We chose Valentine's Day to have a lovely experience at the Weinlokal. They were very busy and chose to open the event centre for patrons / it was cold in temperature and atmosphere. There is a good food and drink selection. Everything tasted fresh, delicious and unique. Service was friendly and attentive. Manager or owner came out to greet my dog, which was nice. Stopped in to get away from the touristy areas with mediocre food and high prices. So refreshing! We got the new Brie burger and a Caprese salad. Both were excellent! Service was great too! Lots of fresh, farm to table flavor. Great drink menu with so much to choose from. What a great place away from the touristy areas. It was pretty empty when we went in at 6 on a Thursday. But the staff was friendly and prompt. We had the goat cheese appetizer and it was phenomenal. I ordered the Caesar salad and the best part was the pepperonis. What a fun addition. Otherwise it was a pretty standard salad. The food is great. Everything is superb. I ordered Korean fried chicken sandwich sauce and chicken is wonderful. My husband ordered pasta I am not sure what the sauce but it's so yummy, tasty and never had that type of pasta sauce. They change their menu every season and it's a farm to table type of place. Service is great we ate around 12 noon. Ambiance is so great very clean this includes their washroom. Dining room has enough room for my husband's motorized scooter he could moved freely and without difficulty. I recommend this local restaurant 100%. I came here with my family on a Sunday evening to celebrate a birthday. The restaurant was absolutely EMPTY. My 2 year old toddler was acting like a toddler. He was running around, crying, laughing, etc. Doing everything a regular toddler would do. The owner of the restaurant GRABBED my son by his arm, sat him down on a stool, spoke to him in a hostile manner, and all that WITHOUT even our, his parents' permission. My son liked the area of the restaurant with the fake grass, so we asked the owner if we could move to a table by that area. He initially said no, and that if our son 'misbehaves' again, he'll kick us out. Mind you, it wasn't that we allowed our son to turn the entire place upside down, which he didn't on the first place. I would NEVER come back here solely because of this type of behaviour. The food was delicious, and our server was amazing. The owner was..... rude, hostile, obnoxious, disrespectful and downright abusive towards my son. read more

We recently celebrated my 50th birthday at WeinloKal and it was an amazing event! We cannot thank Chris, Kristina and the amazing staff enough for their hospitality, service and attention to every detail. This venue is incredible, beautiful decor and a very welcoming atmosphere. We selected to serve flatbreads and charcuterie boards with a variety of choices that were loved by everyone who attended. We love that they use high quality locally sourced ingredients for all of their menu items. They also have an excellent wine, beer and cider selection from many local industries in the area. Absolutely amazing.. best oysters in the city hands down topped down Gochujang butter and kimchi so if you like a lil spice, treat yourself.. The salmon pasta was also amazing. Perfectly cooked with a beautifully seared crust, and the cheese cake with sea foam and caramel paired with a long espresso to top it all off was absolutely perfect. OMG! Please eat here!! Wow, it was sooooo unbelievably good. We stopped in because of the reviews, and they were correct: this place has amazing food and amazing service and priced very fairly. The food is very clearly all made in house, very fresh and super creative. We were so happy with our dinner, that we came the next day for lunch. You must stop by if you are looking for a great place to eat. This will be your me of "our spots" when we visit the Niagara area. read more

Wow. What a find! We, party of 4, were visiting the Falls from the USA and wanted to try something away from the tourist area, something local. We hit the jackpot with this one and it was only 3.5 miles from our hotel. We learned that they had opened this location at the beginning of the summer. They do have their main location closer to Clifton Hill area The service was outstanding, the wine and cocktails were wonderful and our entrees; salmon, and 2 steaks were amazing and the pork chop was good just a little too well done but still tasty. We did order dessert, a plater with 3 items for the four of us to share. They were just okay. I highly recommend if you want to get away from the tourist area for a delicious meal. read more

General ambience is upscale, attentive service, good number of drinks choices at current prices. Meal prices were high and unexpected so we opted for the one and only burger offered which we did enjoy. However I paid $2 more for 'truffle fries' which was a powdery substance all over the fries, I had to leave them. Went for the Friends and Family event and it may sound like a biased review, but take is as you will. The food was excellent, just what you'd expect from the Weinkeller group. We ordered the Goat Cheese ... Pro Tip(Always order the goat cheese), Charcuterie Board was very creative and had a great selection of meat, cheese and pickled veg. I ended the meal with the Roasted Tomato Seafood Paella and it was more seafood than rice, the flavour of the smoked tomato was very evident. The rice was not mushy, it was just right. The restaurant still has to complete a few finishing touches for decor but is a perfect place for a date night, business lunch or night out with friends. Its priced just right and is a much needed breath of fresh air for the Niagara Region as we have become accustomed to either Corporate Box Restaurant or Beer and Wing joints. Really got lucky finding this place on a quick weekend trip from NJ to Niagara Falls, ON. It's about 7 mins away from the falls and absolutely worth the drive. The food was awesome, better than any spot on the main strip in Niagara Falls, and was way more reasonably priced. If you're visiting the falls or are a local, I would definitely timely recommend checking it out. It's a gem, with live music, locally sourced food, and a unique menu that won't disappoint. read more
