When I first walked in, I noticed a variety of cute women's clothing. As I went further back in the store, I thought there was a nice variety of gifts and it was very well organized. They have everything from Kansas City t-shirts, jewelry, children's clothing, trinkets, greeting cards, and more. As I was exploring, the owner (?) of the shop made it a point to chat with me and make me feel welcome. He spoke with me briefly but left me alone after that, which I appreciated because I get irritated if shop workers try to talk to me the entire time or hover. I ended up making it a point to buy something here because of the pleasant experience I had while shopping. From their website, I learned that their mission is to: "create new streams of income for people living in poverty and for Christian ministry and missionary efforts through global trade of products." They did have a lot of handmade items and things from different parts of the world. I highly recommend this shop if looking for a gift, especially if you're not sure what you're looking for!

The staff is friendly and helpful, and the shops are full of unique finds you don't see anywhere else. It's one of those places you can wander around and always discover something new. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome and we even got to try some delicious caramel apple tea which we had to bring home. I liked the cute shop and the various seating to browse through the books. The store has a nice relaxing atmosphere and quiet playlist. There was a variety of categories of books but a smaller selection. The prices were about the norm for private small bookstores. She has some new and mostly used and also sells local author's books and items. There was coffee available also which was a nice touch. The only reason for the 4 star is some prices on certain items were quite high in comparison to being found elsewhere.

Do people really like these? They look like odd, christian voodoo dolls...weird. On the surface, this place looked like it carried all the trinkets viable to adorn a nice, suburban house for holiday or not. They also had a pretty nice knitted section of unique gloves, hats and scarves, some candles and bath soaps too. But if you look a little closer, you'll notice that things might be a little too funky for your average housewife. The purses maybe a bit too diy, or the gloves too chunky for your average wearer. Much of the works are done by national artists/designers with a few sprinkles of locals. Much of what's available had a story behind it. As was the case with my favorite item, these watercolor prints with some random story/quote from Story People's Brian Andreas. The shop carries an assortment of feel-good items like karmic chimes and little pottery people-shakers with beady little eyes that will bring you good fortune or so it said on the tag. I was even fortunate enough to be offered a whiff from a new diffuser scent that just came in to the store. It was Coffee. MMMMMM. If you know me, I'll take a nice bean under my nose anytime. I was nearby at Hi Hat grabbing coffee and remembered my wife was eyeing some heart cookie cutters for Valentine's Day cookies with the kiddo. They had nice ones here, along with Pickwick candles, pillows, and other nice home decor. The shop owners are all friendly and were helpful as we quickly perused the shop. Love this little corner of Westwood Hills as it is, and having this shop is just another reason to love it.
