I've been coming to The Joint for about a year now. When I first started seeing Dr. T I was all messed up. I was in chronic pain, and it got to the point of me just feeling exhausted and beat up on a daily basis. What made me finally come in was that I had the worst migraine of my life... light sensitivity, noise sensitivity, I even threw up, and it lasted for hours. I've been going to different chiropractors on and off since I was in elementary school. I even went to a different person who specialized in the Korean Specific technique and felt that their prices were too high and I couldn't go as frequently as I wanted. So when my dad told me about the monthly pricing at the Joint, I decided to give them a try. I've NEVER had a toxic release from an adjustment. It was the weirdest thing ever, but I knew that meant I got a really good adjustment with Dr. T and was on the road to recovery. I still go in once every 1-2 weeks, depending on my level of pain and headaches. Chronic pain is crazy, it can totally effect your mood and lifestyle. I feel like I've been able to get my life back without being in constant pain. I can be at work without feeling like I'm broken. I can exercise again and be at my best. Unsanitary, uncomfortable, and unskilled I was just here this morning and I got the new member special which included a screening and an adjustment. I only came here once so this may not reflect the usual business practices of this place but I was really traumatized and will never be coming back to or recommending this place to anyone 1. Unsanitary - The BO smell was unbearable. The bed must not have been wiped down because the smell was TERRIBLE and so bad that it was hard to breathe. The smell also came from the doctor who worked on me and when I came in, I noticed that my doctor had just finished with another patient and she did NOT wash her hands nor was she wearing gloves. Disgusting. I did not want to say anything in front of her so after my appointment, as soon as I walked out and got to my car, I called them and spoke with the nice lady at the desk. When I told her that I thought the beds were not clean, she said that if I felt that way then should go to another Joint location maybe in Berkeley? Wow. She did not even talk about or explain the smell. The smell was SO bad that I felt nauseous and I was literally sniffing a bottle of perfume right under my nostril in my car for the next 10 minutes. 2. Uncomfortable - The doctor was really unspecific about directions and she seemed like she was in a rush to get me out of there. She kept grabbing my stomach when I did not understand her directions to get me to move into different positions which scared me every time. Not only that, but she kept pushing me to get the wellness package and even though I never said I would get it, she told the receptionist that I would be getting the plan. Also, throughout the entire time, the other doctor was standing at a desk right next to me and facing my bed and his line of vision was lined up right at me and that was also really uncomfortable 3. Unskilled - So I waited 35 minutes even though I came in with an appointment and the entire adjustment only took like 10 minutes including all the testing and explaining. She did 2 adjustments one for my neck and one for my back. I came in only to cure my neck and shoulder pain so actually, even though the back adjustment had NO FEELING at all (literally no feeling no crack no nothing), that did not really matter to me. For my neck, there was a small crack but literally, I could have achieved the same exact effect by just stretching my neck at home by myself; there was NO SKILL involved at all. It was a light tug on my neck for a small popping noise but I can do this same motion by putting one arm behind me and tugging on my neck with the other. This is NOT a service you need to pay money for; you can get the same effect by stretching watching a youtube video. It is now 5 hours after my adjustment and I have the same exact pain I came in with. The receptionist said that she would go over my prescription and she literally could not understand the prescription and she literally said "I think that means you should come every week? And then after that it says... how many months is this, maybe 9? I'm not actually sure." So to clarify, they wanted me to get the wellness plan so they wrote up a prescription telling me to come often but she could not even read the prescription yet she still told me to get the wellness plan. Please go somewhere else it is NOT WORTH IT Also, if you look at the comments, the oldest comment is from 7 years ago. Over the past 7 years they had 10 1-star comments. 6 of the 10 1-star reviews were from the past 1 year. Don't let the high rating fool you like it fooled me read more

Checking in is so quick and easy. The office space is clean and organized with baskets for your personal items. The care there is amazing. I don't usually write a bad review but what a terrible experience. This one falls under "buyer beware"! As a monthly subscriber of the Joint, I took advantage of the freeze feature as I'm traveling in June. I pay for four adjustments each month and this month I only had three. Turns out my billing date is the 30th. Normally this means each month I go get adjusted but since today was my only day off this week, I ran into gremlin # 1, presenting himself as 'J'! After unsuccessfully persuading him that I only had three adjustments this month and would like the fourth today, he insisted that yesterday was when my 'subscription freeze' started, a day before the billing date and therefore I'd have to pay the full monthly subscription rate of $89 for an adjustment and reinstate the June subscription. No flexibility, no grace period, just J excited to charge me for the month of June, despite my clear explanation of not being around in June. So, of course, surprised at that special level on incompetence I asked to speak to El Jefe. Eventually, a Dr T came by seemingly to discuss the situation with me and quickly made it clear that he's all about profit before people. He explained that either he'd reinstate my June billing for $89 or he'd charge $45 for a single adjustment. Idiot. No flexibility, no understanding, no customer service. In fact, not a manager, solving problems or providing solutions, but just a menu. After so many successful visits at another Joint chiropractic center, I cannot understand why the Chiropractic franchise that until today was so exceptional in their excellence toward me were simply unable to make an exception in their customer service experience. So, 1 star. And the best part?.....The name calling, on my way out! read more

I had recently moved to the El Sobrante area and was looking for a chiropractor. I have been having difficulty due to the pandemic, limited hours of operation, and cost. After finding this office that's a 15 minute drive and exit away from me, I came in. Staff was friendly, clean, they sanitize after each guest. Dr. T. spent time getting to know me and my problem areas. I was feeling extreme stiffness and pain throughout my neck, back, glutes, and legs. Within 3 weeks and immediately post treatment, I've regained my range of motion, have less stiffness and muscle tightness. I'd say my pain level went from a 9-10 to a moderate 6 with some areas still being problematic. I have an office job and usually work 10-12 hours days. I can finally sit and work without having to constantly adjust because of the pain. I've been working solidly with Dr. T. on my treatment plan and have worked with him on me incorporating stretching throughout my work day, using my Theragun, ice, and heat treatment. Overall, I am 100% happy with the progress we've made and the level of customer service I have seen from this entire office. It is a very well ran operation and as efficient as you can ask while being COVID-19 safe and compliant. I rarely give out 5 stars and recommendations, but stellar job team! read more

After being in so much sciatic pain due to my pregnancy, I decided to give this place a try. I went here because my cousin works at the Sacramento one so I decided to give it a try. I gotta say that I was nervous being pregnant and all, but the staff was super friendly. They walked through with me all the options and treatment plans. They explain why I was having pain and how being pregnant was a big reason why my body is out of whack! First time pregnancy btw! They gave me a treatment to go in a few times a month but I gotta say after suffering for months with sciatica and hip pain, after Dr Limón adjusted me, I felt some comfort. The next day I was surprised and even told my boyfriend "Oh my god! I don't have any pain today!" Not only did Dr. Limon adjusted me, but he also said there were some exercises he could show my boyfriend in order to give me some relief at home if I experienced any. The Chiropractors are good, but they practically scammed me and my cousin. They told me and my cousin, that we would not have a recurring payment for this special and we asked specifically about it. Fast forward I notice two payments as a recurring payment for me and my cousin, when I called all they said was pretty much too bad. We can cancel further payments but you can't get your refund. read more
