    Chicken sandwich was moist.

Food was great and service exceptional. We tried several things and would definitely go back when in town.

    Still not cleaned

The waitress tried to seat us in a bar stool. When I told her my 90 year old mother couldn't sit in one she developed an attitude. She sat us in an area where most if the tables were dirty. Ours had sticky napkin holder and something sticky in the table. It took her 10 minutes to come get our order for food. We got no utensils and i refuse to drink without a straw. Our french fries were cool. But the rest was done well. We waited 17 minutes before we asked another waitress for our ticket. We never got refills ir even checked on. My plate had a huge quarter size chip in it. The fans are filthy.

Junctions rooster that sits outside the restaurant... I think he's precious. Please don't put trash in his mouth. He doesn't like it.

-I go here all the time. In fact everyone there knows me because I grew up there. Everyone is the sweetest. I've never really met a person. There wasn't an absolute doll. And most everyone is pretty quick some people say they're slow, but I'm pretty sure they're just impatient. It's always busy around lunchtime. The food is great for a small town. It's basic but it's classic. It has absolutely anything you could want and the sides there is absolutely so many classic Texas dishes. if you like Elvis Presley, claw machines, cowboys, and Marilyn Monroe-then this is most definitely the place for you. The ambience is quite random and extremely fun you could never run out of things to play I spy which to me IS GREAT! It gets pretty loud though because on Wednesdays, the lion club meets and it's just a bunch of random old loud people singing, and talking about the community which valid! So come around one on Wednesdays if you don't want to have a noisy lunch-and definitely try the patty melt or fried Oreos!

    Fried Oreos!!!

The food was okay, the water had a weird taste, and the table was super shaky. I got the fried Oreos as a desert and they were amazing! The service was good. And the room had a good atmosphere. Overall I would recommend!!!

Wednesday night arrived around 7pm. On immediate entrance you're overwhelmed by the aesthetic. Decorations are over the top and fun. I love the Elvis wall! Tables are clean. There are elevated floors with steps. They have outdoor seating but I didn't sit out there. The bar is huge but it doesn't look like they have a lot back there to drink. 3/5 Ordered the Monster Balls for an appetizer. Split the four between two of us. They're like a baked potato on steroids. So good! 5/5 The Elvis Burger was good, not great. Couldn't really taste the pimento cheese but the bacon was great. 3/5. Bad Ass fries were bland. No seasoning. 1/5. Burger, tea, sweet potato fries, and half the Monster balls equals $22.00.

Walk in to an old time feel with old chandeliers on the ceiling. It was a comfortable environment. Some nice music playing over the speakers. Sat quickly. Food came pretty quickly as well. I had a Ham and Cheese omelet. It was severed with Toast and Hash browns. My husband had a full stack. The food tasted great. The service was okay. Our server wasn't as attentive as we are used too, but thats okay. She still eventually get everything we asked. Overall I would recommend the visit.

BLT was very delicious. The ranch was the star of the show for me. Good service, decorated very nicely.

Consistently good food and service. It's where the locals go. It's got a rustic/ Elvis theme that keeps you interested.

Says they are open but they told me they aren't. I don't recommend any place that lies or close early. And sign still on.

OMG! We ate waaaaay too much!!!…read more Came here to celebrate my husband's birthday. There were 7 of us but ordered for 14!! What were we thinking ??? So, all main entrees were quite good: ribs and brisket were incredibly tender, catfish was nice and crisp, chicken fell off the bone, and the chicken fried chicken was delicious. We also ordered the steak fingers as an appetizer. They tasted good but should have been crispier. Had the sampler which consisted of fried pickle spears (highly recommend) fried mushrooms (honestly tasted like they came pre-packaged and corn nuggets (also quite good). Sides were what took this review to a 4 star: Mac and cheese (way too dry), coleslaw (have had better) and the green beans ( too mushy- definitely canned beans) were nothing to brag about. Our waitperson, Barbara, was quite entertaining and I must add that she was quite efficient. She's apparently worked for the owner for 22 years (of and on). The owner was at the restaurant and made it a point to ask if we enjoyed our meals. Nice touch. We ended our experience with their desserts, all made by the co-owner. EVERY.SINGLE.DESSERT.WAS.DELICIOUS.PERIOD! In a nutshell, we enjoyed our Texas sized lunch at J&M Hill Country BBQ.

What has happened to these people? I used to order ribs and brisket and loved it, so I did again…read more The ribs were dry and perhaps overcooked. The brisket was the consistency of oatmeal. Seriously. What happened? New management? New cook? I ordered for delivery. The only thing that went wrong was the food. I'm not going back. I forgot to tell you about the cherry cobbler. It was so tart (sour) that I couldn't eat it. I threw it out after one bite. Horrible!

While traveling the beautiful backroads of Texas, my hungry colleagues and I stumbled upon the…read moreHorny Toad. Located in the middle of nowhere, in a quiet little sleepy town. Tucked away on a quiet street. Nothing fancy at all about this place. My colleagues and I strolled right in and were greeted promptly by a friendly face. We walked past the bar and were seated right away with. Totally digging the rustic atmosphere and the western decor. We were given menus and drink orders were taken. We perused the menu and drinks were back in good time. Lots of good options on the menu, and a lot of different ways to order a burger. Our friendly waitress was very helpful with lots of other customizations of other orders. (sorry I did not catch her name!) Also quick with a recommendation or witty banter to a couple of smart aleck coworkers of mine. All in good fun of course. I kept it simple. A bacon cheeseburger with mayo and no veggies. I did not chose to upgrade my burger with the "toad bun" and got a side order of tator tots. (That is not a misspelling on my part. That's how they are printed on the menu). After some great conversations with my colleagues, our food arrived in good time. The room got awfully quiet as we got to it. My burger was nothing short of amazing. Very juicy, flavorful, and it did not last long on my plate. Bacon was crispy, cheese was gooey, and all on good bread. Tator tots were crispy and everything a tator tot should be. I did hear some of my colleagues who ordered the "toad bun" say the upgraded bun did not hold up well and did not hold up well to the juicy burger. They said it was tasty, but went soggy fast. So, keep that in mind if you order one. We finished our burgers, and walked up to the front to pay. By this time it was getting busy, and you could see a lot of the "regulars" passing the time with the waitstaff whom were all on a first name basis. Like that, we all were gone in a flash. I was very happy we visited this little hole in the wall joint, and hope to stumble across it again one day. Highly recommend this little jewel if you are in the area. Please drop in and give it a try. You will love it. Enjoy!
