Dr. Matt (who has been practicing for 25 years) is a Palmer Chiropractic graduate. Palmer is located in Iowa and is known for producing high quality practitioners. Dr. Matt uses both table and physical adjustments. Because my entire body was injured in an assault from drunk teens at a Walgreens, he treats my entire body (not just the part that is hurting). Speed a few years ahead and I am nearly 100% healed (I had a couple of trip and falls after my first visit). Now whenever I have any issues, I see Dr. Matt first before I try anything else. Dr. Matt also sees my entire family. He has an affordable family care package for a family like ours. We have insurance, but unfortunately, the insurance does not cover chiropractic care. Dr. Matt has a monthly wellness plan for a nominal monthly amount for two health adjustments per month. The family package is shareable within my family so if more than 2 visits are required, we can draw from the family package. (His package deal is at least 1/2 the costs of other local chiropractors so our family can afford his care). I can't submit this review without mentioning Dr. Matt's staff. His office manager is Stacy, and we have to say she is most likely the kindest person walking this earth. Stacy makes every single patient feel welcome and at ease, takes time to listen to each person who enters this practice and to answer any questions. She is never too busy to connect with each patient. Crystal is the other staff that works part time and she is also lovely. Crystal was the first person I met at Dr. Matt's business. She even stood out in front of the building to help me find the office on my first visit. Kind and compassionate staff. Bonuses: Dr. Matt treats all ages - from babies and young children to adults. Additionally, Dr. Matt doesn't gaslight you and tell you that you are crazy for having pain. It isn't instant relief and there is a process to go through for chiropractic care, but it REALLY WORKS. If you are looking for relief from pain from an injury, Dr. Matt is the way to go. I highly recommend University Place Chiropractic.

I see Keena for chiropractic adjustments, Maria for nutrition and Toni for massage. I had been going through long term stomach pain and after having visted many doctors and underwent multiple exploratory procedures nothing had been found. I had a free (during patient day) visit with Maria who suggested I try certain supplements and adjust my diet to eliminate foods that I showed a sensitivity to. After a couple weeks I was relieved of the pain, and now it only comes back when I am not eating what I should. Wish I would have started here! Keena has been great for the adjustments with the scoliosis I have in my lower back. Using the activator she also adjust sinuses and other things I've never had done before. Overall I feel they are unique in their methods, current and knowledgeable. Oh and to top it off they are always very friendly, and caring :).

I trusted that I would get the same care that I give to my massage clients...........I was wrong........... A heavy-set man with beard to his waist told me that he was my massage therapist. I couldn't back out of it, so I just went with it. He just worked on the back of my legs and arms with plastic ball. He asked what the pain was between 1 - 10. I screamed that it was 8 and he laughed. Then he put heating pads on my thighs and that felt good. It only lasted about 10 minutes. Then the torture was back. He put big ice packs on my thighs. I screamed and told him that I didn't like that, and he just laughed. He told me that he saw 8 clients for a massage per day. He torcher 8 people? Bad Karma. I felt sorry for him. And not enough to leave him a tip. And when I got home there was a rash under my arm. Nothing else helped except "prednizone" cream. I healed it. If I would treat my clients at the Phoenix Healing Arts massage like that, they wouldn't come back. We have to treat others with love and respect, because it creates good energy and comes back to us as a good Karma.
