THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT NEW PATIENTS. I setup an appointment for my fiancé on a Sunday @ 2:30 p.m. She's been dealing with really bad back problems and was hoping this would help. She was in pain going to this place hoping to get some relief. She showed up and the office was closed. It opened @ 2:40 and once in, they kept taking in other walk in patients before her. It was over 50 minutes and still no help. She had to leave over how frustrated she was. Terrible place. Do not go here if you're looking for a chiropractor. It was wonderful, he could pinpoint my back pain and actually helped the pain for the day. He recommended to go a few times a week to get rid of the pain and then to maintain it. Decided to visit based on a recommendation from a friend and hoping for relief for my lower back pain. Came in on a Friday afternoon (July 15th) after signing up for their $29 first visit deal. Dr. Vich was knowledgeable and did a good job explaining his process and what the adjustment technique would entail. My one-star review is based purely on the rude, condescending, and unprofessional receptionist. I did not get her name (unfortunately) but it seems like it's the same person that other reviewers have already identified. She is a heavy-set girl with black hair and tan skin. Too many things to list but she was unprofessional and not friendly and made it an unpleasant experience. Based on her behavior alone I decided not to purchase one of their "packages" for monthly visits. I would rather deal with back pain than have to endure dealing with someone that looked at me like she was going to hit me. She does not like to be asked questions. Side note:What kind of receptionist takes personal phone calls on her cell while at the front desk? Using her work time to gossip with her friends about relationships while patients are waiting in the lobby is really not a good idea. Can't say enough bad things about her customer service. The reviewer who said she would be a better fit as a DMV employee is absolutely spot-on. In fact i've had better customer service at the DMV! read more

A cautionary tale about reoccurring charges. Now, first thing first; the chiropractors are top notch. I came with the most severe pain around this time last year. As a heavy set male who works retail, this place was a god send. After 4 or 5 visits I feeling back to normal, but with back pain it was hard to tell if it was truly gone or not. So I signed up for their 6 month plan. Needless to say after January of this year I figured they totally deserved my six month commit even though I stopped going. They were so good that I referred my mother and in turn she referred my aunt. Now, here is where it starts getting interesting. My mother doesn't like using her debit or credit cards outside of the bank atm and her local Macy's so she gets the receptionist to add her unto my account which has my Amex on file. Yeah, I wasn't present or signed any documentation that stated I approved this, but to be honest, I didn't care much. As she was my mother after all and I was getting a discounted rate on her monthly fee because I referred her. The receptionist did make it very clear that we would have to pay for 6 months of consultations, but she failed to inform me and my mother (again, on my dime without my approval) that after the initial 6 months we would have to come in and sign paper work that stated we no longer wanted to be billed. Well, I was still being charged up until Saturday when I called in to cancel. I questioned their ethics as to why they wouldn't contact me after the first full month of not showing up while paying for my monthly visits. I asked them why they would bother calling or mail a letter stating I was throwing money away and the receptionist couldn't even bother to string any information together. Best she was able to do was state that she would call her manager and see what she could do. 24 hours later and no calls returned. After inquiring again, they stated that they would refund me for my or my mothers consults and could only offer me an x amount of credit for future consults. Why they think I would continue to do business with them is absurd. Hey, and I know what some of you are thinking. It's my fault I should have checked, and you're right. That card was on auto pay and I didn't bother looking into until I was looking for transaction I did last month. TL;DR. I signed up for 6 months. Was never told I had to cancel. Was billed for aprox an extra 7 months. Referred my mother and they added her tab onto my Amex without having sign off any documentation. I was also billed aprox an extra 7 months. The best thing out of all of this? The current receptionist even stated that the previous girl that worked there was known for not informing customers about having to cancel said service. Make it right. Give me the money you took for a service that was never rendered. read more

