Came here Sunday afternoon after a short family hang out...Cuz it was close. It's big and clean and the music is "loud" but unfortunately they only serve beer. I thought sports bar means alcohol ie liquor but apparently not this place lol. They do serve a lot of beer but we were looking for more. The waitress seems nice but not knowledgeable of the beers they carry. And since we don't know our beers...it was a hit or miss. There's six pool tables but not the professional kind...the ones you insert money. Also it was incredibly bright in here...so bright we had to ask the waitress to close the blinds. First time here last night, the spot is super dope. A lot of tables to play! Recommend corner spot for privacy and some space. But regardless atmosphere is dope, bartenders are quick and on it. Great to ok beer selection. Some really good stuff for the craft beer geek, and average beer for the Budweiser crowd. Pool is $1.25 per game or $7 a hour before 6:45pm. Place was empty when I arrived but slowly started to fill up. Bartender was good. I feel like if I didn't know what I wanted already she would of helped me out. Place was clean an tidy. Came here on a Friday kinda randomly as I was looking for a spot to try nearby. Yelp review were good so I said "why not?" ... and I'm so glad I did! I really liked this bar. Surprisingly spacious with a friendly vibe and lots of great beers on tap. They also have billiards, but it's hard to get a table on a Friday night. I ended up having a flight with two ciders and two IPAs. Price for the flight was $9, which isn't bad at all. Overall no complaints... good beer, decent pricing, nice vibe. Security kicked him out and LET HIM BACK IN AND PULLED US ASIDE AND CALLED ME A LIAR. Because the bartender didn't find any piss anywhere ...YES. BECAUSE I HAD TO USE THE RESTROOM AND CLEAN IT. WE ASKED HIM IF HE SAW CAMERA FOOTAGE OF THE MAN GOING INTO THE WOMENS RESTROOM...AND HE SAID YES. But it didn't matter, because we lied about there being piss on the seat. I'm sorry, but that is not the point. We go there pretty often but after tonight we will not be going back. I will be telling people we know not to go back as well. It's a good bad for reasonable priced drinks. Can't complain about that. The only thing I can mention that is a MINOR inconvenience...the price to play pool/billiards for 45 mins is 8 dollars. I mean if they switched to a 1$ a game that would suffice. Also it gets pretty toasty in there. AIR CONDITIONING may be extra cost. Idk. If you haven't been to the Junction, you're missing out. The Junction has a great selection of craft beer, five pool tables, a jukebox, a lot of seating options, and chill vibes. I absolutely love this place! All the bartenders, with the exception of Danielle, are not very attentive. Danielle is always helpful and quick. I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes for a beer when she helps me. Paul is another on of my favorite employees here. He recommends great beers. The Junction is perfect spot to grab a beer any day of the week. If you're looking for more of a mellow type of night without crowds, stop by Monday-Thursday. You're able to get a pool table. If you visit past 9pm on Friday-Sunday, good luck getting a table. They have a 1 hour minimum on the tables during the weekend. You have to stand by a table in order to call it next. The music selection for this pool hall is excellent and not too loud so you are still able to have a conversation with friends. This place has no kitchen but worry not! Driving by and decided to stop by and have a beer. As you walk in you can hear the music playing over the speakers and it's all types of music from hip hot to country. Then I realized they have an electronic jukebox. Sat at the bar, looked over the menu, asked the bartender a couple questions then ordered a beer. Tv's playing sports, pool tables all around and just sat there and enjoyed my beer. I did notice a couple things like for one I seen the bartender refill a guy's beer in the same glass. Aren't they supposed to give you a new glass? I'm sure other bars do this as well but the way they clean their glasses. It's a Dip, Dip, Dip and hadn't dry process. THIS IS MY SECOND TIME AT THIS ESTABLISHMENT AND THE LAST. The first time I was here it was a good vibe and decent service but this last time i was here it was completely abysmal. The place wasn't to packed and it had a few seats but as soon as we sat down at the bar and waited a while Approximately 2 minutes for the completely removed from reality bartender I asked what kind of IPA they have and the obviously uninterested in service lady apparently named star (I will give the benefit of the doubt maybe she was just having a bad day or is exhausted from work and I'm sure she is a nice person) the receipt, paused for a moment and said "uhh lots".... I legit was dumbfounded like are you kidding me. I didn't know what to say so she scanned the taps closest to her and said we have that one and so I said (not wanting to pursue the issue) "ok that is fine" and it was a broken skull IPA and it was abhorrent, it smelled like cat litter legit it was gross it was watery and flavorless. Long story short I left immediately after finishing the abominable beer and I will never return. Ok so i was just at the junction bar about 30 minutes ago with friends, when i wanted to purchase alcohol i was denied by the Manager Darlene the twig lady with the kruella Davelle haircut purple and black. I showed her my expired ID with the DMV interim Driver License(Renewal) which is a confirmation of who i am as an American Citizen and legal to drive and purchase Alcohol anywhere in the united states or anywhere else, but she said in her own words she needed physical proof. After i just showed her my ID so i walked away irritated joined my group at a nearby table not even 5 minutes passed and i was then escorted out of the establishment not because of my iD but because the Mangaer Darlene ordered it so. My friends were asked to leave because i was with them. Note i was not disorderly at all by witnesses. Let this be a warning to all who enter this junction bar. read more

