I would suggest calling ahead to determine when he would be in the physical store as he does provide an accurate estimate. He helped me duplicate 2 set of keys in a matter of minutes for $3 each. Pros- local lock smith, professional, and affordable Cons- Local lock smith. Single staff. wait times can be long. called the shop asking if they did key duplications. I was a little surprised that I got Edwardo's cell phone number. We texted back a fouth. He seemed busy. I ended up following up the next day. He gave me a window of time of when he would be at the shop. When I arrived, there was someone else there who got their stearing column repair-- wtf. I didn't even know locksmiths could do that. Anyways, I got 2 sets of keys duplicated by Edwardo quickly. The keys worked smoothly, he polished them where there were no burrs. 10/10 would come again. I used the Key Spot at the recommendation of a friend when the ignition lock cylinder on my car was sticking. Lalo came to repair the problem the next day. He was upfront with what he might need to do to repair the issue and the cost. He showed up on time and quickly was able to repair my jammed lock cylinder. I called us the place and they where able to give me a price over the phone, went in, everything was simple and convenient 20 mins later, I had a key made, programmed and working again. It's nice to be able to go somewhere and talk to someone and get your key fixed. I tried calling one of those Mobile lock smiths, you get the run around, they ask you for your number address and than you get transferred to some "technician" who knows nothing about what you previously discussed with the other person and than they try to slot you in a time frame and charger you for the call, for coming, out, on top of $250 for a key! The ignition of my car kept locking so I couldn't turn my key fully to start my car. I called a few autoshops and they said it would cost $500-800 to replace and that the repair would take 4 hours and about a week to get the part in. My car ended up not starting at all the morning I had to take it in, so I called for a tow truck and the driver kindly suggested that I try a lock smith. Not sure why I didn't think of that to begin with! I found The Key Spot and Eddie's quote was so much cheaper than my mechanic, and within hours he bought the part and came over! Our company van was stolen and dropped off at a gas station. They jammed a screwdriver in the ignition. Now I had 2 employees stuck! I sent Eduardo a pic and we chatted online. Then he called me and said he could be there in 25 mins. He even brought his wife so he could travel in carpool and get to us faster. (Hope she got a good dinner out of it) He was a really nice guy with a positive demeanor. I'm usually afraid when people have you over a barrel like this, they keep coming up with more reasons to charge you. But despite having to do a little extra legwork he didn't go over his price. If you ever need any type of locksmith for whatever reason whether you have lost your car keys or locked yourself out of your car this is the place to call. I had lost my keys late in the night called multiple locksmiths got no replies, however Eduardo was able to help me out and I was able to get my car re keyed. I got next morning service I was checking around on the internet about 10 pm I chose them because they are in my city I like to support local. He was here on time and rekeyed 8 locks in just over an hour. Prices are reasonable $20 per lock, cheaper than replacements. He was the owner; pleasant, professional and efficient.
