The only issue was the WEIGHT! They were heavy because they are so substantive! Note: we were hanging them over our baseboard, so they cut off the toe kick. HUGE help! All in all, there was no comparison. We will use them to replace my mother's kitchen.

Bob and Angie worked with us to design the piece, providing 3-D renderings to confirm the "look and feel". No aspect was too small to be considered, from the interior clearances to the exterior details such as fluting, raised panel thickness, router styles or ventilation slots. We came up with a stained cherry design with center speaker shelf, protruding media area with smoked glass doors, and self-closing storage doors and drawers. Our front porch was in need of some major updating (a lot of rotting wood, railings were wobbly, pillar trim and paint coming off, etc). They were able to squeeze us in their busy schedule which I totally appreciate. Jason was very honest with what work needed to be done as I initially only asked for new railings. I didn't want to wait until the rotting wood got worse so I agreed and trusted his professional opinion. Thank goodness I did because there was a little more damage from water and ants that he found which I didn't want to deal with down the road. He used pvc to wrap the base of the pillars (which looks so much better and well proportioned) and replaced all our risers and kick board with pvc too. I am all for low maintenance so I'm glad I don't have to worry about rotting wood again! He even replaced our electrical outlet to a more low profile one. Jason is a perfectionist...very detail-oriented and meticulous, he kept pointing things out that I would never have noticed and fixed the issue promptly. He and his worker were respectful of the property, cleaned up after themselves, and were on time. I can't forget about Kristin (Jason's wife and company manager) who was very communicative in regards to scheduling, estimates, etc. She was very responsive and got back to me quickly whenever I had a question (a rare trait these days!). Overall, I would definitely recommend Bonsai Builders and look forward to hiring them again in the future. I've already received so many compliments online. My husband and I are completely satisfied with our new kitchen. We went to Express Kitchen in West Springfield and Darlene took care of us. We gave her the dimensions of our kitchen and what she envisioned for our kitchen was something truly special. She advised us to knock down a small wall in order to expand our countertop space and allowed us to put in a larger refrigerator, which was one of the best ideas she suggested for us. She also added in a wine rack I'm obsessed with. We also use that counter space as our alcohol bar, convienently below the wine rack. Darlene created a layout of our kitchen on her computer and once we all agreed upon the layout, Kyle & I picked out our cabinets, granite, hardware and other items for the kitchen. Darlene spent so much time creating our dream kitchen for us and we are so thankful. Our kitchen came out better than I ever could have hoped and we are both very attached to it. I've never had so much space to cook & bake before. My husband and I actually enjoy cooking together because there is so much space we don't ever get in each other's way. We know we will continue to enjoy our kitchen for years to come. Anytime someone comes to our house they always compliment our kitchen and express how big, open and bright it is. So we had spent 1.5 hrs on msi (granite wholesaler site) picking out our slab like July 12th we paid, 3.5 weeks we call cause we haven't heard anything from them Greg says he doesn't know anything about it and makes an apointment to refresh his memory. So a week later we go back in and sit down and ge proceeds to tell us that we really didn't pick anything out and we have to re choose a slab and Boston MSI doesn't have a polished slab we want but there's one in NJ... and he proceeds to tell us we have to drive to Elizabeth nj to pick out a slab and say "oh that's a pisser" sucks to be you. We both are upset.. he then proceeds to tell us he doesn't need our shit and said ill refund your money it doesn't matter to me.. We said fine and walked out and went to home depot and purchased the granite counter tops..
