I know sushi in Texas, I should know better. For people who happen to be in TX and like sushi for the fresh fish, rice, seaweed, and some veggies, please read on... It was hard to find an item on the menu that didn't include deep fried (aka tempura) fish and cream cheese. I got three nigri orders and a roll; none containing the offending ingredients. Nigri was good, but did I detect sugar in the rice? One actually tasted like mayonnaise, I don't know how they did that (alright, vinegar). The roll ($11) was huge, but covered in a creamy, sweet sauce completely drowning out any evidence of freshness and/or fish. read more

My husband and I came here for dinner one evening while staying at Palo Duro State Park. We are so glad we decided to try it out! I had the 'Paradise' with veggies and tofu. The veggies were very fresh and there were peppers, pineapple, broccoli, mushrooms, zucchini and ginger, all very clearly hand cut. It was delicious and the tofu fry job was one of the best I have had. My husband had the Crazy Noodles and loved it. We eat Thai food regularly and he said the noodles were one of the best dishes he has ever had. We cleaned our plates completely and ordered the fried ice cream for dessert. We ate it in under 1 minute it was so good! Then we debated ordering one more for each of us... But we were wise enough to just decide to return later in the week to have it again :) read more

I've been to all 3 Thai restaurants in canyon and this is by far the best. The addition of sushi is welcome. Green and pangan curry were smooth and creamy with crunchy veggies and tofu. The oad Thai was tasty and great lasting flavor. Generous servings of jasmine or green tea. Lots of selection and gray vegetarian menu. I will be back. read more

Used to come here all of the time, but the ingredients seem to be going downhill and there isn't much consistency. I usually order the same thing, but it is never the same. Thai Rolls are to die for, but that seems to be their only saving grace, hence the two stars. After our terrible service on Friday night-dinner took us almost twice as long as usual and one of our menu items never arrived, (they offered to send us home with it), of course we still had to pay full price for our dinner ($65). I would normally give this place 3 stars, but considering I'm in Canyon, any decent Asian fare deserves an extra star. The service is friendly and fast. The sushi is good, not great. For Asian dishes I still recommend Sayakomarn, but this place is a good alternative. I'd come back if I was craving sushi. read more

The outside is dismal at best, but dont let that fool you. Inside is very clean and beautiful. Panang curry was just the right amount of sweet and spicy, and loaded with vegetables unlike anywhere in Lubbock. Best thai food I've had since moving to West Texas. read more

This is my favorite Thai food in Canyon. Every time the food is consistently good! The curry dishes, Pad Thai, and sushi are excellent. I asked the waiter about a certain dish that had a peanut curry sauce. They went and asked the cook about it and she said she would make it for me. It wasn't the exact dish, but the closest, I have found in the area and I appreciated the willingness to serve me! Customer service is usually excellent. I highly recommend this place! read more

AMAZING SUSHI!!! My family would rather eat sushi here than drive to the big sushi restaurants in Amarillo. The Canyon Roll is Unbelievable! If you have always had a fear of sushi because of the raw fish, don't let that scare you away from this roll. They will prepare it with cooked fish on the top. We think you don't get the full flavor that way, but it is still amazing! I wouldn't try sushi for a long time because of my fear of the unknown, bt if you can open your mind to trying it for the first time this is the place to do it and your taste buds will beg you to go back again soon. We eat here twice a month and have never been disappointed. I would eat there every few days if I could. We take our 2 year old along also and just order him edamame(his Fav) and an egg roll. Don't let the shabby looking building fool you either...it really has a very nice formal dining atmosphere and is very clean. Our son loves the large fish tank and watching them make the sushi. It is a family Fav! read more
