Do not recommend this joint chiropractic to anyone. The receptionist very lacking in HIPPA privacy. she was requesting for me to shout out first name my last name my date of birth I finally asked her what about HIPPA And would I just be able to finish the paperwork she had handed me or could I give her my drivers license to copy my information from. How unprofessional and a room full of people waiting. I was told I had an appointment at five I was seen at 5:45 and then I was there for 20 minutes getting poked and prodded by Mark Palazzo the chiropractor poking me in places I was not hurting I'm very limber very healthy I take no medication I am 5 foot three and weighs 135 pounds I exercise I eat right I was just there for one thing and that was to get my neck adjusted. He proceeded to tell me he felt I had a fracture in my hip. He informed me that my right leg was shorter than my left leg which I already knew. Which 99.9% of humans all have one leg longer one arm longer 1 foot bigger one hand stronger LOL this guy just blew me away with the diagnosis he was throwing at me without any x-rays. I informed him that I've been working in the medical field for 15 years orthopaedics for four years I look at x-rays every day I'm very knowledgable I'm very educated as to which vitamins to take especially for my bone health vitamin D and calcium. I have a bone density every six months. I take Prolia as an injection every six months for my bone health. I have bloodwork twice a year. My family doctor, my OB/GYN, and my rheumatologist have lab work that state my vitamin D and calcium levels are normal but this chiropractor proceeded to tell me that I was lacking and started to venture into comments about how this may not be accurate findings. I was absolutely blown away by the process. I have gone to Joint Chiropractic in another town never had this issue had my neck Adjusted and left happy. Poor adjustments, bad customer service. I started coming to this The Joint because it's much easier for me to get to during the work week. The first chiropractor I had there was okay but then they changed to a new one - Dr. Lori. Unfortunately, I was not getting very good adjustments from her. She was mainly using the moving table to adjust me. The last time I went in, I asked her not to use the table, so she did it manually. When finished, I could feel my hips were not fully in place. I asked her and she said I just needed to wait. Well that night and the next day I felt the same and I was sure it was still out of place. (When out I've been having problems with mobility in my leg, so it's pretty obvious to me.) So, I went to Dr. Drew and he confirmed I was out of place and adjusted me. It was a big difference. I have my leg mobility back. I would not recommend this chiropractor. She's nice but does not get the job done. On top of it, I spoke to the manager about it and they would not do anything about it at all - not even offer to correct it by readjusting me. I had to pay to get readjusted from another The Joint. The bad customer service is the kicker for me. I won't be back. And it definitely discourages me from using another The Joint as well. The other The Joint would not help me out with my problems at Norterra. The excuse was that they are the same company but separately owned. My confidence in customer service at The Joint as a whole is low at this point. read more

Two weeks ago, I did something to my back while in Yoga. After hobbling around for a week I made an appointment at the joint. Bonnie at the front desk was very kind, and accommodating. Your first appointment is only 19 dollars. When I showed up, Doctor Smith took me back right away. He started our conversation by bringing out a model of the spine, and showing me the things he was talking about, and how everything comes back to the spin. My first adjustment wasn't as awkward as I imagined it would be, in fact there was 2 instances of instant relief. Dr. Smith was very precise, and explained everything he was doing, as he did it, and I felt very safe. My second visit was just as great (though no moment of instant relief) I look forward to finishing my treatment with Dr. Smith, and the rest of the office at The Joint Noterra. read more

I've been battling with back pain for over a year now and have put off getting it taken care of for quite some time. Yesterday, I experienced probably the worst back pain I ever could've imagined.... to the point where I couldn't even walk, sit or lay down. I knew that this was my breaking point and it finally clicked in my head that I NEEDED to get this taken care of. I've always lived in the vicinity of the Norterra shopping center and have frequented Massage Envy, which neighbors The Joint. So I gave them a call and spoke with Sharon, told her it was my first time and that I would like to get in later on that day and she made it so easy from the telephone call all the way when I walked through their door for the first time. I was in there promptly and was well taken care of by Mark Pallazo. He made sure that I understood everything and reassured me that he would help me one way or another. To make a long story short, I felt 10000x better after Mark worked his magic on me! I'm going back later this week for a follow up and I honestly couldn't be more excited. I wish I would've taken care of my pain sooner, and I urge anyone who is contemplating about seeking chiropractic care to do it NOW and try THIS place first!!! I have a joint membership out of my home state of Virginia and we stopped in because my husband's back was bothering him. My husband actually feels great. I got an adjustment while I was there and I didn't feel like I got the same level of attention or verification of how I felt as I do in my local Joint. Additionally he moved my neck very quickly which made me very uncomfortable. My doctor in Va is very delicate with the neck area and makes sure that my shoulder blade pain is worked on and works on opening my shoulder area non of which was performed here. Don't sign up for the monthly wellness program! I was told I have to do two month, which I did, and when canceling, it has to be a 30 day notice... ok I called and told them I wanted to cancel 31 days before my next payment and she told me I would still be charged the next payment. That's more than a 30 day notice and makes NO sense! I'm not interested in using their service anymore and shouldn't have to pay for a full extra month I won't use! If there's something in the contract that states this they should explain and not trick people into paying for services not used. Good companies with good customer service don't do that. read more

I have been going since the beginning, and, honestly, most of the doctors are beginners or not very good. Once you do find a good ones...eventually they leave or are "terminated" because they want to take their time to do a good job..not the 5 min( or less) whack & crack that they are told to do by corporate. I have experienced 3 good doctors and have traveled to find them..I have been at The Joint @ Camelback, Paradise Valley, Moon Valley, Desert Ridge, Tempe ( visiting daughter) and Norterra. I enrolled in The Joint Norterra for month on month membership ( i.e $59/-). During the enrollment they told me I have to give 1 week notice to cancel the membership. i.e. 1 week before the billing cycle. Now when I went to cancel the membership I was told, that I have make one more month payment. The way their system works once cancelled it will charge for last payment and I have go there for another 4 visit. If you need a chiropractor who listens to you, Dr. Adrian Retamoza is the best. I've been going to his office at Union Hills and 7th Ave. 3 years and have felt better that day. Everyone here is very nice. I came on a Sunday because I was suffering from a pinched nerve dealing with the sciatica. After a few adjustments, it began to feel better. Since I have dealt with this over the years, I knew that X-Rays were unnecessary which is something most Chiropractic offices want before they work on you. It was nice to find a place where you could go in and receive an adjustment at a reasonable cost. I would not recommend this if you suffered some sort of back injury or fall until you find out exactly what is wrong.
