I was in town for just one night and stumbled upon the open mic here. I wasn't sure what to expect--open mics can be hit or miss--but I'm so glad I went. There were at least 24 performers, each getting five minutes to share their comedy, and the energy in the room was so supportive. Some were genuinely hilarious, while others were just starting out, but that mix made the night even more fun. The crowd was engaged, the service was friendly, and they serve coffee and drinks, which was a nice touch. If you're looking for a laid-back, entertaining night, this is definitely worth checking out! Oh and there was $5 cover charges. read more

Driving through from Houston to Nashville and stopped in before day 2 of our trip. Barista was super friendly. My family used to be regulars at the Ferrell's theater in Houston. He allowed me to roam around and take pictures to send to my parents. Ordered a iced Hazelnut latte and it was great. Super cool spot, board games to use, just really home-y and comfortable. Our family will definitely have to make a point to catch a show here, as we miss them in Houston. Nails ARE glue! read more

The little coffee, wine, beer entertainment bar is pretty darn cool. They have bands and a large seating area as part of the coffee bar. With beer on tap, wine and coffee it is a place for all tastes. The girls that were there were very sweet and answered questions about the coffee as well as wine and were really helpful. This is a great place for anytime of the day and it appears evening with the entertainment. It is a great little place!!! I recommend strongly! read more

This place was extremely entertaining! I came to Little Rock with a friend for a quick vacay and used yelp to help us find some cool things to do and this place popped up. It is on the northside which is a hip little area with cool string lights all down the block. The show started at 8, but we showed up a little late and it wasn't awkward at all to come in and find a seat. We went on a Wednesday night which happened to be their improv night and it was pretty hilarious. I felt like I was on the set of "Whose Line is it Anyway" as the crowd yelled out ideas for their group to improv to. The cast was funny without being too crude, which we liked. The audience was a good group of young hipster types and older adults enjoying a night out. The crowds remarks and ideas were funny and enjoyable. The really cool thing about this place is that it has a bar and coffee shop inside where you can purchase an assortment of drinks before you head into the show (or if you don't have cash like me, they can give it to you at the register when you order a drink). They also have a small side patio and an old video game station which shows what a cool atmosphere this place has. We enjoyed this place a lot, especially for $8. read more

Whoa, this place is cool! Great selection of coffee and other like-drinks, even beer. The seating area is pretty cool too - there are classic Cafe tables scattered throughout (including a small side patio outside), and some cushier lounge chairs right in the window. They even have a classic Arcade machine dead-center that runs of quarters, with a wide selection of games of the Galaga/Invaders/Pac Man era. That's a nice touch :) The cold-brewed coffee I had as a pre-beer-fest pick-me-up was an icy, brown cup of pure adrenaline and kept me going strong through the entire festival and an hour long late-night hike (just for kicks). Impressive stuff! I was led to believe it was small, and it is, but it's by no means uncomfortable. I was in fairly early evening (around 5), so there wasn't a show going on yet, but I'll definitely have to be back soon for one! Interesting tidbit: there are, if I'm not mistaken, a full *four* bathrooms for a relatively small space. No waiting around here! read more

Seriously, it is the best comedy. The Friday and Saturday shows are by a group called "The Main Thing" and I laughed until I was in tears. The drink menu was broad and the German Chocolate Martini was to die for. They also have excellent coffee drinks and are open during the daytime to hangout. We had a blast at The Joint, which we visited on our anniversary! We were truly impressed. For those who are unaware, The Joint was opened by a couple from Houston who had a comedy club there for many years. They moved to Little Rock and added a third person, calling themselves "The Main Thing." On weekends, they perform comedies such as the one we saw, "Electile Dysfunction". Throughout the week, they have musical and improv performances. The atmosphere is great - they have a brand new, well thought out design with plenty of seating. They offer an abundance of drinks (wine, beer, coffee, and non-alcoholic options) along with light hors d'oeuvres. We had excellent service the entire night. Electile Dysfunction was hilarious (I especially loved the Little Rock evangelist!) I was worried it may be cheesy, but it really wasn't. Just good, clean (enough) humor. And not to be missed - they offer excellent coffee and drink selections from morning to night. Don't like the options? Just ask, and they're happy to test some new concoctions. read more

