He even did simultaneous demonstrations for the kids and adults which was impressive Train - it was similar to the toy story ride at Disney where you shot things as you ride around with your magic wand to get points Overall this was a very unique experience that my baby enjoyed, we ended up staying for 5 hours and she asked to go again. As there was no lines or crowds on a weekday afternoon, everything was so seamless and quick that we got to do everything we wanted and switched or repeated activities instantly. Great place for a field trip. I took my elementary aged students here this past spring. It was close to our school, so we were able to walk and take light rail. About 2 months in advance, I booked our trip for a Monday morning. It was mainly just our two classes with about 10 other kids who were there on their own with their parents. They have a little theater inside with a short Lego movie, it's about 10 minutes long and they handed each person 3-d glasses. Students loved the movie and the hands on Lego building activities available. Indoor play climbing structure was fun for them too. There was a cute ride, essentially there was no line since it wasn't very crowded at all that day. My students enjoyed going on that ride more than once. Each Lego car fit about 4 people comfortably. Admission was already paid for in advance. So the front desk entry went smoothly since I had printed our QR code passes beforehand. Students loved checking out the Lego store attached to it on our way out. Looks like a wonderful place for anyone to take their kid for a random morning of afternoon of fun, especially Lego enthusiasts! read more

We spent the majority of time trying to build a car and then trying to race it. Trying to find the right material. Put more weight in the tail for the drag. Learned the wheels wider makes the car go straight. Interesting. This place is definitely for small kids. We rode the ride and laser score some points. LEGOLAND Discovery Center was nice, but it was a little much for my daughter sensory-wise. There's a lot going on, a lot of noise and activity, so if your child is sensitive, just be prepared for that part. That said, there are SO many different things to do. There are building stations everywhere, interactive play areas, a cool train ride adventure, and a 4D movie experience that was fun to watch. Everything was well put together and clearly designed for kids to enjoy. I would definitely bring her back when she's older because I know she'll be able to enjoy it even more then. Overall, it's a great place with a lot to offer, just better suited for kids who can handle a little more stimulation. read more

