Not only was it not professional but not warranted. I advise that the older lady needs to watch some training videos on "how to talk to people." The man checked me in and she yelled at me while I was patiently waiting, to come back to the desk and she didn't ask me nicely. AVOID THIS PLACE! This place is a SCAM that preys on the ignorant. They advertise $29 first visit adjustment. My usual chiro was closed, The Joint is close to my home so I gave them a try. I had severe lower back pain as well as pain shooting down my right leg. The "Dr" was nice and the facility was clean. He proceeded to do some half assed poking around my upper back and neck, no adjustment effort to the lower back our hip area at all. He told me to walk around to see how it felt, of course there was no difference in pain level. He then said there was nothing more he could do but recommended 13 more visits but would give me 3 visits for free. At that point I realized their hustle. The scam was further confirmed when I said I would let them know the following day if I would proceed with the recommended visits. They responded with "if you don't decide right now we can't give you the 3 visits for free", the ultimate red flag, yes, sales pressure at the chiropractor. Disgusting. The worst part is I had to spend another day in severe pain not even able to tie my shoes. Of course I went back to Pure Wellness that next morning and after an actual 10 minute adjustment I feel 100% better. Don't be a sucker and fall for the $29 visit. read more

I have been a long time patient of the Joints for about 10 years. I started going to Glendale and when I moved to Santa Clarita and found this location I've been coming here for maybe 4+ years. Today was an utter disappointment with the receptionist she was not friendly and seemed like she didn't want to be there today. She told me it was going to be a 20 min wait which is fine with me but she FAILED TO INFORM ME at the time that I walked in that the Dr was with a new patient and that they have another new patient before me. As I waited 25 mins to be seen she is sitting and playing on her phone the entire time and no apologies for waiting. However durring that time she could have informed me that their is another new patient ahead of me which I could have made the decision at that time to either stay or leave. Keep in mind that the Dr they have on Sunday's I really love and he gets 5+ stars because he's very good. He is the one that told me they had one more new patient before me and that it would be an additional 20-45 mins before I could be seen NOT YOUR RECEPTIONIST where I told them since I'm now going to be here at least an hour and to take my name out of the que. I understand they get busy I understand they get new patients but my problem is the fact that I was not I formed by the receptionist. I called after I left to see when I could speak with a manager she promptly informed me with an attitude the entire phone call "I DON'T KNOW WHEN MY MANAGER WILL BE IN NEXT. AND THAT I CAN TAKE YIUR NUMBER DOWN AND GIVE IT TO THEM THE NEXT TIME THEY COME IN." I received no apologies. It makes me not want to go back to this location with a Dr I truly like and that's very close to my home. I guess I'll be calling everyday until the manager comes in to speak with them. read more

Dr Vanderhyde is excellent! I have been to him before, he is always able to diagnose and treat my symptoms. His adjustments are very effective, it usually takes a day to feel the full benefit, but my body is much more flexible and in less discomfort than when I went in. Recently moved away from my chiropractor of three years and needed an adjustment. Dr. Fish is awesome. It isn't a place you go for a mini spa session (ultrasound, hot pads etc) but definitely does the job. I've had various issues throughout the years and recently was in an accident that injured my neck. Came in with a stiff neck, and nerve pain down my arm - almost no mobility, after one visit I saw a difference. I've been going to him for about 8 weeks now and couldn't be happier. One thing I have learned is everyone heals differently - I ask him when he wants to see me next and as long as I stay on regiment, I seem to feel better and sleep better. read more

