Service was friendly at the small ice cream shop. We opted to try this local small business vs Dairy Queen but we're unimpressed by the quality of the ice cream. We aren't ice cream snobs but the soft serve wasn't creamy and was more like frozen milk. Dairy Queen has better soft serve . This made the $8 fudge sundae a real fail. The $10 key lime parfait was frozen key lime pie layered with whip cream and graham cracker crumbs. It was good and looked 5 stars. The lack of ice cream in the parfait and small size for the price was a bummer. This place has a lot of potential but if you stop opt for their hard scoop ice cream and avoid their soft serve.

Terrible terrible customer service. The young girl had tons of attitude when I asked a question, they demanded a tip and when I didn't give them one they started making fun of me and started laughing at me, I don't care too much but I hope they don't do that to other customers. They also dropped the scooper on the ground and then picked it up and continued to scoop ice cream. read more

I was driving to the King Cone from Soldotna while on vacation, then After I left town I thought that the Google Map had sent me on a wild goose chase, but then I saw the notorious Ice Cream top roof and I knew I was on the right track. I had a one scoop of the hard serve (vanilla with blackberry swirl) on a waffle cone and it was quite enjoyable! The posted hours said that it closes at 8 pm during the summer. The business has a drive through window but you are also able to park and walk in to the ice cream shop through the back. read more

Cute drive through, neat concept, nice service, good grab and go especially for a long road trip back. Mainly drinks, ice creams, but some sweets for food. Highly recommend blue raspberry milkshake, adds a kick of sour and sweet so it's not too sweet for a perfect balance. Terrible experience. The young girl working the counter yelled at my kid just for touching the jar on the counter with the sample spoons. Pretty crazy since the majority of customers are families and children. 0/10, would not recommend if you have children. read more

I thought this was a brunch place initially, but the only thing on the food menu is waffles, and they sometimes have a few pastries. The cafe is set in a vintage train car, which is definitely funky & fun. The artwork is tons of pictures of the Alaskan railroad. Service was quick & efficient. The waffles are delicious, and they have a few different fun topping options to choose from. Their savory selection is much smaller compared to the options they have for sweet waffles. If you're super hungry and looking for a place for a hearty, savory breakfast this is not it. I ordered the mother clucker & truffle shuffle. The mother clucker was a chicken & waffles concept with maple glaze. The fried chicken is put into the batter, and cooked into the waffles. So it's a bit of an untraditional take on the southern classic. It makes sense why they serve it this way though because all their waffles are meant to be eaten with your hands. The truffle shuffle was a waffle drizzled with nut Rella & strawberry jam. Nutella & strawberries is one of my fav flavor combos for crepes so I very much enjoyed this waffle as well. The waffles themselves were cooked well. The batter was light, and the waffles were crispy. I also got an autumn themed latte, which I enjoyed. It wasn't overly sweet, but you can add sugar if you want to change that. I don't think I'd go here if I was super hungry, and looking for a meal. I shared these waffles with my son, and we were satisfied. It was really more like a dessert than a meal BUT if you love sweet breakfast over savory this is definitely your spot!
