There's also a long bar outside with a tv...lots of seating inside and out. I got the crab cakes plate with pasta and a salad with lemon vinaigrette. I was happy with my choice...it was delicious. My husband likes "regular", so he got the hot ham and cheese with fries. Make sure you read the fine print if you like regular. It had an aioli and I think pickled onions, so he didn't care for it. You just can't go wrong at Lady May! My wife's father was visiting and wanted to treat us to brunch. My youngest daughter and I were asked where we should eat and we both eagerly announced the Lady May as our choice. It's a 55 minute drive from our location, but we both knew that would be an easy drive because of the menu selection that awaited us upon arrival. We arrived on the day that the city of Ocean Springs was having its St. Patrick Day celebration parade, and the street on which Lady May resides was barricaded. As a result we were not able to get to the Lady May parking, having to instead park a couple of blocks away. There was a surprisingly large crowd already gathered along the barricades, well before the parade was due to begin. Checking with the hostess, we were told that there would a minimum 30 minutes wait for a table, not an unreasonable amount of time, considering the large amount of people we found clustered within the restaurant and outside. All the same, by the 20 minute mark, we were informed that our table was ready. Our waitress, who arrived at our table promptly, informed us of the day's special, the details of which I don't recall, but we each passed on it, choosing instead something from the menu. My wife chose the Biscuit Monica, my daughter the Crawfish Flatbread, and I and my father-in-law both chose the Shank and Egg with a side order of one Waffle. My previous reviews have noted the exceptional quality of the dishes produced by this fine restaurant, and I am able to report that the cook staff excelled yet again. We all expressed deep satisfaction with our dishes, and left with full and very happy stomachs. Of course, we couldn't get out afterwards without my wife and daughter stopping by their store where they each purchased some natural tallow based skin cream product for their personal use. The store is located right within the front door and is full of many nice skin, hair and even beard care products. I recently suffered a second degree burn to my hand, and found a soothing tallow skin cream that I apply daily. It has produced better results than any the OTC product recommended by my doctor. In conclusion, as you can tell, I have nothing to report in the negative about this fine establishment, and I wish them all the best in 2026 and many years to come. read more

Going again this morning because it was so good the other day! You get welcomed in and pick if you want to eat outside or inside. They have a little bit of everything so everyone is happy. Y'all this place was packed for lunch on a Friday afternoon...get yourself some reservations if you're in a hurry. We sat at the bar initially just to wait on a table but decided to order lunch there at the bar. We asked the bartender (I didn't get her name) for recommendations and she gave top-tier suggestions. Lady May and a cute spot. The wait isn't too long with a reservation. Outside seating was available immediately however inside had a wait. The front dining area is nicer than the back room and bar seating is offered as first come first serve. The menu has something for everyone with a southern charm flair. Biscuits come with the entrees. Ask for a Jam/Jelly - they have some interesting flavorful jams with spice. The crab cakes are most delicious and a very nice portion. Shareable if you enjoy family style dining. The burgers are good along side the tiniest shoestring French fries I've ever seen. The salad that has Seared Tuna is great too. This was our second visit to the Lady May. It's a super cute, instagram-able spot right in the walkable area of Ocean Springs. This visit, we started with cocktails and they were prepared well. My husband ordered the fried chicken which was excellent. The biscuit and baked macaroni and cheese that came with it were outstanding. The macaroni reminded me of my grandmother's, but more decadent. I wasn't super hungry so I got the pimento cheese board to snack on. It came with delicious house made pimento cheese along with crostini, cukes, and hard boiled eggs. The candied jalapeños on the side put it over the top. The burger was a double with bacon and bbq sauce. Quite large and not oily. I had vinegar and oil for my dressing. The Salad tasted fresh with lots of Crunch. Upon walking in, we sat at an empty table since there were no where else. Someone even came and took our drink order. Minutes later, we were told the table was reserved and we had to leave. Then we got sat inside, which was better, but then got moved again because we had a kid and a newborn. Which blocked the table entrances. I get it, they have to follow policy. But after, we noticed a couple of servers seemed annoyed with us, especially the older lady. We called for her, and she purposely ignored us and kept walking. Other than that, the other servers were patient and helpful. As for the food, I felt like it was mid. The waffles tasted plain and was dry. The fried okra was pickled which I did not care for. The biscuit was pretty good and I do recommend the blueberry jalapeño jam with it. Grits were also ok. Burger was good. Drinks were ok. Hated that they don't let you try the wines first but it's ok. Girl's weekend began with The Lady May. I knew I was in for a special brunch when I saw the Bloody Mary bar. I had no idea that all the pickled vegetables and jams we spent 15 minutes picking out would feature into our meal so we could narrow down what we really liked. The Bloody Mary bar had a selection of okra, green beans, and pickles to add to the drink and all the jams we were contemplating were front and center on our brunch boards. We did not spare a calorie on this trip, we had mimosas, the pimiento cheese board, the biscuit board and the waffle board. For four people, that was plenty. I was in town (across the bridge) for a conference and was given a lunch voucher for our choice of spots - one of them being the Lady May. A group of ladies and I ended up here and I opted to go with a basic breakfast plate. Everything was delicious, but hard to go wrong with eggs, bacon & grits! Another group and I ended up back here later that night for burgers and a snack board, and this is where we were really blown away. Everything was so good! Service was wonderful from start to finish, friendly, attentive, and never rushed. We both ordered burgers: the Bacon Jam and the Louisville Slugger, and they were fantastic. Juicy, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The shoestring fries deserve their own shoutout. Perfectly crispy and impossible to stop eating.
