I've been a massage therapist for over 23 years and I have been going to The Joint Chiropractic for 3 years to help keep my body in alignment. I have always been able to get adjusted the time that I come in or l'lI iust come back at a later time or different day and have not had to wait for very long. They are open 7 days a week usually and that is 2 days more than any other chiropractor so that gives me ample time to get my 4 sessions in for the month which is so necessary for me to stay active as a massage therapist and in my daily life. The membership is extremely reasonable. Even if you go 2 times the membership pays for itself, because most places charge $55 and up for just one session. You get 4 sessions a month for $89 The adjustment is just around 3-5 minutes max so l'm usually in and out within 10-15 minutes unless there are a lot of people. I usually go on my break or during the day so I realize not everyone can do that during the week but Saturday and Sunday should work for anyone who's not able to go during the week. The plus side is you can go to other locations if you're traveling to another city. Dr. Joseph at the Valencia location has been a God send! He is also at the Porter Ranch location as well! Back in November, I came in with pretty bad pain in my hip... I was assessed and sold a treatment package for around $400, the plan was 2 sessions a week for a month, then once a week for another month. Now that it's April and 5 months have passed, I have only been able to use 1 of those sessions. Every time l've come in (or attempted to come in) there's a sign on the door stating there's no chiropractor that day, or it's over an hour wait, or the receptionist says to come back later and when I do, there are so many people waiting and so few chiropractors that there literally isn't enough time in the day to be seen and I'm turned away. The only time I was actually seen, I spent over an hour in the waiting room due to their lack of staff because they rarely have more than 1 chiropractor in the office at a time. The "no appointment necessary" business model sounds great and is a good selling point, but when there is only one (or no) chiropractor on staff, that equates to such a long wait that l literally can't do it. I am an adult with a job and I am raising young children, I am an extremely busy person who cannot afford to waste several hours a week sitting in a waiting room in the hopes that I'll finally be seen this time. This experience combined with the news story about the predator who films people in their restroom (google it) had soured the relationship to the point where I decided I was done, enough was enough. When I requested a refund, I was told by the receptionist to "email my boss" which I have done countless times over the past month. HUGE SHOCK, I never got a response to any of my emails. I have called trying to reach someone who can remedy the situation and have even gone in person looking for someone who can take some accountability with absolutely no success, there is never anyone there who can do anything about it. I feel like this business is a complete scam as they sold a service which basically doesn't exist. They make people wait so long they're forced to use their restroom where they are recorded and the footage is likely posted on the internet somewhere. All I was asking for was a refund for the unused sessions I purchased months ago that I am literally unable to use, and they don't even have the decency to respond with any attempt to right the situation... they don't respond at all. I would love to leave a great review because I love the chiropractors there but they are always closed. A few times I went in an hour before closing and they said they were full even though there was barely any people in the waiting area. I thought this is supposed to be a walk in place for people who want to have the convenience of coming in after work or after being busy all day. Most of the chiropractors are great. This is a no frills adjustment. If you want heat, massage, stim and then adjustment this is not the place for you. If you want your back adjusted regularly on the cheap, this is your jam. read more