Over a month ago myself and my fiancé went into The Joint at the Downey Landing and informed the receptionist that we wanted to cancel BOTH of our memberships and informed her that we were very upset that we've continually been charged over $300 since November even though we were told the membership was a 6 month contract(We got the membership in April). We informed the receptionist that we wanted to speak to a manager and she stated that she would let her manager know and they'd be in contact with us within a week. I have yet to receive absolutely any response from the manager. Our visits to the Joint were comfortable but this experience has totally changed my view on the franchise and has caused me to never want to recommend The Joint to anyone. read more

If you are looking for quality chiropractic care, you have found it! Dr. Vich and Dr. Rod are great! I came in sore all over, numb spots in my back, headaches, and a bad neck. After following the chiropractor's recommendation, I feel 100% better! X-rays from my primary care doctor show that my neck has returned to a normal state thanks to The Joint! I really like the fact that they are open 7 days a week, and I never have to make an appointment! I like to get my massage next door at Massage Envy to loosen up the muscles, then head over to The Joint to get my adjustment. The entire place is really clean. They definitely place a priority on cleanliness. The front desk girls are so sweet! Monique seems to be there the most. She always greets me with a warm smile and a great attitude. Both chiropractors here are extremely knowledgeable. I learned a lot from them. For example, I learned that just because I don't feel pain, that doesn't mean I don't need an adjustment (because your nervous system only perceives 10% pain.. who knew?) I also learned that chiropractic helps with all areas of your health. I chose to be on the Wellness Plan... which is $49 a month for 4 adjustments a month. and if i need more adjustments within the same month, i can still come in. its only like $12 for each adjustment after. I almost never have to wait... though I have found early morning is the quickest time. I will be continuing my chiropractic care here for a long time. You guys ROCK! Keep up the good work! read more

Worst experience I've ever had. If I could give zero stars I would. Besides the staff being friendly it was a facade. The chiropractor Daniel was the one who did my adjustment and I feel like he further injured me, this is not just being sore from the adjustment I actually feel like my back is more stiff then it was. I initially thought I was just sore so when he wrote me his prescription he stated I should be there 5x a week so they convinced me in buying the $79 per month package which I now regret. Great place to get your weekly adjustments. I like to come on the days that they have two doctors in and I'm usually in and out within 10 min. I like the flexibility of coming in as needed. You can't beat the price. Most chiropractors offices charge the same for one visit and here I can be seen up to 4 times that month. I have my 2 kids coming here too. I have been having lower back pain for months due to hiking and running a lot and holding a tote bag on one side as part of work. I have been messed up and back stretches and excercise only gave short term relief. This morning I woke up and the dull pain and overall compressed feeling finally broke me down. I went in today and immediately after adjustment the difference was amazing. I expected some relief after one visit but not this much. I still have tenderness but went from 7 out of 10 in pain to a 1 out of 10. The Dr. took the time to listen to my history and issues and made sure I was OK with how they were performing the adjustment. I like the format of The Joint over other private doctors. read more

I have been coming to see Dr. Himes for a couple years now usually on Mon or Thursday. I went in yesterday (sun) and it was very chaotic. Elaine was not there at the desk. She is the best at running the show there!!! I am not sure who the 2 people were, they were running into each other trying to work the desk. No one greeted me, (I can live with that, it was busy). I always see Dr. Himes and if he is not there I see Dr. Kevin. Dr. Kevin schedule has changed to less days. I saw Dr. Del Rio (I think that is his name) on a Friday, it was barely an adjustment. I won't go back to him. I will say, I am glad they finally updated the equipment. It was hard to get adjusted on tables that were torn. I had to remind myself to wear pants so my legs would not get scratched. The over all look is nicer. I am hoping yesterday was just a bad day. read more

Keeping it short and sweet again. Ive had this clavicle joint problem for about two months. Being a skater it didnt help that I just ignored it and played thru the pain. I went in and the initial paper work was not long at all. Took a couple minutes (2). Then another couple minutes to be seen. The visit was pretty spot on, I worked for an orthopaedic office for sometime and everything she said was true. After my visit i would say my pain has gotten extremely better !