First time visiting to today. Located in the Great Mall in Milpitas, defiantly a fun place to take the kids. Massive lego displays of city's and themes. A awesome movie theater that has a awesome 4D experience. There is an interactive ride with a laser game. There is even a workshop with an instructor teaching how to build things. Staff were very nice and the place was clean. If I have one complaint it has nothing to do with lego land but the lack of parenting. Kids running wild and cutting lines. Parents do better! Legoland Discovery Center was definitely the highlight of our year, my 8.5 year old LOVES Lego and growing up with Lego daddy and I share her passion! She even wore long yellow gloves to look like a Lego character! We chose the Admission + Lego Minifigure + Virtual Reality + Digital Photos + Activity Pack. Her sister is just 1, but she loved the giant Lego blocks in the play area! We had so much fun on The Imagination Express that we rode 2x, in this interactive ride you get to blast things with a magic wand! We also rode the VR ride called The Great Lego Race, did the Laser Maze and had a blast in their 4D movie theater! You can actually feel the wind, rain and snow in this interactive experience! We saw an online promotion for Teacher Appreciation Month for August 2025 and it was a free ticket for the teacher and 30% off for friends & family so going here was a no brainer. Tickets are normally $29.99 per person so we saved a bunch of money during this promotional time. Highly recommend checking out the online pricing as well as any promotions they are running to get the best deals. I can see why people would be upset if they paid full price for this experience since it technically is not that big, however, I found it to be a pretty awesome time to spend 1-3 hours. I think there were a lot of fun activities to do including: 1.) Magic Wand Ride (Similar to the Disneyland Astro Blaster but not as great) 2.) 4-D Movies (every 30 minutes) 3.) Create Workshops 4.) Lazer Room Ninjango I especially loved their huge lego display of the SF Bay Area with a lot of attractions you should be familiar with if you live here. It also changes from night and day so you can see the Lego's light up which I thought was awesome. There's a lot of interactions with the displays as well such as sending BART from SF to Oakland and things that move. It was really cool for me even as an adult. If your kids are older, I think there is a possibility of spending a good chunk of time here but my toddler at age 2 could not stay too long and was pretty afraid of the big Lego Man walking around. I really really wanted to like this place. My family and I go to Legoland California every couple of years and have a blast and I once went to a Discovery Center in Berlin and had a blast. This location? It just felt flat. First off, this place is just sensory overload. There is so much going on and so many kids just running around that it's tough to stay relaxed. A lot of the play areas are also either missing parts from kids taking them from one build area to another, or breaking them, or who knows what. My kids loved doing the car racing activity, but it was tough to even find tires & connectors for them to build off of. I will say that my kids had a blast. So if you're going with kids 8-5 like I was, they'll have fun. But honestly, they were mostly doing things they could've done at our house for free with our Lego collection. I'm glad we got in with a discount because it feels like this place is hugely overpriced for what you're getting. I also want to say that most of the employees here clearly didn't want to be there. They all looked bored out of their minds and just trying to get through the day before they could leave. It was a shame that they didn't have any motivation to interact with and motivate the kids who were there. I will say mainland was cool to see. I like that it's an even more focused area than the massive one in Legoland California. But a lot of the interactive features were broken and you could see broken bricks throughout. It really just feels like this entire place could use a facelift, and a change in personnel motivation. This Discovery Center could be a great family experience. First and last time we will come here. While it's a nicely done "indoor playground", we found it to be underwhelming at best especially given the steep prices. The "ride" was about 30 seconds, and the 4D movies, while entertaining, should come with more clear warnings about being splashed multiple times with water. The multiple Lego stations were nicely organized but how about providing some chairs that provide back support for parents? It can't compare to the real Legoland parks. Our kids (who love legos) were bored after about an hour. One less star for the food which you are forced to pay for since you are not allowed in and out privileges nor is outside food allowed. We first came here a few years ago after wanting to find somewhere different to take my Lego loving children, I'm not sure how we waited so long. We loved our time there so much we became members and now go every other month or so. We recommend doing VR which is $6 or so extra per person and we love the 4D movies and train ride. The cafe is hella slow and hope this improves soon. The offerings and prices are very reasonable which is great. Given its location in a mall, you can always grab lunch or dinner somewhere in the mall before or after (since no in and outs are allowed). We love the Lego store next door as well. If you don't love large crowds, I would say do not come on the weekends or holidays because it gets packed here. Some negatives/cautions: Customer service and staff need to get better training or attention to customer experience. The laser tag is never supervised and kids will literally hop the line or barge into your game which is annoying and can be remedied with a staff member there to monitor. It happens every time we go. Staff in general aren't very attentive of bullies and always seem to be chatting with other staff instead of ensuring optimal experiences for their customers. Came here for the first time today with 2 kids and myself adult and our tickets were $20.99 each person as part of the friends and family of healthcare workers month. I don't think I would pay more than that for this experience. We stayed from 11am to 2:00pm as we spent the last hour doing a scavenger hunt for some pirates as it was Halloween season around the corner. The prize was the pops that you can put on the Lego lanyard. The center has a 4-D movie theater, we did a Lego creations workshop to make a treasure chest (too bad they don't let us take it home), and there is also laser maze available too. Kids can also go inside a large pirate theme playground area, we had to buy socks for $1 each. Not too bad. Overall a good way to kill 2-3 hours on a weekday. Not crowded which is good. read more

I think you definitely pay a bang for your buck and the sweet treat is if you're a Lego nerd like the men in my household (myself included) you can choose an exclusive in stores only Lego set to build. My family and I stopped by this Legoland location during the summer. It was a pleasant surprise, since I wasn't aware that there was a mini-Legoland in the area. We went during the weekend, so it was very busy. Not all of the facilities inside the Discovery Center wasn't open either, such as the restaurants. However, it was still a nice place for our daughter to walk around, explore, and play. You are able to build your own lego that you can take home with you, but I can't remember if it is based on which ticket you purchased at the entrance or not. There is also a short ride that the kids can go on and a movie that the whole family can watch. Overall, it was a fun experience for my family, especially my daughter. There are many things to do to keep the kids occupied so they can burn off a lot of energy. We'll be visiting again soon. read more