I went to The Joint for their Saturday night show. I had no idea what to expect, but it was really fun! It's nice to have an option for something different to do on a weekend night. The show was hilarious - the 3 actors are very talented, and they played a huge cast of characters, seamlessly changing wigs/hats/glasses/accents quickly. The show was impressive and a lot of fun. The jibberish-talking Doctor character had me in tears. They have a lot of good beers on tap - we got a pitcher of Scrimshaw and were happy campers. I have also come here during the day for coffee + Wifi. It's a nice space, with great coffee and fast internet. I'll keep coming back to support this local business. read more

First time I came here was to watch a good friend's band which shall remain nameless. I was not impressed with the whole experience. The place feels kinda bland and boring. It's not a dive bar or anything but it just lacks the vibes you want from a music venue. Not surprising I guess since its really just a comedy club. Like most comedy clubs, the bartenders are slow and the drinks are watery. The soundguy must have completely checked out for the night because my friend's band sounds awesome at other places. You can tell it's a comedy club that thought "hey lets start booking some bands, we can just throw up a couple microphones, that looks easy". The final straw for me was the Kool Keith show. It was soooo wack! This place just has too much of a weird awkward vibe to be a music venue. You could tell Keith wasn't feeling it either. Dude seemed really bored and ended his set early. A lot of people in the strangely small crowd were ticked off about the whole thing. I should have known better than to watch a hiphop show at a comedy club. I won't be back. read more

I came in starving and thirsty for my obligatory decaf iced latte...at 3 in the afternoon, after a 5 hour flight with a 5 month old baby and three hours of sleep...and this place saved the day. At a time of day when most places are closed or indifferent to your plight. I was hoping for a more full food menu, but the turkey panini was very good. And the iced latte was awesome. I can't begin to tell you how many times I've ordered an iced latte and the folks just don't know how to make it. Really. This latte was rich and *not* melted down. Perfect. The coffee was great and I snagged some time on the internet while munching on a nosh plate for breakfast. Don't be worry about finding parking- I was in at 10 am and parked right on the street. The Joint is a great little cozy music venue with a lot to offer. It's got plenty of different beers to choose from, a nice, nice selection. Plus, they have lattes, cappuccinos, and other coffee beverages for the DD. The stage and sound system are very nice. It's a cocktail style lounge area, and the stage is lined with very nice red velvet curtains. The sound gets full in the room, yet is never overly loud or overbearing. If you haven't been to this place, then you need to visit. The coffee here is just amazing! Albert recommended to me the Toasted Marshmallow Mocha, and it was as good as it sounds. They also have comedy here 4 nights a week, something Central Arkansas is definitely lacking. I have not been to one of the shows yet, but plan on doing so, as soon as possible! Delicious coffee!! I love their Coffee Blended Coffee. It's like a frappacino but refreshing and not so overly sweet. Friendly people working there. Great beer specials. Small, comfortable outdoor patio. One of the better venues in the central arkansas area in terms of stage area, sound quality, and environment. The space itself is very professionally constructed. Live comedy performances made me laugh hysterically more than a few times. This place is overflowing with talent and performers put on an unforgettable show unlike anything else you will ever see in LR/NLR. Definitely worth checking out whether you want a quick coffee/beer or want to watch a live music show with a group of friends or family. read more

This is one of the first first coffee/beer/wine cafe combinations despite the purposeful design of a intimate club'/stage, you can actually visit during broad daylight hours a.m. and afternoon and still FEEL like a coffee shop. -- Not a daytime coffee drinker happening upon a sports bar or dive. Well maybe a classy dive. Coffee is slightly above average. Probably would not rate it for top tasting coffee. Staff is friendly.
