My name is Margaret Vilk, and I'm a business owner of Step By Step CC and Preschool in San Francisco, CA. I want to recommend Ms. Zhanna Shpits to every one who might have any musical/songwriting needs to be accomplished, and who would like to create their legacy song for their business or themselves or both. I've met Zhanna recently and quite by accident but now I surely may say the Universe brought us together. Our first encounter happened over the phone and while talking and discussing musical and early childhood education, I kind of mentioned my dream to have my OWN special song designated just for our Step by Step CC & Preschool that I have been running for over 17 years now. Zhanna had immediately responded with such enthusiasm that I knew right away it would happen and my modest dream I'd kept to myself for many years would come true. To work and communicate with Zhanna isn't just easy and pleasant but so much more. Everyone may listen but not everyone can hear and understand. Zhanna can. She's truly a beautiful Person inside and out, intelligent, educated, with a wide range of knowledge, very wise, and don't forget she's a talented musician, singer, songwriter. And all these qualities she gladly shares with people around her. The first time I heard the Step by Step Signature Song I didn't even try to fight my tears back. The song is so beautiful and touching. It reflects my own soul and the spirit of my place created for the children and the families. Zhanna truly understood everything about us and what we do, and she did her best creating this song. The music, the lyrics, the vocals came perfectly together! I'm so grateful to Zhanna because now my dream not only came true but has the voice and sound of its own. Although the Step by Step song still awaits its official public presentation that's coming in a few weeks, many plans are already made. My toddler joined Kidz Universe when he was 2.5 years old and the least interested in music. Within 3 sessions he became really fond of Zhanna and her teaching, and most importantly of music. We switched from zoom to in-person class recently. My son really looks forward to the in-person class. Zhanna makes every class a unique and fun experience, even for the parents. I love to jump, dance, and sing with my kid every week in her class. She introduces kids to several components of music with toys and stories. It is a learning experience for me too. I started taking my little one to these classes to introduce her to other kids and music. Ms Zhanna keeps the classes interesting and uses a bunch of different props, and musical instruments. Every class is different with something new to learn. Her Halloween-themed class was very good and had a great storytime for the kids to experience. Zhanna Shpits was the entertainer at my 3-year-old's birthday party. She was phenomenal! We had Russian and English-speaking kids, and she was able to keep them all enthralled for over an hour and a half in two languages. She sang, played different musical instruments, did magic, and danced with the kids. The parents were all entertained too! My son still sings her songs and asks when she's coming back. Our son was about 1 year old when I started looking for music class designed for the infant / toddler crowd. And now we (My husband and I) are very happy that we found The Kidz Unvierse. We have been going every Saturday for more than 5 months now and we just love it! Teacher Zhanna is the best! She comes with so much positive energy, the smile, joy and so much fun not only to the kids but also to the parents. She plays guitar and sings amazingly. Zhanna is a wonderfully-spirited, attentive, and passionate music teacher. We've been taking our son to this music class since he was 3 months old. We look forward to these classes every Saturday. We have been going to miss Zhanna for about 2 months now. My son loves her classes. It's a good way to teach kids about instruments and singing songs. She puts good amount of effort towards individual attention to kids and customizes according to each kid. We have been a part of the kindermusik program with Ms. Zhanna since my little one was 9 months and now he is 2 and a half. Zhanna has so much experience teaching that she really tailors the program based on the kids in the class. It exposes kids to songs, rhythm, instruments, and different tactile elements too - giving them auditory and sensory experience. Apart from the benefits of him learning music - rhythm and songs - it has really helped him develop his vocabulary and taught him how to socialize in a more structured learning environment. He has so much fun at music class that he sometimes asks me during the week if he can "go to Zhanna's house" and he asks me to play "his songs" in the car when we are driving. My 1.5 year old baby is quite shy but she's warming up really well at Zhanna's classes. Every time she is happy to go to class and she locks her eyes on Zhanna while she sings, as if she's attending Zhanna's concert. I think my daughter is learning what music is and how to appreciate it. One thing I like the most about Zhanna is how loving she is toward the kids, not in a fake kinda of way, but truly, I could tell that she likes children. She holds multiple kids in her arms during class and let the kids sit on her lap or lean on her whenever they are comfortable doing so. Zhanna doesn't mind talking to each parents after class about their kid's development musically. I also like how Zhanna incorporates other cultures into her teaching, like having us count and sing in Spanish, Chinese, Russia, and Hindi. Zhanna has a great singing voice and she brings certain Russian charm to her classes (which you have to be there to know what I mean). To me, the Russian aspect is a huge plug since it is a culture I have not personally encountered too much but always interested in learning more about it's richness in the arts. I highly recommend Zhanna! She's patient, observant and musically gifted. She will love your little one even if he/she is a handful. Overall her classroom is a very friendly, welcome and loving environment. All other kids and their parents are very nice as well, we enjoy our time there.