Our family had a blast visiting the Legoland Discovery Center. The first thing we did was hop on their ride where you can wave magic wands at screens to go through challenges like popping bubbles, blasting spaceships, etc. At the end of the ride, whoever accrued the most points can have bragging rights. Unfortunately, one of the wands on our car was not working, so one of our party members couldn't participate, and we were definitely very much caught off guard by the photo, so our candid photo is everyone looking down, haha. They also have a 4D cinema with three different shows at different show times. It was fun to watch a 10-minute short movie with special effects like wind and rain. For the energetic kids who really need to get their energy out, there is a pirate ship built like a mini play gym. Only kids are allowed inside, no adults. For the older kids who are more focused and into building Legos, there are many activities for them to experience, including a table where they can build their own race car and "race" it against other players. The interior of the place contains a large replica of different notable places in the Bay Area, like Levi's stadium, Salesforce tower, etc. They even have some interactive activities like havng the Oakland Bart train pull into the station and being able to make a touchdown with mini Lego football players. Overall, I think this place is better for the non-toddler aged kids, but there was something fun for everyone in the family to enjoy. We even got a special photo opp with Lego Man as he made his rounds! read more

This indoor Legoland museum is located inside of the Great Mall. Make sure to get tickets ahead of time online because you will save a few extra dollars, which is great when you are coming with a whole family! The place isn't super big but we managed to spend about an hour and a half there with our 4 year old and 2 year old. You can spend even longer there if you take advantage of the movie room, laser game, and lego workshops, but that was a bit out of age range for our kids. They have one ride where you can shoot your star wand at different things throughout the ride and our kids loved that they could sit alone in the back together. I would say the one thing that was a little bit annoying was the little Legos on the ground near the Lego stations. Of course I know they're going to be dropped all over the place but they should have a person or two dedicated to sweeping them up every so often before it becomes a hazard or so I don't have to run over them with the stroller. Overall I thought it was a good experience to go at least once, but I don't think we would need to go again. But the location is nice since there are other things to do like shop and eat food/dessert before or after you go! read more

I found this place on instagram and decided to take my son. It's inside a very busy mall. The earlier you can go the better. It cost $34 per person. Adults can't do anything do i personally think they should charge half the price for adults. This was the only reason I gave it a 4 stars. The place has a lot of interactive activities to build legos. It had one little ride that parents can go on. They have a little cafe. There was a 4D attraction but you have to pay extra for it. Then they had a sail boat playground that I think the kids like the most. You can literally do everything an in hour and stretch it to one and a half. I did see two party rooms. Waited until my son was 4 to come here and I still think I should have waited longer since he's not quite old enough to enjoy everything for the price point. TICKETS - you can reserve/purchase tickets in advance online and pick your entry time. I got them the morning of and still didn't have any issues. It saves you time instead of purchasing when you get there. Anyone ages 2+ have to pay the same price which is around $35. Some days are cheaper than others but for a Saturday we paid probably the more expensive price. Infants under 2 are free but no discounts for younger kids or seniors. That is probably my main gripe is that parents and kids have to pay the same price and it's not cheap. PARKING - easy parking since it's at the great mall. ATTRACTIONS - it's sort of one big room with little segments throughout. It's not huge so if your kid is not that into building legos or can't do it on their own you could probably spend an hour maybe an hour and a half here. My son was sort of overwhelmed at first and we left at 11:15 after getting in at 10:00. Luckily for a Saturday during Christmas break it wasn't that crowded. I think by 11:00 am more people were coming through. TRAIN RIDE - the operator wasn't there at first so we had to wait until closer to 10:40 to get in line. The line was probably 6 families deep but we only waited less than 10 minutes. It's basically similar to those interactive astro blasters or toy story mania rides where you go through on a lego "train" and then at little stops along the way you use this magic wand/laser to "shoot" at a TV screen and get points. I thought my son would enjoy it more but he only wanted to go on it once. It's a nice/fun ride though for little kids. NINJAGO LASER - unfortunately this was closed, which is disappointing since you don't get a discount when certain rides are closed :( PIRATE SHIP PLAYGROUND - this is like one of those indoor playcenter playgrounds where you go in and there's slides, squishy/foam pieces, punching bags and kids climb up and around. For my 4 year old he wasn't quite tall or strong enough to do everything by himself so it wasn't as enjoyable as I'm sure some other kids would be. LEGO CITY BUILDS - in the middle are these amazing lego builds of popular city attractions like the golden gate bridge, apple infinite loop, warriors chase stadium etc. and some are interactive where you wave or press a button. This was pretty impressive although for a 4 year old not that exciting but he still enjoyed looking at them. DUPLO PLAY AREA - this is supposed to be for 2-5 year olds and my 18 month old did enjoy the small slide (although a little steep) and bubbles but overall not much. They probably could have added more things to make it more fun for the kids. There's a big lego ball pit/block area too. CINEMA - the 4D cinema is free, which is nice. They had a lego city 4D show and my 4 year old was a little apprehensive at first but then enjoyed it a lot! It was his first cinema/movie experience. They have lots of showings. OTHER BUILD STATIONS - everything else are these little build stations with some prebuild buildings or roads that are glued and then little buckets where you can build things like your own train, car, boat, etc. This is where it was tough for my son to get into it because he can't really interact with the buildings and he isn't good enough to build his own builds so my husband or I would have to help. He was excited about the train track but we had to spend time building a train and digging through all the pieces to find what we needed. Overall, for the price you pay and what you get it just wasn't fully worth it for my 4 year old and 18 month old. Also, they do have a cafe but the options are a little limited and you can't bring outside food AND there are no in and out privileges so we had to leave for lunch and couldn't come back. I was able to bring some lunch for my 18 month old since she doesn't eat restaurant food yet and that was one good thing. Lots of tables spread out in the cafe and outside the cafe. read more