Do you dislike to have your time wasted? I waited 40 minutes before I had to get up and leave. The Joint is a walk in clinic but apparently this Joint office is different. This Joint office takes appointments, so you have a combination of walk ins and appointments. And guess who gets priority? The people who do appointments regardless of how long you have been waiting. They open at 10am but if you go at that time don't expect to be let in. Their chiropractors are never there on time so they turn customers away by putting up a sign. It's very bad business practice to say you open at 10 am, have customers drive(sometimes long distances) just to be turned away because the chiropractors refuse to show up at open. The customer service at this establishment is a zero, took my grandmother in for a one time visit due to sciatica, while we were leaving she was still feeling pain as we checked out they were trying to upsell their plans we said no not right now. We didn't have time to sign paperwork as she was in pain, we paid for the one time visit and now two months later she's getting multiple charges for a plan she never signed up for. Called to cancel and you have to fill out paperwork, there is no manager to speak to, no phone number to reach said manager, all you can do is email and maybe get a response back from the said "manager" trying to go in to even speak to the manager is a scam also "we don't have the specific dates the manager will be here" we were told, is no one managing this establishment? What worse is they're stating she signed paperwork she never signed, having multiple family members with us at the time of appointment we know she never signed that paperwork as she was in pain at the time of exiting she wouldn't even been able to stand there to sign MORE paperwork. All we can do it send in the cancellation paperwork and HOPE that's enough, seeing as multiple other people are saying they continue to charge them regardless of the paperwork they send in and even trying to call corporate is a joke they don't get back to you the customer service is absolutely ridiculous will not be coming back to or supporting any of "The Joints" take your business elsewhere you might think you're saving more money here but they scam you out of more anyways. read more

I've been going to The Joint pretty much since they opened. It's always a good idea to get an adjustment, especially if you have an active lifestyle. The Joint does strictly adjustment and no PT. All the docs are great and very knowledgeable. Dr. V just recently adjusted me after a little neck mishap in my jiu jitsu class where a rib popped out and it caused something in my neck to get misaligned. He got it allll back in place! I've been to a few different The Joint locations and have had mostly positive encounters; however, my best visits have been at their Valencia location. The first time I came here a few months ago, the receptionists were extremely friendly, patient, and helpful as I explained that I'd like to cancel the monthly plan since I wasn't using it nearly enough. The Joint has this thing where you have to go to the location you signed up at to cancel, but the receptionist in Valencia was very helpful with getting the paperwork done and sending it to the Long Beach location that I had signed up at for me. Sure enough, plan canceled without issues. As for the treatments, I've had some minor back issues lately and both docs who have treated me have worked some magical relief into my joints and muscles. Pain has subsided within hours, and been pleasant for a while when I've followed the doctor's advice. Definitely an easy, quick fix when I can't get into a longer chiropractor office visit. read more

Have been disputing charges with this company that i did not authorize two months in a row now, and they continue to keep charging me even after i filled out a cancellation and asked to be done with them. when i first signed up, the company "accidentally" charged me 6 times and i also had to dispute those. I contacted them for assistance and the last message they sent was "We apologize for any inconvenience. My wife and I started using The Joint when we still lived in the San Fernando Valley, and I've honestly found having a revolving door of different chiropractors a little annoying. The Porter Ranch location is pretty consistent, but the guy there is a little light on the adjustments for me personally. But at least he's consistently there. We moved to Santa Clarita and for a long while it seemed like the Valencia location had trouble keeping any kind of consistency. To the point where they would just randomly be closed during posted business hours without any kind of notice other than a note on the door. Several times, we've driven 20ish minutes just to get there and find they were closed. Then even if they were open, it was always a different chiropractor and it never felt like you would get any kind of personalized care because it was the first time you've ever seen this person. To their credit, they seem to have found someone who is there pretty consistently the last few months. His adjustments are a little hard, and it works really well for me, but my wife thinks it's a little too hard. He does regularly ask if he needs to change anything, and she did ask him to back off a little, and she hasn't complained about the strength of the adjustments since. But the way this place runs their office is just horrible. I called them at about 12:20 this afternoon to make sure they were open. My wife wanted to go in and get adjusted, she's needed it for a few days and finally had time to go. I was told that they were open and that the Dr. was going to lunch from 1:30-2:15 today. Sure, no problem. My wife left and got there about 20 minutes later at about 12:45. She just called me furious because they told her that they weren't seeing anymore patients before lunch time and to come back at 2:30???? Like I literally just called and was told she could get there any time before 1:30. She drove down there from canyon country and was turned away. I don't get it. They really have to figure out how to run this office. It's the worst. More often than not, we end up not getting an adjustment because they're randomly closed, or some BS like this happens. I prepaid with my atm card for 5 visits only!!! Because I live in Lancaster it's way too far for me. I still have (1) visit that I already paid for. These S.O.B'S went and charged my atm card another $89 without my knowledge. I did NOT authorize this and would NOT recommend this place. The last visit the stupid lady wouldn't even crack my back and all she did was pinch my back. This really angered me because I drove all the way there to attempt to get out of pain. Very happy. I wasn't sure about the quality I'd get when I first went here about 6-8 months ago. I've been going 3-4 times per month and feel better than I have in a long time. My job beats up my body but they get me back in alignment. Dr Darling has been especially helpful as over time she knows just what gets out of whack and provides great adjustments. I feel the relief right away and always drive away thinking, wow that's what it feels like to be in alignment. I like old school hands as tools Chiro, not gadgets, and she just uses the tools God have her. Highly recommend. read more

