$8 small and $9 large size difference. At $1 difference, This is how they get you to buy the large.

Key Points: - Nostalgic Family Fun - pizza was meh. - "Famous Thick Shake" was huge, but more like soft serve than any milk shake. Came here with the Fam for a birthday party for one of the Little One's school friends. I swear I haven't been to Golfland in probably 20+ years (maybe even closer to 30. That's how old I am). Glad to see it's still up and running and still a lot of fun. Young children are still a bit too small to really enjoy mini golf, or laser tag, but they had a blast running around and playing the video games. It's great to see that some things about this place haven't changed. The host of the party also purchased game cards for everyone, and each card came loaded with 100 credits. Dang! that's a lot. They were only valid for the video games, and none of the ticket or prize games, which honestly makes sense, as buying in bulk probably comes with a big discount, and no arcade wants you racking up a mountain of prizes off a party package. Still, it worked out fine because the little ones had a blast on the video games, and I even snuck in a round of Space Invaders myself ;) Even for Golfland, I can't write a review without mentioning food. Yes, it was party food, but I'll try to be nice: - Pizza: Cheese, chicken, and Veggie. Choices were great. However, the pizza quality was pretty mediocre. Akin to Little Caesar's. I'd say Chuck E. Cheese, but honestly I've never tried theirs so can't really say. - "Famous Thick Shake": I did go rogue a bit and purchased my own order of this shake that they advertise on the posters. First thing you notice? The size. It's huge! They offer a small and a large, but the "large" is about three times bigger for just $1 more. And that's how they get you to buy the large. At $9 vs. $8, of course you wouldn't order a small! The "shake" is really more like soft serve ice cream in a cup, almost like a McFlurry. I wouldn't try sucking it up through a straw though. That's futile. You get to choose three toppings. I went with two: cookie dough and coconut, which kind of makes a coconut chocolate chip cookie? It was pretty good, though way too much for one person. The Mrs., The Little One, and I together couldn't even finish it. Of note: the receipt labeled it as an "IG Thick Shake," which made me curious. I assumed IG meant instagram. So I hopped onto Instagram and searched "Golfland Thick Shake" to see what the hype was about. Let's just say the search results ended up being NSFW. Not what I was expecting. Overall, Golfland is still a solid spot for birthdays, family fun, and nostalgia. The food isn't why you come, but the golf, games, and sweet treats definitely make it worth the trip.

Came specifically for mini golf and we golfed at court 3 which they said was most challenging. It was a fun time but we came middle of the day so it was definitely hot!

    A classic. Space Invaders.

It's like a blast from the past to come here. Three sets of courses and bumper cars arcade games and now a lazer tag spot? I think that's new-ish from what I remember but kiddos a little too young for that. Just kept things simple and tried to keep the balls on course. Once we got through our 18, we cooled down with some thick shakes. But let's be real. It's more like ice cream than shakes. Lastly, we finished things off with some arcade games. Ran around a bit and ended up with more bouncey balls. Definitely coming back. Maybe on a cooler day though.

Three stars overall but one added star because Golfland provided my child with so much joy and wonderful memories. Not sure if my purchase was a Summer special or if the offering is available daily but we opted for the $30 deal providing X amount of credits. This was perfect for my 4yo. This provided her with a little bit more than an hours worth of playtime at the arcade. Prizes are whack and definitely a huge ripoff IMO but the delight written all over her face was 100% worth it.

    Having fun fighting off Dinosaurs!

Sadly, this is not the Golfland that I grew up with. During its golden years, both buildings were filled some of the best arcade games. Fridays and Saturday nights they were filled with young and old duking it out and trying to beat out the high scores (yeah, like you saw in shows like Stranger Things); DDR had lines of people just waiting to show off their feet dexterity. The golf course was pristine and all in working condition. Now... One building is filled with games that are mainly just ticket focused. Get tickets, redeem tickets; high scores, what are those? A lot of the machines are generally broken, others are based off of apps you can play on a phone/tablet. I mean, my sons like going here, so I take them from time to time. Yes this review is written with nostalgia... and the old Golfland probably struggles to succeed nowadays, but man, it was better that what we have now!

When you enter building go to the counter to pay for the options

What is the average time to complete one of the golf courses for a group of 4? Also how long is one game of laser tag?

    Hi, Indoor activities open now?

Hello bought the tickets online and when I showed up it was not open, can I get a refund?

Is laser tag opened due to Covid-19?

Hi Maritza, Unfortunately indoor entertainment venues, like laser tag, are not allowed to be open in Santa Clara county for a while. Thank you for your question.

Are all the attractions open, or just the golf?

Hi Gerald, For now the 3 18 hole mini golf courses, bumper cars, snack bar, and ICEBERG THICK THICK Shakes are open. Thanks for asking.

I noticed they're open during Covid and registration is required. Are there time limits on how long you have to complete course?

The registration is just to help disperse customers throughout the day. There is not a time limit. Just the time it takes to play 18 holes of mini golf or attractions purchased. Typically it takes 45 minutes to 1 hour to complete one round of…

We arrived 15 min early to get situated, we paid for a separate room to put our personal belongings in and waited until we were called to the briefing room. We had around a group of 25+ people so our session only included our own group. We got instructions in the briefing room and was off putting our gear on. It was a free for all style of play, everyone player for themselves. I was surprised to see how big the room was and the also had second story which adds another dynamic during the play. You can shoot off mirrors to ricochet to hit sensors on the other players. It was quite engaging and a ton of fun. Our girls are ages 7 and 9 and they got a hang of how to play right away. Surprisingly, the parents had just as much fun, if not more! The session lasted around 15-20 minutes if I had to estimate and it was definitely enough time to enjoy. The biggest surprise was how much of a workout it was. Every parent mentioned that they were sweating and got a good workout in. They recognize every player including the top 3 scores at the end. You can purchase by session - we decided to do 2 and I think it was the perfect amount. After our first session, there was a group in between to give us a much needed break and we went back in. I recommend coming here with your kids for a family event or even a group event. I am planning to look at birthday party options for my kids bday party later this year. I highly recommend checking this place out!

There were kids of all ages and adults mixed in to the rounds. There are arcades and the kids all wanted to play on the arcades during the break so be prepared for that. They had a big fridge with lots of different sodas and drinks for the kids to pick from after the second round. They also took care of all the clean up. Friendly and helpful staff.

I'm so happy my kid's team chose to celebrate here after our championship-winning game! This location is so clean and has so many fun things for the kids to do. As soon as we got there, the gentleman at the register was ON IT. He was helping everyone and making sure the entire team was well taken care of. The league covered the kids' meals, while the parents purchased their own food and drinks. It did take a while to get our food, but it was completely understandable. About 15 families walked in all at once, and they still had regular customers there enjoying the World Cup game on their many TVs. They have an arcade and laser tag. The arcade prices weren't bad at all. The kids each got a $25 game card and had enough credits to play for about an hour. Once we got our pizza, it was definitely worth the wait! Even though it was a personal-sized pizza, my husband and I were both able to eat from it, and it was enough to satisfy us. To be fair, we had also sampled some of the other parents' food while we waited, but I still thought it was a pretty good portion. Overall, I would love to come back whenever we're in the area or after one of our games. A special thank you to the gentleman at the register. He was truly a team player. Not only was he helping customers at the front, but he was also bringing out pizzas, checking to make sure everyone was doing well, and just had awesome energy the entire time.