On this super hot day I thought I would bring my nephew here to stay cool. Lots of things to create, hut wish they had more classes. My nephew is all about building, he just likes getting ideas. We took the creative class, it was by far our favorite thing to do here. Since it was almost lunch time we checked out the cafe, well not only did they take super long time to get us two pizzas, but the pizza was so small and for over $10 not worth it. The people working here should be a little friendlier specially since kids come here super excited. We asked a young lady how long some of the stuff took to build after she rolled her eyes she said she didn't build it so she didn't know. On the pricey side ($33 per person, no discounts for kids unless they're under 2) but totally worth it even if your kids are not Lego fanatics. Our children are 5 and 3 and had a blast! There is a ride that is a more mellow version of Disneyland's Astroblasters, a 4D show, Lego "stations" everywhere, an enclosed play area for bigger kids, a small staircase coupled with a slide for the littles, and a Miniland (my personal favorite) which featured Bay Area landmarks and cities recreated with millions of Legos. Our kids gravitated toward the Ninjago corner and had tons of fun smashing buttons on the reaction time light-up wall structure. At one point a huge gingerbread man came walking out and my daughter was in heaven! The staff are also attentive and kind--one member in particular, Nathan, noticed my daughter was upset and scared by the 4D show and tracked us down after to give my her a free Legoman to cheer her up. And it worked! Finally, there is a nice $tarbucks cafe and very clean bathrooms inside as well. The neighboring Legostore is pretty cool too (and you can check that out freely without a ticket to this Discovery Center). One downside is that it can get somewhat crowded and there are no in and out privileges. Nevertheless, I do anticipate coming back in the future and am recommending my parent friends to check this place out too. read more

Fun for 4-7 year olds who are into legos. It's like an indoor play area with some add-ons like a lego building class and 15 minute movie. They have Lego build stations but some of the nicer ones were very very crowded and people weren't leaving the station at all after waiting for a long time! Kids and adults entry price is the same, so very pricey for adults since no activities really cater to them. Kids Under 3 or 4 will not have much to do. My 5yo liked it, but i don't think will ask to go again. The food was absolutely TERRIBLE and overpriced. We got a cheese pizza and cupcake, both so bad. The pizza was probably the size of a starbucks cookie for $7 and the WORST I've ever eaten. You can not leave the area and re-enter. So plan to eat before or after; Not buy inside. read more

