Recently she wanted to come in to get her lashes done before a big birthday bash with friends. Since I wear the pants in the relationship, I let her know that I wasn't going to go with her, because guys don't go to lash bars! So when I got to the Lashbar, my first impression is that the salon is bright and inviting with a posh look. Everything looks clean and sanitary. I proceeded to sit in the boyfriend waiting room which most people call 'the lobby' a.k.a. 'entrance', where there was a nice, plush sofa ready for me to ponder life and the significance of the significant other. As I waited, the nice owner offered me their signature champagne even though I wasn't in there for long. I'm not a big champagne guy, but I tasted it and it was actually pretty good! As we conversed, the owner went on to tell me that this franchise has multiple locations in San Diego where it originated and is well known for their quality and service. Well, they backed their claims because afterwards my girlfriend said the technicians make sure to go the full mile to see that you are satisfied with your look and final lashes. Also very attentive and make sure you are comfortable while getting treated. You know how "particular" our sweet, loving, amazing wife/girlfriend/family can be when it comes to how they look before a big occasion. But my girlfriend really liked how her lashes turned out and I can tell they make her pretty happy. Who knew that lash extensions could really make someone's day? Wish I could get my lashes done too! All jokes aside, I would highly recommend LashBar to my local people! You can trust Lashbar with lashes that are second to none. If my picky girlfriend likes her lashes, you will too!

One thing that really stood out is how seriously they take hygiene and state regulations (which, sadly, is hard to find these days). All tools were individually sealed in sanitized pouches, and I even saw staff thoroughly cleaning the chairs from top to bottom after each client. No, I hint a smell of chemicals .That level of care gave me so much confidence. The technician who did my pedicure was wonderful--so kind and attentive--and did a beautiful job. My toes look amazing! Sometimes they call to let me know, sometimes they don't. They have no respect for their loyal customers or their time. It's very unprofessional to run 30-90 min late every single appt. Today was the last time. The arrogance in the owner and not showing any care or apologizing to me after my last appoint the tech was over 90 min late and when I showed up at the pushed back time, she was still not available so the owner had to take over then she rushed through my services. This is why I will no longer be a customer. I have had many techs leave throughout this timeframe. So once I get accustomed to a new one they also leave. They have a very high turnover. And I say no to not coming back here! The first lady that greeted me started on my nails right away. But then kept jumping back and forth between me and other customers, helping others, leaving me in my chair for over 30mins. She was taking better care of everyone else around me, but me. Wow, Theresa is SUCH A GEM and a true expert in lash extensions (she also trains others in her…read moremethods). I can say that she is extremely meticulous and goes above and beyond to make sure you're happy with your new lashes! She knew exactly the type of look I was going for to enhance the natural shape of my eye and perfect for a beach getaway (where you don't want to have apply mascara everyday)! She gave me the most beautiful natural lashes, but she can also do more of a bold look. She is very versatile so just show her pictures of what you're going for and she'll make it happen. I also love that she only uses Feather Lashes, which feel so light, you barely notice you have them on! They lasted through a two-week vacation in Mexico (very humid climate) and three weeks later, they still look great! After the session, she took the time to send me all of the details about the lash extensions I received so I would know what to ask for if I needed it in the future. She even helped me track down an alternative to the medical grade eyelash shampoo she recommended at the last minute (specialized makeup remover for extensions) when I realized the one she suggested wouldn't arrive in time before I left for my vacation! Do yourself a favor to try Theresa's work. Her light weight lashes and quality products, her well-rounded skills and techniques, and her great care and gentleness will give your eyes a gorgeous look without damaging your real lashes. I had bad experiences when other artists clustered my real lashes making it very irritating since my real lashes couldn't grow out normally, put too much glue that the glue clumped up on my lashes and it took forever to get rid of, or used cheap quality lashes, which were too heavy for my real lashes making them fall out faster and grow slower because of damaged roots. Any troubles that you can think of. Sorry for my lengthy review but I hope you won't have to go through those issues like i did before you could find the artists who you can trust. Theresa is among a few of them. I highly recommend her.
