Not all chiropractors are created equal and they all seem to use a different technique. I have been to 4 or 5 different locations in OC. I do like Dr. O and Dr. G the best. I would try a few different people making an assessment to see who feels best to you. This place usually does not have a long wait, unlike some other locations. While I was a member, my care team was great -- but my cancellation process was absolutely maddening. I drove AN HOUR on February 13th to the Santa Ana location to cancel my Joint account, signed a form and was told I'm good to go. I left thinking all was well. I just received an attempt to charge my card AGAIN for March and called in to inquire why they were charging me when I already went out of my way to cancel. They told me they "never received an inquiry for cancellation." They then informed me "You're supposed to take the form with you and get a cancellation email when you cancel so that if this happens you have something to back you up." This was NEVER communicated to me during my cancellation visit and I did NOT receive a cancellation email. The front desk staff didn't follow procedure and *I* now have to inconvenience myself and go back AGAIN to cancel AND make sure I have proof? Absolutely ridiculous, unhelpful service and SOP. This has completely soured my experience with The Joint Santa Ana. Today I Called the office so I can get treated for sciatica and was in pain and the Automatic voice system answered and said my name (thinking my name is in the system) no one answered that's okay no worries, I go to the location The Dr greets me and ask for my number, He then tells me my name isn't in the system and he can't get me in bc he has to print papers and I have to sign them and do all that processing but I told the Dr I was a registered member and he then goes to the back and came back to the front desk and tells me he can't get me in because he doesn't know how to receive payments, How does a Doctor not Know how to receive payment?? Such a bad experience! They are not interested in you to heal. I had 2 months treatment here and after 2 months my pain in my hip is back even stronger! I barely can walk and do down in stairs is so much painful! When I got here and wanted to talk to doctor is I should repeat my treatment or I need something else - of course they want me to pay $45 so i left. Doctor Dana used to be here during the week and she was amazing. However, their new chiro Monday to Thursday is a complete waste of time. He does zero adjustments and will semi madsage your neck for ten minutes. He somehow did not understand the assignment. This place is now a complete waste of your time. Came here once with my wife since she strongly recommended me to see a chiropractic doctor for my posture, and the experience's been very pleasant. Front desk staff is very professional and welcoming, and the doctor went through everything with me in detail, and answered all my questions with great patience. And as a doctor, since after the evaluation he truly believes there's no need for me to get chiropractic therapy sessions at all, they didn't even charge for my visit. This review is for Dr. Argerich. My usual location was closed, so I drove over to the Santa Ana location. After one visit, I decided to continue visiting Dr. Argerich despite the longer commute. He is very thorough with his work and listens to his patients concerns. I have been to 5+ locations and many chiropractors rush you (granted, I understand they have many clients) but Dr. Argerich takes his time and will even help me stretch when my muscles are sore. Hello good morning!!! Do not go here!!! They do not disclose that if your new patient, depending on the doctor you will need to have reoccurring plan!! I wasn't told this, until I got there!! Had I known that the first time patient need to set up a reoccurring plan I wouldn't have scheduled with you guys!! They didn't tell me this until the day of my appointment. Why should I trust you guys in saying that I need a treatment plan, why should I trust you guys! I just wanted one adjustment that is all, witch you guys agreed when making the appointment then I get there and they receptionist is like ooo the doctor that your gonna see, doesn't just see you one time, he has to see you again if he puts you on treatment plan!! But why should I trust you, and who are you guys to say I need a treatment plan, how do I know that your not just trying to get money. If your "doctor" is not going to see one time patience once, then you guys need to disclose that when making the appointment, not when I get there!! You waisted my time!!! I was on my lunch break, and I didn't appreciate being told this the day of my appointment. They do not confirm appointments, you have verify with them, and they do no disclose certain things until you get there!! I took a short term position in Long Beach and they have a Joint Chiropractic and I have visited there the past couple of months. I have been seeing Dr. Andy Ly and he does a limbering up of the muscles before he completes the adjustment. It really helps a great deal to get the whole body back in alignment. Wanted to take a few minutes and review THE JOINT CHIROPRACTIC; working on my second month of membership Dr.Brandon Antonissen has been working with me on my back,neck,and ankle issues. I've been pain free, I played a lot if basketball when I was younger and have been suffering from my ankle pain for years. To the point where I don't sleep from the pain especially from ankle pain on cold days. Well as of late I have had no ankle pain I'm super happy. My husband and I came last weekend to take advantage of the $29 new patient special. We are new to chiropractic and each have some health/physical issues we thought maybe this could help with. We each had a consultation/exam and adjustment with Dr Stephen Cates. I really liked him- he was professional and friendly. And I felt great after my adjustment! He gave us each suggested treatment plans (which were different by the way since we each had different issues going on - I was happy to see this was not a blanket one-size-fits-all approach!!). Kimberly at the front desk gave us information/ pricing on the monthly wellness plan and available session packages. I returned 2 days later and signed up for the monthly wellness plan. Dr Vettes did my adjustment that day & he was wonderful as well. My husband is going back next week and will sign up for a plan also. I have seen plenty of chiropractors and Dr. Cates is by far the best. My spine is difficult to successfully adjust for most chiropractors because I have scoliosis and have had spinal surgery. A lot of my visits to other chiropractors would result in unsuccessful adjustments so I leave still feeling pain. I came in to see Dr. Cates for the first time expecting the same experience but the moment I laid down, he popped my back with the tap of his hand and I was shook. He was able to adjust parts of my spine that others have not been able to for the past few months and he made it seem easy. I'm a first time person coming here and she said that the system was down and couldn't do anything about it. Is there seriously no paper form? Charles Vettes is hands down the worst chiropractor I have ever been to, and I have seen over a dozen different ones. I went in with a slightly stiff neck, and Charles proceed to VIOLENTLY twist my neck in a manner I've never experienced before. He even said "I wasn't able to get any snaps, crackles, or pops without ripping your head off." ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? My neck is 3x stiffer and hurts a LOT more. Charles Vettes shouldn't be allowed to see or touch any patients ever again. You better believe I lodged a complaint with my home office and The Joint corporate office. read more

I would always pass by The Joint and never thought of trying it out. A few customers from work told me about this place and I was having a pinch in my lower back. I went to my usual chiropractor and it seemed like he made the pain worse. Decided to try out The Joint and I'm so glad I did! The main doctor Stephen Cates is so great! He takes the time to check down my spine and see where I actually need to be adjusted. He also does pressure points which helps a lot for loosening up my muscles since I workout often throughout the week. My pinched nerve has gotten so much better and their membership plans are very reasonable. $69 per month for 4 adjustments and every adjustment after that is only $10, that isn't bad at all! read more
