experience at the Mission Valley location that I was excited there was now one here in Eastlake. Needless to say we were disappointed. Not only did the front desk let two other people go in front of us( what happened to walk in priority?) but she (she said she was the manager too?) forgot to add my bf to the patient list. She tried to make it up to him by giving him a free visit but he's never coming back and neither will I. I think I'll drive up to Mission Valley instead. Why? I went back a second time today and the same lady at the front desk didn't even bother to greet me or look up. I stood there for a minute before I finally just went up to the desk to find out the wait time. No redemption. I guess this is the status quo here. read more

So I came in to cancel my account, they were not busy just me an another person waiting in the lobby area. I asked the receptionist Jessica if my cancellation form also canceled my brothers account since I was the one paying for both to which she replied "so?". She must've seen the change in my face because she proceeded to explain that it didn't matter who was paying, my brother also needed to come in & cancel since he was an adult. Then, I politely asked her if I could have a copy of my cancellation form, and she said to give her a second, which I did. As I was waiting for my copy, I watched her clean up her desk, fix her hair & make small talk with the only other person in the room. Then she looked at me as I was standing waiting for my copy & asked "so can I help you..." to which I replied I'm just waiting for my copy. Then she said "well I'm not done filing yet so..." and she looked at the chairs as if telling me to sit down. Then she proceeded to help a new client set up his account & when she was done she finally gave me my copy. So on top of her rude and condescending attitude, she made me wait on purpose. For what, to prove a point? To make me feel less? She definitely needs a review on what customer service is and how to treat others with respect. read more

I visited this location and sadly was treated very RUDELY from the time I walked in the front door. The receptionist was very unprofessional and I tried to share with her that I had one visit left on my account and she refused to honor it. I was AMAZED especially since I had credit card in hand and one going to join their monthly program. Way more than I expected. My chiropractor retired and I have a few injuries to be careful with. Dr. Gale was over the top great. I hear the full time doc there is good but idk. Dr. Gale only works Sunday and Tuesday. No appointments made. You walk in anytime. Very cool. Very affordable. If you pay top regular price the visits are $29. First visit $19 or free if you buy a package of visits. (Which I did surprising myself). Dr. Gale found things and worked on things that I didn't know but explained a lot. I've been seeing chiropractors for about 15 years now and no one has ever taken the time and attention as Allesandra does at the Joint. First of all-they are open all the time! The hours are great! Second-you can just walk in with no appointment needed! And third-the service is great. I have had neck problems from a car accident plus sciatic nerve pain from my lower back. Every chirorpractor I've ever been to listens to my needs and does the same routine despite what I say then sends me on my way. Not Allessandra. She not only listened to me, but she always remembers my problem areas, AND she customized my routine. Then she asks how I'm feeling after the adjustment and treats me more if I'm still having pain. Dear Joint - I've been a subscriber for some time now and the model works until you have a location that isn't planning a staff to flow ratio adequately. The last two times (and intermittently recently) I've been to my local Joint (Eastlake Parkway in Chula Vista, CA) it's been a forecasted wait of 25+ minutes due to waiting new and existing patients. Kudos to the brand and the location owner for growing the volume of business but it's stopping me from being able to utilize the service. Please advise how this bandwidth issue will be fixed. Dr J was AWESOME! I had a lower back injury stemming from weight lifting a few months ago. I just recently started getting spasms down my left leg and the pain was unbearable. I couldn't sit-drive- or pick up my own baby. I was undeniably in the worst pain and kept going back to Kaiser and physical therapy every week. They told me I was starting to get sciatic nerve damage due to the disc Injury from my lower back Needless to say NOTHING worked from Kaiser or physical therapy. It was honestly a WASTE of time. I read things about going to a chiropractor and said there's no way- it would be super expensive and it probably won't work. Ugh. I was already so frustrated with all of my experience through Kaiser and physical therapy I swore I would never get better. I just tried this place today and I INSTANTLY felt the difference after my treatment! It felt like a miracle!!! I have to go back twice a week for a few weeks but I'm definitely going and their plans are so reasonable! It's been a few hours and I still feel amazing...only a few spasms down my leg but NOTHING like it was before. Dr J realigned my hip bone and hit it on the spot! I only waited for about 20 minutes and it was totally worth the wait! I was in my treatment for about 15-20 minutes. Everyone else I watched was in and out in 10 minutes- I thought what the heck?!! That's nothing! But they all walked out with smiles on their faces and now I know why!! They're the only location opened on sundays here in the Eastlake area so that's a huge +!
