I know other dispensaries like to take shots at Zips, accusing them of selling under cost to cut other retailers, which seems to be unfounded. The prices on established brands are on par with other area dispensaries, including sales. It's just that Zips will also offer the aforementioned "second tier" and upstarts, at entry level prices, other dispensaries don't even carry. I'm sure the option is there if others want to cater to both upscale and downmarket, but most choose to stay high end.
