The Keg on Glendale Avenue in St. Catharines is absolutely stunning--easily one of my favourite locations in the entire chain. Housed in a beautiful old stone building, it has so much character and charm. The service is consistently fantastic, and the food never disappoints. I always go for the top sirloin with a side of vegetables, and on my most recent visit, I had a piña colada that was out of this world--truly outstanding. I can't recommend this place enough. It's easy to get to, with plenty of free parking, and offers the perfect mix of atmosphere, quality, and service.

10oz. Filet Mignon

We have been visiting The Keg restaurants for more than 30 years. This recent visit did not disappoint. The Filet Mignon was fantastic. Cooked as requested accompanied by twice b as led potato and vegetables. The service is always good here and love the rustic look of this old factory location. If you visit The Keg in any of their locations, you can't go wrong.

Interesting place. I think I was expecting something a bit more casual but as soon as you walk in you can tell it's a bit more fancy or trying to be more fancy. We are definitely more a casual family, but we went for it. Staff was friendly and helpful. We started with the mushroom Neptune. Which was good. I had sirloin Oscar which was steak with shrimp and scallops. Shrimp was small and the scallops were a little chewy. But the sauce it came with was really good! My DH had the salmon with pistachio crust and he liked it (sorry no pic)

I don't review franchise chains too often but decided to give it a go with The Keg on Glendale. What you first notice when you walk up to this restaurant is the unique building it's in. The restaurant has a tall tower which makes it stand out and leads me to wonder what the building was used prior to The Keg. However, when stepping in, the next thing you notice is how dark it is. Now I know Kegs like to keep it dim, but at this location, it seemed darker than usual. We opted to sit outside which was quite nice. We ordered the 20oz. Rib Steak with Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Vegetables and the Pistachio Crusted Salmon with a Baked Potato. The steak was fine (well-seasoned and cooked to medium rare as I requested) although I would have preferred it to be thicker. The mashed potatoes were full of flavour. The salmon was interesting as the pistachio's offered a nice crunchy texture to the smooth salmon meat. We would definitely order the salmon again. The staff were also willing to accommodate a dairy allergy which was nice. Overall a solid steakhouse and in line with what you'd expect from The Keg.

Fresh Vegetables Top Sirloin Keg Fries

Don't blame covid. This is a top sirloin Keg dinner? Are those vegetables? Are they cold? How about the top sirloin, is it dry ? Sadly, yes to all the above. Very disappointing. Our other dinner was comprised of side dishes, due to a limited menu. It was fine.

I was treated to a dinner at the Keg for my birthday and I wish I was getting older faster. It was a great meal. One of the drawbacks is that they don't take reservations at this location so the wait can a pain if your party includes kids and you don't want to wait at the bar. The meal itself was fantastic from apps to dessert. The service was very good with the food coming promptly after each course. We usually share the appetizers so we can sample more and everything was fresh and delicious. As for the main, I ordered a NY Strip and I loved it. Cooked the way I like it with a good amount of side veggies made the meal both pleasant and filling. Can't wait for my next birthday.

We recently celebrated my parents 50th wedding anniversary. I made the reservation. Note: If you have someone in your party with any mobility issues please ask for a table on the main floor. Our server, Renee, was very good and attentive. Even the Manager stopped by to ask how we were doing. I ordered the prime rib. My order was a bit cool so Renee returned with a hot new cut. My brother loves the escargot as did my Dad. I had the crab cakes - kinda wished they served three instead of two. Very good and excellent with the dill aioli. The kids had their steak and mashed potatoes. If you kid like plain mashed potatoes then I might suggest a baked potatoes with butter. For desert, they gave my parents a slice of the Billy Miner ice cream cake. Very tasty and a large enough portion to share. But after the meal, I might not have sprung for a $9.00 piece of pie. Anyway my parents had a very good 50th The staff help make it special.

Went on Mother's Day because she wanted to eat steak. Food was good, service was great. It says business casual attire but saw a lot of people in jeans and a cap. No special menu for Mother's Day - was expecting something different for dessert at least. Great wine menu!

Great food, good service and slightly pricey. But, we had a great time out on the patio in summer. Funniest part of the evening - my wife ordered a kahlua and cream and the bartender asked us what was in it.

Good meal and friendly service. A little expensive, but you get what you pay for and it was a good meal. Worth a visit if in the area.

Not a lot of people for a Sunday dinner which I was still surprised that we couldn't make reservations for 5:30 pm. At the end, the most they had was 6 tables with guests. So basically, quite empty. While we waited for our food, we were presented with complimentary chips and a dip, house made since it was still warm. Crunchy yummy!! My hubby had their burger with a salad. And he said it was pretty damn good!!! I had the eggplant Parmesan but sans the cheese. The two eggplant pieces were large and the pasta was cooked right. Smothered with lots of tomato sauce. However, I was surprised it came in a bowl instead of a plate. So indeed the presentation could be better. Overall, the taste was there and I was a happy Cat. Too bad I didn't have room for dessert. I would have loved to try their chocolate avocado cake. Sounds interesting!? Moreover, White Oaks Resort is a very nice place to stay at if you are around the Niagara-on-the-lake or Niagara Falls area. ** Don't forget to take a stroll at the back of the resort. There was a good selection of in house brews, the bartender was quick to offer suggestions, but we let him know we were told to check out the blueberry wheat. We only had time to stay for one drink, but had a good time, the beer was great and we had a good chat with the bartender. Very frequently and welcoming. We only wish we'd had a time to go back and try some other beers. Hopefully we will get a chance to return one day