I admire the franchises up-front & honest expectations that they establish right from the start. They don't accept insurance, which eliminates any billing headaches & their prices are beyond affordable...even more so than MOST insurance co-pays! They have numerous payment plans, which again is in plain sight for all patients to choose with no scare tactics. The plan I chose is $69 a month which includes 4 adjustments per month which equals $17.25 per adjustment....you simply can't find those rates even with insurance these days! Another bonus is if you go over the 4 visits, any additional visits within that month is only $10! (WOW) I was greeted by Lyn who I had scheduled boyfriend and I's appointments with on the phone and she was greeted us by name when we walked in. VIP Service! She made me feel welcome & comfortable right away. Dr. Fish did a consultation and palpated my spine to see what was going on. He was very thorough and addressed all my concerns with patience and an awesome bedside manner. His adjustment was outstanding and he made sure to concentrate on my main areas of complaint throughout my adjustment, always checking to see how I felt. I had to update my review. Even though everyone wears masks the place smells like cigarettes. Also there's a middle aged woman who talks way too loud on the phone in the back office. Really unprofessional. And the doctor with her dog is really rough on my back. She used this wooden thing instead of adjusting the back with her hands. I came to her 3-4 times and my back was in so much pain. I haven't had this type of pain in years. That's why I canceled my membership. The reason why I gave this place 3 stars i stead of 1 is because Dr. Janji should be there full time instead of the female doctor that's there. He's gentle and uses his hands to adjust. Dr. Fish is a magical man. I went in today for my first chiropractic adjustment ever, and was very nervous about it. I had been suffering from lower back pain, sciatica issues, stiffness, and limited mobility on my right side, including not being able to turn my neck all the way. He felt around a bit, asked some questions and knew exactly what to do. With a few snaps and cracks, I'm standing up straight, no lower back pain, and he took the headache away that I woke up with this morning on the right side. I feel like a brand new person; I could cry. I should also add that Lyn is wonderful! She makes you feel so comfortable and she was so fun to talk to while I waited. My boyfriend and I went in for our first visit and in the first few seconds of my consultation my boyfriend was standing which he does because it much more comfortable than sitting for him and Dr. fish blatantly said "sit down you're bugging me" keep in mind my boyfriend was standing about 6-8 feet away from the doc and myself and in no way in the way. He was horribly rude. He also seemed to just speed right through my boyfriends adjustment and at one point only adjust one side of his body before abruptly ending the session. I came from the Bay Area last fall leaving behind my chiropractor of approximately 30 years who took care of me through horse injuries and car accident. It was a definite hands on chiropractor and I was sorry to lose him. I have been to 3 chiropractors down here including this one and no relief and this office uses those metal activators that pushes on the joints which is painful plus the table is not a table that elevates or tilts so it was difficult to get down that low and even harder to get up especially with the increased pain from the adjustment. I decided not to go back and they had charged me over $200 after trying to sell me a package of $29 a visit for a trial period. Since I wasn't going back I asked for a refund. No call, no refund, nothing. Waited a week and left another message saying that even returning 1/2 would be ok. Still no response I don't know why they are not doing that but new patients beware !! They will take your money and if you were not happy, oh well, they just keep your money! I am a senior on disability and not getting that money back makes harder to pay me electric bill. read more

Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Starting with my 1st appointment, the front desk told me to come back the next day at 10am because there was a long wait. The next day I showed up at 10:30am and the place was closed. I waited in my car until 11am but the place didn't open. On their site, it said that they were open but they weren't. I called the office but no one answered, instead I got an auto text saying "We're sorry that we missed your call. For the fastest response please reply to this text and we'll respond shortly. -The Joint Chiropractic Reply STOP to quit" I text them back to let me know when they will open, but never got text or a call back. Since then I have called them a few times but no one ever answer at the front desk, instead I get the same auto text. And on another note, why don't they take appointments? Is this a nail salon or a chiropractic office? I've never heard of a walk-in chiropractic office. Therefore, I'll never be "their client" even though I tried to be one. read more

Dr. Fish is amazing! I've been experiencing lower back pain for about 9 months and after my first adjustment my pain has subsided. He's very knowledgeable, professional and kind. Went in for my FIRST chiropractic session and was extremely nervous about it. First impressions Lynn, AMAZING! She makes u feel so welcomed and calm by just explaining to you how they work. She stays engaged and really makes u feel cared for. Dr. Fish.... wow! Hands down the real deal! He asked questions, checked reflexes and felt the areas of pain that I described. Afterwards, he got down to the snap, crackle and pop .... dude it felt good and it was just what my neck, back and shoulders needed. Got up and was able to feel and see instant mobility in my neck...