4 stars instead of 5 is simply because I love to play pool n I felt like the cues, felt and balls could be better quality. But that's if you're really into pool lol. This place was still a great find for me. Bartender was super nice and with 1 sample found me a beer I enjoyed. (Three Weavers). Decor is great and there is a lot of places to hangout and sit if you aren't shooting pool. I dont live anywhere near here but if I end up this way again, I'd definitely stop by! read more

This place is literally down the block from me. I go here every weekend. Awesome beers, loud music, a couple of pool tables to satisfy your needs. It's great here. Although there's 1 bad thing I've noticed from this place. There's that 1 bartender that just does not know what she's doing. First, I asked for two beers. A sour monkey, and a ravens eye imperial stout. She starts off by telling me "we don't have a sour monkey" I proceed to show her the menu in my hands that I picked up. "Ohh we do have it, okay I thought it was golden monkey" , then she hands me the beer saying "here's your golden monkey!" (Lol) Then she pours me my stout, although she pours it in the large glass, not the 10.5 ounce glass it says it comes with on the menu. She tallies my total to $16.?? I then pull out my $20, but ask her why it came out to 16? Both beers were about 5$ She then says that she accidentally poured me too much of the other beer, so she is gonna go ahead and charge me for more. She didn't even ask me if I wanted more? Not only this... but she basically charged me $5 dollars more for another 6 ounces, it would be cheaper to tell her to pour me a new 10.5 ounce glass, and to pour me another 10.5 ounce glass after. Came here recently and the vibe is definitely more sports bar. They had plenty of TVs up showing different sports (at the time the dodgers were playing) and the bar basically has seating facing towards all the TVs. They ID at the front as soon as you enter and give you wristbands even though the bar is 21 and up only. Then they ID'd me again when I ordered my beer so I don't understand the point of the wristbands. There were about 6 or 7 pool tables, you pay at the table (cash or quarters) and it's first come first serve. The place only sells beer, but the selection is pretty good. Absolutely disrespectful, I asked one security guard if they had a list of who was next in billiards, he stated that they did not. Then, out of nowhere another security guard (allegedly Jay but I don't believe that's his full name, his hair has that stupid line on the left, and he acts like he's the owner), aggressively stated that we were not next on the list. He did not take any reasoning or any conversation and chose to walk away. Inappropriate to the max. When a customer asks for clarification, a security guard should not act aggressively and should not chose to not answer a question. When asked his name he said "I don't have time for this" and walked away. I hope management talks to all security guards and reminds them that they need to act appropriately when speaking to customers. As a customer, we should be treated with decency and respect and if they do have a list, then it should be presented. From the looks of it, it is all unofficial, and not regulated in anyway. Management, I hope you pay attention to these discrepancies and act accordingly. Furthermore, all security guards should be aware of the protocol, IF there is one in place. read more

For some reason this spot is never my first choice but always turns out the best of the night. Why? From the few times that I have visited I've always met really fun people. My memories from my experiences there consist of a lot of laughing and beer. I always think to myself and I think once out loud "why didn't I just come here first?" I used to come to this place all the time but it started to get bad, the staff is completely unprofessional, badrooms were disgusting and they never wiped down the tables. The security is the worst! and they literally look like kids, one night they wouldn't let my friend in unless she gave him her number, and another night they wouldn't let us in because we were "laughing too much". This is the spot! It's technically on the Downey side, but its border pico Rivera and there is no other bar that I know of in the city like this one. They have a great selection of craft beer and if you want more than one you can try the sampler and have several! Highly recommend this spot if you have good taste in beer! Also, the place is very trendy, has enough pool tables and the digital juke box for some tunes. The bartenders here are friendly and will recommend a good beer if it's your first time. The Junction is a great spot! Glad to see this type of local bar in the neighborhood and recommend checking it out! We stopped here to watch the Dodger game and had a great experience! Everything is nice and clean inside, good crowd, jukebox and lots of TVs. We really liked that the staff was friendly and offered lots of samples as they have a good amount of COLD local beers on tap. We don't like hoppy beers, we were offered about 6 or 7 options to try.. this was a nice touch as there often unfamiliar beers being poured.I think the bartenders name was Andrew, who also said that you can bring in your own food.
