I would have assumed it would have been less personable and more of a general adjustment, but I have to say I felt seen, heard and well taken care of. Dr. Bao did my initial appointment and I was thoroughly impressed. I honestly feel like I am in good hands. She relieved a lot of stiffness and aches I have had over the last few weeks. I got Dr.Small on my 2nd appointment and he too was very thorough and provided relief of any tension from the day in my lower back & neck. So I went in today and waited 30 minutes only to have a new patient who arrived after me get taken back before me. When I questioned the receptionist, she said the doctor made a mistake. I told her to inform the doctor of the error and that I needed to leave. The doctor said he had already taken the patient back and would see her first. How is it that they won't even let you step outside to grab water without losing your place in line, yet the doctor values someone else's time over mine? When the doctor finally approached me, he asked if I wanted an adjustment or not, and if I didn't, I could cancel my membership for all he cared. Well, I did - canceled my membership! read more

I initially was a patient at another chiropractor location under a 6 week treatment plan for a shoulder injury.. after the treatment plan ended I knew I'd need an ongoing wellness plan that was affordable.. the other chiropractor location did not offer a membership plan so I decided to get a membership plan for $69 per month for 1 adjustment per week at The Joint which is the best decision ever! I have been going to my chiropractor for the past year and am now in the maintenance phase; I wanted to find a more affordable option given that I now self-pay. I stumbled upon The Joint While browsing Groupon and figured I'd give them a shot. I called and was able to get an initial appointment after work the very next day. I appreciated Dr. Scott's expertise as he quickly evaluated me and devised a treatment plan to continue my success. His adjustment was gentle yet effective. I was happy to learn that future visits required no appointment and that The Joint is completely up front with their pricing (available on their website and in brochures in person). By purchasing 10 visits up front, visits are only $27 each. That's a $18/visit savings from my former chiropractor! Needless to say, I've made the switch in chiropractors and would highly recommend Dr. Scott at The Joint for anyone self-paying for services. The Joint doesn't accept insurance so if you're going through insurance, this is not the practice for you. read more

The care itself was fine. The problem was in their shady handling of these subscriptions. I had the $79 monthly plan with the o town West location and ended up moving to the other side of town. I called the office to cancel my subscription because it was too far to drive and I really didn't need it anymore. They told me in order to cancel I would have to come in person to this location (not the one 10 minutes from my house) to sign a form. I explained that it was a long trip and with my work schedule and trips out of town coming up that I wouldn't be able to get over there, and asked if they could email it to me to sign. They said no. Ended up draining my FSA account for 3 months before the card started declining them, then they had the nerve to call me every day asking for more money. I eventually spoke with a customer relations rep who tried to get the balance on my account removed but her manager said no. The place is a scam and using shady business tactics to keep people trapped in their subscription. It's a total disgrace. read more

Every time I go in I am greeted by friendly staff and with smiles all around. They offer you water and have comfortable chairs while you wait. Had an appointment set, currently living in 45 minutes away due to currently working in Kissimmee and Company providing living arrangements; Drive all the way to East Orlando the day before to spend time with my parents, only to be told that the "doctor" has to leave early and need to reschedule two hours before appointment. As a professional my schedule is very valuable and my time is extremely scarce, after bouncing around trying to set another schedule, nothing seemed to work, and during the weekday, traffic is a nightmare since Orlando is becoming more and more crowded and we don't have efficient public transportation options in East Orlando. Once again showed up to my appointment 4 days later; unfortunately I was seven minutes late due to very HEAVY traffic and waited over an hour only to be told AGAIN that the memberships walk-ins have precedence and wasted my time again over an hour drive AGAIN (second time this week) only to be told to reschedule again today for Saturday. Fine. No problem, I'll be patient and maybe seeing a chiropractor for the first time would do my lower back pains some good. (injured back in Iraq deployment 2009.) Finally, I have a day off early to prep for incoming Hurricane Dorian that it's not scheduled to hit us until early morning Tuesday, keep in mind it's Saturday and the rest of the world is still working until Monday morning to prepare for the Hurricane. Once again I wasted over 45 minute drive with a little traffic but still a waste of time and fuel to get here only to find out that they decided to close early and not give me a phone call and a courtesy to let me know that my appointment would have to be rescheduled. Completely unprofessional and a joke operation. I'm one of the most easy-going customers and I never look forward to do bad reviews neither do I go out of the way to be rude to people but this is absolutely uncalled for, a MAJOR WASTE OF MY TIME, and UNSAT. Why are they even closed today?? Normal operations would have them close at 4 PM which would give me the entire afternoon and evening, Plus the entire day of Sunday, and if they want to close Monday which would be understandable then to prepare for a hurricane that is drifting North anyway... it's not like we're preparing for a zombie apocalypse or incoming meteor heading straight at us; if you live in Florida, you should be used to this already and have the basic elements ready for the last Hurricane warning.. Smdh ‍ The only reason why I scheduled over here is because I timed it so I would be at my parents home visiting for the weekend during my days off so it's the closest place where I would be plus this is my permanent residence; Kissimmee is only temporary... let's just say I am beyond livid and I am extremely disappointed in this business that does not know how to manage time and new appointments; non do they care that I'm in dire pain and I was looking for an alternative option and drove almost a hour to honor my commitments. If you're looking to become a new member or just do an initial consultation to explore alternative options of healing back injuries; be wary and proceed at your own risk.. The joint is still a great place to get walk in chiropractic care but I have to downgrade them a star based on how I've been treated if I walk in closer to closing time. You may be shamed or coaxed into leaving if you show up even 15-30 minutes prior to closing time, which in my opinion is not okay. And, sometimes it's done with a frustrated negative attitude. The doctors are always professional and welcoming but I cannot say the same about all the receptionists, particularly as it gets near closing time. Any reputable business should either establish a last appointment time or expect to welcome their customers in until closing time, especially since appointments are not available for routine adjustments. As a customer, I really don't want to hear the receptionist on the phone complaining about me being there when it's not even closing time yet. Even when we're tired, hungry and ready to go home, we must maintain our professionalism until every customer has left the building. Some days you may get to walk out the door at closing time. Other days, customers may walk in 10 minutes before closing time, causing you to have to remain in the office a few extra minutes. That's life. read more