Super dissapointed that they don't allow adults without a child. Also, super dissapointed in every time I ask them about an adult night they always say next quarter but never host an adults only night and it's been years. I wish they would have a game plan. My coworker brought her sons and said there's wasn't nuch to do for the neatly $50 fee per person. She said her sons were bored with the mostly picture taking opportunities and that the only fun thing was the ride. The store next door is small and they don't seem very friendly or interested in answering any questions. When I asked about the Batcave Shadowbox they had no clue what I was talking about. Came here on 5/31 with a family of 6 since one of my coworkers recommended this place to bring my family in. The place was fun for the kids but was packed, to be expected on the weekends. The ride attraction was probably the best thing there to do but the workers who operated it were pretty much just talking to each other, showing no attention to the paying customers. One of them said no phones on the attraction when I had my phone out to record, yet the people who got off had their phones prior. For the cafe portion of the place, the food was alright, I would rate it a 3/5. I purchased chicken tenders & 2 pepperoni pizzas. While I was ordering with my son, one of the darker short girls who was taking my order was too loud & was giving me attitude. Not sure whether it was from my accent (since English is my second language) or from something else. She seemed too bossy for her looks, that is for sure. Surprised that any of her coworkers are willing to work next to her. That is not how you operate a cafe and is not professional in any levels. My children enjoyed the food though. For the VR portion, my children said it was fun since it was their first time experiencing anything related to VR. Overall, I would rate this place a 2 out of 5. Its not quite the size of Legoland in Southern California, its not even close. Its more like a really big flagship Lego store with a lego store with purchasable Legos, a kids activities area, a playground, a mini San Fran city replica, a VR game area , a small shop with mini pizzas, snacks, coffee and a little indoors Lego ride that goes in a smallish circle. I went with my 5 year old grandson, his 3 year old brother stayed home, many activities he would be too small for. As it was, the 5 year old lego lover wasn't crazy about many of the activities. I don't blame him. So many of the "build" areas didn't have the legos. We were the first in, right at 11am. The "build a vehicle then race down the track" station didn't have ANY wheels. We skipped it after pressing the button to hear the start of the "Race". There was no one at the DOTS stop, no DOTS legos there. The workshop was still closed. And although we were told upon entry when we were handed the VIP card, you can go on everything, there was no one manning the virtual reality area. Later we came back to hear a staff person tell a family walking up, "You need to pay separately for this!". The Mother quietly said, "We did." Later we made a bathroom stop. The bathrooms had a low sink for smaller ones to do their own washing but supplies were out. No toilet seat covers, no soap, no paper towels to dry up. It all looked very dirty - unflushed toilets, trash on the floors. This yelp heading says the staff wear masks but NO ONE working there wore a mask. No one inside did either. It's not easy to find hand sanitizer there so bring your own and a big bottle of Lysol - Legos are touched by everyone. I saw no one cleaning anything. It's a wonderful viral exchange environment. I thought the movie was great but my grandson got soaked and asked to leave before he got any wetter. The pirate ship climb didn't look like fun from the outside and when he was told to remove his shoes he lost interest and asked if we could just go to the lego store. The short little "ride" was cute. The gigantic Lego replica of San Francisco and its landmarks was remarkable. It's really what your entry fee covers - a chance to look at it. So walk around inside the display room, take a close look, enjoy. The "Activity Pack" should be free to every group but don't buy it. Once you enter the mall drive around back park where you see the big yellow Lego giraffe. read more

Kids had a really good time! 4D theatre, workshops and various interactive stations had them engaged for hours.

Took my 10yr old son while in the Bay Area for Gold Cup soccer match. Even though it is geared toward younger kids, he had a blast building and racing Lego cars and climbing through the obstacle maze. Amazingly, we almost stayed 3 hours. read more

Been brining my son here since he turned 2. If you go on a weekday morning right when it opens, it's pretty empty. 4 starts because the cafe food like pizza and pretzel is really really horrible. Do not recommend getting their hot food. read more