I just want to give a heads up that I love the joint 5/5 but my last visit really ticked me off I went in warning the doctor I had a new ear piercing that's still healing so please please be careful. She understands and proceeds to adjust my back a bit , then up to my neck, with little to no regard of her hand placement, snags my ear a bit, I brush it off whatever, small mistake... I move my hair so she has a clearer view and she full on grips my head, one hand fully on my ear and fastly cracks my neck. My ear was smushed so tight I started to bleed! It hurt so bad and I was in so much shock I just held my ear for a minute , I didn't want to make a scene... she grabbed me a piece of gauze to clean myself, but she wasn't overly apologetic or anything. LIKE I GAVE YOU A WARNING AND YOU JUST INJURED ME. She says, next time put your hair up so it doesn't tug, okay agreed, but my hair isn't the reason I started to bleed. She pressed on my ear and I bled on the inside, not the outside . I know she was kind of covering her a** . I should've said something when I was there, but I wanted to spare her the embarrassment and I was so shocked. read more

Decided to stop in since my go-to chiro wasn't open. The receptionist Kristina was super nice and got me checked in quickly and the adjustment from Dr. Erickson was really good too...Unfortunately, the place smelled HORRIBLE. I actually felt really bad mentioning it, but I am really sensitive to odors and it smelled like a sewer line or water that had been sitting too long. I mentioned it to the staff and they apologized as it was a known issue from a sewer line issue next door. I really hope that corporate or the owner steps up to the plate to fix this, the employees really shouldn't have to work in those conditions. I was in desperate need of an adjustment and i loved that they had same day appointments and an introductory first time visit price. My visit was good and i had an excellent discussion with the chiropractor i was assigned to. We went over my issue and her plan of treatment. I did leave feeling better than when I walked in. The let down is that they do not accept insurance and their packages were too high to pay out of pocket. Being locked into a minimum several months plan was not ideal in my case as i have insurance that covers chiropractic visits, again which they do not accept. If you're a cash customer and you want to be locked into a contract for the package prices, this might be better suited for you. read more

From Florida and visiting. . . Woke up with some terrible neck and lower back pain. I am seen at The Joint close to my home and always find relief when I come in. . . Honestly, today was a waste of time. The doctor asked where I was experiencing pain and did practically nothing to alleviate this. I got a 20 second neck massage and it appeared the doctor was trying to adjust me, but was unable to get the job done. I am very flexible, so most practitioners have to work a bit to get my alignment corrected. It didn't seem like the practitioner was interested. After about 2 minutes, he said, "Have a good day," and turned around to start documenting. Absolutely a waste of time. Not pleased and still in quite a bit of pain. Absolutely pointless. read more

Dr V is the best chiropractor I have ever seen. I live in Ventura and will come to Valencia for treatment. He addresses all of your concerns during your session and remembers what issues you were having during your follow ups. He has also taken time to teach me how to properly wrap my foot after a sports injury. I leave feeling so much better than when I walked in. read more