The best chiropractic service you could hope for! I'm way too active and need a chiropractor regularly. I spend a lot of time on the go, traveling, folding all 6'6" of me into airplane seats and hotel beds, surfing the biggest waves I can find, skateboarding, sleeping not much and often find my body needs an adjustment. My advanced surfing technique involves a lot of time spent on the ocean floor getting tossed around like a ragdoll. To the untrained eye, it might look like a lot of wipeouts. Whatever, agree to disagree. I've heard it both ways. This style does a number on your neck back and hips and so a good chiropractor is a must when you surf this rad. The doctor at this location is the best I've ever been to. He's adjusted my shoulder and my wrists, even my thumbs, as well as my spine. And when I'm traveling, I can use my prepaid package deal at any of the other Joint Chiropractics. I spotted one next to Whole Foods in Sunset Beach, California. I didn't have my membership card but they still pulled up my account and I used one of my prepaid visits. (It's about $22/visit) Same thing a week or two ago in Georgia and a month ago in New York City. Often when I travel, I need a chiropractor and The Joint is everywhere! read more

I went into the joint after I woke up with my back thrown out to seek help. I had a somewhat pleasant first encounter and signed up for 4 sessions with 3 bonus session for two payments of 70 dollars. After time went on, my back issue subsided and I put the Joint on the back burner. I was then charged over the next 4 months for 70 dollars after going two times. This being a surprise, I decided I need to call The Joint to inquire about the charges and see why I was being charged consecutively after I signed up for a 2 month commitment. I reach out to the joint and am told I need to discuss and type of cancellation or reimbursement with the manager, this makes sense to me. I call back the next 3 days and speak to the manager of the two orlando locations Yvette (which happens to be the same woman who signed me up in February when my back went out). I start the conversation very cordially and respectfully, mentioning that ahe was the one who signed me up and having some pleasant conversations about the weather and such. I proceed to let her know although i enjoyed their service, I had only used it twice and was told I would be obliged to make 2 payments to fulfill that obligation. Upon mentioning I was wishing to seek financial reimbursement for the two extra payments that I was charged egregiously for, Yvette began to scream at me in a demeaning and degrading manner. Totally shocked, I immediately ask for her direct supervisor so that I can file a complaint. She begins to further talk down to me in a manner in which i have never dealt with. I let her know that I work in customer service and that she is being unnecessarily aggressive and ask once again for her supervisor. She gets evasive and tells me that she doesnt have one, that she isnt allowed to give me that information, and that there is nobody to communicate my frustrations with. I proceed to ask for her supervisor and eventually obtain the name of a representative named Kourtney Fwitzer. I tell Yvette that I have never dealt with such disrespect from a business in my entire life and let her know I will be filing a complaint and seeking reimbursement. I then reach out to Kourtney. I havw a great conversation with her full of apologies and concessions that I should not have been treated that way. I am told the owners are a father and daughter who run their business with care and care about their customers and should be receiving an email about resolution. After about a week I reach out to Kourtney again and do not get a response. At this point I didn't want my voice to go unheard and complaint be swept under the rug so i reached out again. She says shes shocked that nobody has reached out and she will be calling the owners again immediately following the phone call we have. Again, I wait and again I have no response. At this point in the story, it has been about 3.5 weeks since my initial conversation with Yvette and I have had nobody help with my complaint. I decide to go into The Joint and file formal cancellation paperwork to ensure that I don't get charged again. Yvette is in the office and she knows who I am, she knows what she did, and she doesn't even take the moment to apologize for her actions. I will not lie, and will mention she did reimburse me for one of the extra charges and I was appreciative of that. But the principal of the situation still was not addressed and I STILL have not had my complaint dealt with. I am a strong believer in customer service and work in the finance industry at a position where customer service is the strongest core value of my job. I will assure you that I am not a dramatic person, I am not the type to throw a fit when things dont go my way, and am not happy that I had to write this post; but i will say that I believe in treating people with respect, and the level of disrespect that i was given is unacceptable. Its been nearly two months and I still am pushing for a formal complaint against Yvette and have still been reaching out to Kourtney and the owners to no avail. I STRONGLY recommend AVOIDING the franchises that Yvette and Kourtney manage because they obviously do not care about the customer and only are looking to make a profit off of people with back issues in need. read more
