Go to Lakewood on Candlewood Blvd. This location is very unprofessional, I came in last weekend to get info because I've been having horrible back pain, I started the paper work and ended walking out, the person behind the counter was very unprofessional and pushy, you can tell some customer waiting we're uncomfortable and not happy. I ended up going to the joint in Lakewood on candle wood where I was greeted and not bombarded with questions and stupid statements. The staff was very nice and explain to me the process the doctors were professional and all. Highly recommend the Lakewood location. Do not waist your time here. read more

The receptionist at this location is the outmost most unprofessional receptionist at any Joint location. She is not fit to be the front image of the Joint and has the poorest of customer service skills. As a receptionist, you have to be welcoming, show empathy, be of service and willing to help a patient at all times. She doesn't. The doctors here are great especially Dr. Himes, but it is a shame that the image you get prior to seeing the doctor is someone that gives off such a bad vibe. On top of that, she gives you wrong information and doesn't abide by the standards of the joint when you are given your free passes as a new member. I had gotten a youth membership for my daughter and after her 4th visit she tried using her pass and the receptionist is told her she couldn't use it with out giving her a clear explanation. If they aren't going to be able to use them, then why even offer them. I highly recommend people to go to the Lakewood location where the receptionist there is absolutely amazing! Always welcoming, always smiling, and super nice. This receptionist needs to get some pointers for her. I live in Downey, but will not hesitate to take the extra drive to q place where I can be granted some optimal customer service. read more

Nice people (doctor & assistant up front), but didn't seem worth mentioning my dissatisfaction since they are obviously pleased with their work. The chiropractors are great. But the reason for my 1 star is for the receptionist, she is so unprofessional: I have been there many times. Every time I go there there's something that she does that is unprofessionally.. like 1. Eating at her desk and the place stinks because of it. 2. Gives attitude not only to me but many clients she speaks like if your bothering and taking her time. 3. On another visit she was yelling at a customer. 4. Another visit she got there late and was sweaty and wearing her shirt inside out with the tag facing out an in front of her. 5. Being in the phone and eating. 6. Disrespecful. 7. Relief at last! For over two years the wonderful doctors at Downey have been able to manage my reoccurring back/sciatic pain from a past car accident I was in. After all the physical therapy + chiro care I was receiving for about 6 months post-accident, I taught my efforts had paid off and I could finally move on from that devastating event that changed my life. About a year after my treatments that's where problems started to pop up. A shooting pain from my right buttocks to the back of my right thigh paralyzed me in pain I could not bare it! My friends suggested The Joint to have a doctor check it out without an appointment. I had nothing to lose and I am always reluctant to make dr appointment cause of my work schedule. So I make it to the office around 5:30 and the front desk handed me the paper work (which was 7 pages! Threw me off but she insisted that it was important for the consultation with the doctor). I was in so much pain I asked if she could help me fill it out and she was more than happy to knock that out for me so I could go to the back! Going to the back the doctor was very nice, read my paper work, and gave me the time to explain my situation. He asked me to lay down to examine my spine. He said my lower back was out of placed and curved and that my legs weren't even so it was causing pressure on my sciatic nerve. His precise adjustment to my back gave me immediate relief and the neck adjustment released a lot of tension that I had on my neck which was a plus! Good bye waking up to a stiff neck! He said I could be sore so to ice it and recommended me a plan to ensure we can work on my pain. Next thing you know I am still coming for my weekly adjustment 2 years later! If someone would of told me that I would be going to that office for the next two years I would of told them I would of rather get a cortisone shot and kept it moving! Now I say that every time I come it's like taking a zip from the fountain of youth! My body felt older two years ago than it did now! I am able to bend down at ease and keep up with my grandson when he comes to visit and we go to the park. Life is good thanks to the doctors at the joint! Big thanks to Dr.Himes and Dr.Brown to have gotten me where I'm at. See you guys soon! read more

This facility clearly doesn't believe in customer service, or have any regards to other people's time. I scheduled a first time consultation visit for myself and my boyfriend. The receptionist stated there were no booked appointment for the day I decided to book and I could choose whatever time frame. She emphasized each patient would take up to 30- 45min because I was a new patient, which was fine. She also advised me to complete paperwork before hand to minimize wait time. I came in to my appointment paperwork ready and waited an hour before deciding to leave and not waste my time. I approached the receptionist and she stated it was their process and they had reoccurring clients come in. And that the other receptionist should have explained. I came in with no one in the waiting room and about 5 people showed up and went before me. The receptionist just kept saying "you'll be seen in 15 min" well that never happened. I'm a very understanding person but their communication and appreciation for new clientele is non existent. Make sure you have 2 hours to spend if you are a new client. read more

You CAN'T pay with cash or check. They insist on using a Credit or Debit card. Why is this? So they can help themselves to an extra 30 days payment if you don't read the fine print and follow the cancellation instructions EXACTLY. It's VERY difficult to cancel without paying an extra 30 days service! Even though I asked up front how to do a 30 day membership and then cancel. The person at the desk gave me bad information, so I would up paying an extra 30 days. read more

Ever since my boyfriend and I had started coming here, Jorge in the office has been extremely nice and helpful. Every time we went in he helped us. We recently cancelled due to moving and lack of time for appointments, but were charged after we cancelled. We went in and Jorge looked the information up and refunded us on the spot and even offered us an appointment since we had to come in. Needless to say, getting a refund is usually difficult and time consuming, but that was not the case here today. Once again, great service and attitude from Jorge. We would return because of the service we received here every time and from everyone. We highly recommend this location. The actually adjustments were also very good and the staff always explained things and gave us insight into our different issues going on with our bodies. Thank you to everyone there. read more

I tried going in today and was refused service because I have a tick where I do a sniffle type movement and sound with my nose. I understand these are challenging times, but to deny me service after I explain to you that I have a tick, and I have no control over it. Their solution for them to be able to see me was to get a doctor's note. I find it ridiculous that I have to make a doctor's appointment so that I can get a signed note that says I have a tick. This is why I will never come to this Joint. The good thing is I called the one in the city of Lakewood, and they had no problem taking me in with my tick. On the side note, I did not have a fever, and I was wearing my mask and still denied service by this office because of my tick. read more
