However, even in the more challenging classes, I've never been embarrassed to take things at my own pace. Aine, the owner and our instructor for this first class, is great. She is super friendly, welcoming, provides great instruction and simple steps to learn. Aine is also amazingly talented, making all the moves look so fluid and easy, which is inspiring to see as I flailed around the pole! I consider myself fit, working out 5-6 days a week, but that doesn't prepare you for pole. It is a whole new test of strength, flexibility and coordination (and I'm pretty lacking in the last two of that list). However, I recently went to their Sunday morning class not knowing it was in a hot room. Now, I can't stop. I am addicted to hot yoga. I feel like I do two hours of work within a 50 -ish minute class. I typically don't get sore muscles after yoga, accept for after sessions here, the next day I feel as if I just spent hours lifting at the gym. I've been to a couple of sessions now and am looking forward to making their Sunday morning class a part of my regular weekly fitness routine.

The instructors are always very kind and welcoming, some even remember me when I haven't been there for a couple months which is amazing. The space is clean and inviting. A couple spots to fill up your water before class. The class space is very large and has wall-to-wall tatami mats. There are plenty of blocks and straps to use. Blocks are cleaned/sprayed after each use and left to dry out individually, not stacked again immediately while damp, which I appreciate. I always feel like I get a good workout here. I bring my mat and towel and I'm soaked and sweaty by the end of every class. It's nice to take a true hot yoga class and get all the toxins out! It also feels like a very non-judgmental environment. Very hippie down-to-earth vibe, unlike those gen z 'white and and black with a neon sign and lulu lemon' studio aesthetics that are commonplace elsewhere. Thank you, Wild Light!!

Last night, the instructor, Stephenie, went out of her way to introduce herself and make me feel welcome. She also checked on me during class and followed up with me after class. Eva's encouragement and positive tips throughout the workout kept the girls motivated and pumped throughout the entire class.
