I love that they carry some of the more unique flavors here too. I grabbed the Egg Nog flavored pop to accompany my Jungle Bowl and nitro cold brew. All 10/10! Nitro cold brew straight from the tap! I ate every last bit of my jungle bowl and ate the popsicle first. This local gem hidden in a shopping center near papa John's definitely had a unique look on the inside that instantly feels like you are transported somewhere by Jax beach. All of the greenery, salt water fish tank, they had Jaguar stuff through out the store, a tv for when the games are on, plenty of detox options, local honey, natural peanut butter, this shop had it all. I would one thousand percent stop in here again for all of the above. Literally exact same order because it was perfect. It was nice to sit and eat the bowl inside. It was quiet, the decor is cute to look at while you are snacking, and the fish are entertaining zooming around the tank looking at all the customers. Although the service is ok, the açai bowl is anything but an açai bowl. They blend the açai with other fruits, no exceptions, I asked for mango, and it was a mango smoothie. You could not taste the açai at all. It wasn't even that vibrant dark red that I'm used to. The northside lacks good, local smoothie places. Well folks, look no further than The Jungle Bowl! The staff was super friendly and helpful (and clearly figured out it was my first time stopping in!) and suggested a lot of tasty options for my family and I. I'm a sucker for a good açaí bowl, so I knew what I was getting. They offer kid sized smoothies (yay!) and my kids chose the Peanut Butter Cup and the Orange Creamsicle. Both of them sucked the smoothies down - so those were clearly winners! Bonus too - no added sugar or sweetener which as a parent I'm always happy to hear. The açaí bowl was delicious! I've been craving acai bowls some moving here from Hawaii two years ago and I was so stoked to see a place opened near by. I got the basic acai bowl. It fulfilled every bit of craving that I've had. Packed with amazing fruits and nice cold acai. The regular bowls were huge and I couldn't finish it in one sitting. The kid sized bowls would be perfect for one sitting. The only thing I would do next time I go (oh there will be multiple visits to this place), I will get extra honey on top. Welcome to the Jungle (Bowl), we've got fun and acai bowls! When I go to Florida, I immediately think of acai bowls. They're my favorite snack/breakfast item and they're harder to find and less enjoyable to eat in cold upstate NY where I am residing. The Jungle Bowl's located in a plaza next to a grocery store so there's plenty of parking. There indoor seating options but none outside that I can recall. The worker here was a friendly woman who checked in on us and looked for feedback on how we enjoyed our bowls. She asked us many questions (i.e.: are you new to the store? have you had acai bowls before? did you want honey to top the bowls?) to ensure us the best experience and product. I tried two bowls in the regular size and thought both tasted fantastic. They were a great price and packed a lot of fresh and high quality ingredients. They also make their own nut butters made on the spot to order. The regular size is $8.50, the large is under $12 and they even have a kids size for $5.99. I've been to dozens of acai spots and I've never seen kids' sizes offered before. I tried the Jungle Bowl (blended with acai, pitaya, blueberries, strawberries, pineapple, banana, mango and topped with banana, strawberries, blueberries, coconut, granola and honey). I also tried a build your own bowl where I had a pineapple, mango and banana base with goji berries and kiwi as my topping. If you're opting for the build your own bowl, you get to choose 2 toppings. All bowls already com with granola, coconut, honey and banana. They also sell salads, coffee and smoothies. I thought it was weird how I couldn't hear the blender blending. This is the kind of place I wish I could eat at every day. Some people balk at the price for "a bowl of fruit", but it is very satisfying, and I always feel pleasantly full and energized afterward. I would eat this over most other lunch offerings in the around-10-dollars range. You have two main options: a bunch of fruit and sometimes greens blended as a smoothie, or that same smoothie in a bowl with a bunch more fruit and greens and granola on top. The only negative, and this is personal preference, is that their recipes are almost all anchored by banana and I hate bananas. That means I often have to go off-menu or ask for substitutions. Luckily they are happy to accommodate and will even suggest a substitution that offers the benefits you "miss" without the banana, or help combine ingredients to "round out" your own favorites in a custom bowl. This place is new (opened 9 weeks ago) and is bright, fresh and clean. Great Duval / Jags themes and upbeat music. Will come back to try their steel-cut oatmeal and smoothies.
