I came to Dr. Chang after I left a different local chiropractor in more pain than I arrived. My previous guy had become a real meat market; adjusting people so fast and carelessly that my last adjustment left my hip and entire right side out of alignment. By the time I found Dr. Chang, I had my hips out, two ribs out and I had pain breathing when in the supine position (lying down). I had to sleep sitting in an upright position. Initially I was reluctant to return to any chiropractor, I was hurt so bad by the last one. But I was in so much pain I finally searched out a few places in the area. There was a review on Yelp that said Dr. Chang did imaging before his adjustments, and as an RN, that impressed me. I liked that he would actually look at my spine before he manipulated it to ensure there were no serious issues. This and all the positive reviews on Yelp told me he was the one I should see. When I called the office, Emily was extremely helpful and got me in quickly. I came to the office and Dr. Chang sat down with me, did an initial consult, took some X-rays and did a gentle adjustment. I was really relieved at how gentle he was as opposed to my last chiropractor. This is the way a real health care professional takes care of patients . After 2 1/2 weeks of agonizing lower back pain, and Kaiser only giving me pills, Dr. Chang was able to diagnose my ailment within minutes. In one visit he was able to manipulate my SI joint back into place and only 3 days later I'm 90% pain free. He suggested some stretches and exercises, along with me being able to research SI joint strengthening movements, I can sit, walk, get up from a chair with almost no pain. Kaiser would only suggest a physical therapy appointment that was 3 weeks out and I don't know how I would've been able to wait that long and who knows if they would've diagnosed the issue properly. One of the best things the VA ever did for me as a vet was refer me for community care at the Pure Wellness Center. I've had two microdiscectomies for my lower back. The symptoms radiate from the lower region all the way up to my neck. I have back and knee issues from past 5/6 years because of playing tennis, I visited too many doctors in India as well as in US . But I could never found any solution. I almost decided to stop playing my favorite game. Dr. David is good tennis player, luckily I met him while playing once. In one conversation I explained my back and knees issues to Dr.David. I was in a horrible car accident at the beginning of summer and was referred to Pure Wellness Center as my point of treatment and I'm super happy with that choice. Today was my last day of treatment and in just a little over to months my extreme lower back pain, shoulder/neck pain have all been treated and subsided. Bitter sweet leaving on my last visit as Dr. Chang restored me back to my old self of weightlifting, playing with my dogs, and going out with my wife which is great but means I wouldn't be seeing him and his staff anymore. This review is strictly based on my experience with their massage services. It is a little hard to write for me because I am a bit torn after my experience. I found a coupon on Amazon Local for a 50-minute massage for just $29. It was a great deal. But as I later found out, it would be a ridiculous challenge to actually redeem the voucher. This is the second time I've purchased something from Amazon Local and had challenges with redeeming it so perhaps there is a common theme there, but I really don't think that was relevant in this case and I'll tell you why. To make a long story short, it took me about 4 months to redeem the massage. I understand the main focus of the business is not for massages, but for chiropractic therapy. However, their business hours are absurd. Every day they close for 3 hours for lunch so when you call, no one answers. That was extremely frustrating. It seemed like every time I called, they were closed for lunch. They only have 1 massage therapist on staff and she is not certified to massage pregnant women so my wife couldn't redeem her voucher. To their credit, they (specifically, Brittany) verbally said we could use it after its expiration date, which would pass before my wife gave birth. We will see later if that holds true. In addition, the massage therapist is only there 3 days per week, which also makes it even more difficult to schedule an appointment. Once you finally get someone on the phone when they're not eating lunch, you have very few appointment times to choose from. So, after months of deliberating and attempted scheduling, I finally managed to schedule an appointment. Then the day before, they called and canceled it because the massage therapist was sick. Hey, everybody gets sick so I understand. But I wasn't able to reschedule for another 2 weeks later! So after months of waiting, I had to wait another couple weeks. The troubling part about this review is that when I finally came in for the massage, I actually had a pretty good experience. The massage therapist was very professional, she did a good job on me. I had some bad muscle strains and she went to town on them. At times it was painful but I know I needed it. Prior to visiting, I was prepared to write a seething, one star review about all the hassles and annoyances I experienced with the hours and scheduling. But while I was there, it wasn't terrible so I'd like to give it 2.5 stars. All this being said, I'll probably try a different place for my next massage. read more

For about two months I had been suffering from severe pinched nerve in my neck with pain shooting all the way down to my fingers. I tried acupuncture, therapy and other methods that did not help. I was skeptic about seeing a chiropractor, when I first visited Dr. Chang, I walked in with pain level 10 and immediately after the first adjustment, I felt some relief, pain level was about 8. He also recommended some exercises that little by little started to give me back some comfort, movement and able to sleep. I have mixed feelings about this place. On the one hand, the staff was friendly, the place was quiet and clean, and prompt. Scheduling was easy. On the other hand, the massage was okay. Not fantastic, not bad. Just okay. I got a deal via Amazon Local so I wasn't upset at that price point. On the way out they offer a promotion to purchase another massage at a discounted price. This may be off-putting to some folks. And I wasn't in love with the massage enough to want to jump right in for another. Maybe I'll try again, see how I feel. I can walk again!!! OK, maybe that's a little dramatic. I could always walk, but at least it doesn't hurt now! Dr. Dave & Dr. Dan are just incredible. It's some sort of sorcery or magic that they know the EXACT spots I'm having issues at, and CRRACCKKK! POP! CRACK! The pain is gone! I'm finally feeling like a normal person again.
