Update: Laser Hair Removal. I've just completed my 4th session & the results are so pleasing. After my first session, it was already noticeable on my underarm - a significant reduction of hair growth. By the 3rd session of my Brazilian, hair growth is insignificant - there is barely any and very thin. This has been a great experience, especially in comparison to "needing" my hair to grow enough in between waxing. Now I barely have to shave. No more dark "shadow" on my armpits No more in-grown hairs either! I'm pretty sure 6 sessions is all I'll need which makes this one of my favorite personal investments this year. WOW !! I just got off the phone with the manager he gave me a random call and I have to say BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!! The girls are really nice.​ Sharon was my best friend​ literally​y(I MISS HER) . But I must say Adriana is now my new BFF​. I came here with a Groupon deal for 6 treatments for a full Brazilian (front and back) laser hair removal. I found street parking right in front of the building. The spa is small, clean, and inviting. I walked in, met Alyssa, who was friendly and professional. I filled out some paperwork, and she lead me to the room where I'd be treated. She explained the process to me and made me feel as comfortable as I could being naked from the waist down, in front of a complete stranger lol She tested a patch of skin on me first to give me an idea of what it would feel like; it didn't hurt at all. The entire process took about 15 minutes and was painless. Alyssa talked to me throughout the entire treatment to keep my mind off things. It was honestly a very positive experience, and I'd highly recommend this place/her. I have my second treatment in a few weeks, and I already see so much of a difference just from my first treatment- my hair has grown back so much thinner and less coarse. They did and I'm Sooo glad I did because the Aesthetician who answered my call was amazing! Aliza (I could be spelling incorrectly) She took my call, very patiently and extremely detailed took the time to understand why I was calling, what I was looking for and how her Spa and services would be an excellent fit. Okay so day of appointment~ nerves and excitement settling in. I arrive to the Spa and realize it's also part of a medical clinic which oddly enough puts me at ease because I'm thinking something goes wrong the Meds are here so a okay. Spa is clean, modern not over the top chic however extremely clean, inviting and pleasant. Bathroom is pristine which in my book is a huge plus for any establishment. Aliza the aesthetician (I think she's part owner?) checks me in and very professionally and sincerely explains the process as this is my 1st time going through this process. Maybe she senses I'm a bit nervous so I appreciate this very much. Now the fun part. I'm in my birthday suit and Aliza mentally preps me for the pain. Came here for a 60 minute $40 microdermabrasion facial. They advised me not to purchase on Groupon bc they would honor the rate in the spa. I arrived ontime for my 3:15 appointment and my facial began around 3:30pm. After consulting with the tech she advised me to go with the more expensive $60 60 min deep pore cleaning facial.The actual facial was pleasant and she explained each step. When the facial concluded I was surprised to see it was only 4:11pm. I mentioned the time to her and she told me the room clock was wrong but when I check my iPhone I saw indeed it was 4:11pm. I was SHORTED an entire 20 mins!!!!! The Groupon purchase was for 60 mins. Her responses were: 1.) The time went by quickly because I didn't have acne 2.) she completes her facials usually In 40-45 mins 3.) she doesn't keep track of the time. I wish I would've been informed this before we began. I would have never agreed to pay $60 for a 40 min facial. I explained to the receptionist that I was shorted thinking they'd come down on the price. NOPE. I booked 2 Trusculpt treatments at Kor. It took me 2 hours to get there because I live far from it but the deal was excellent and couldn't pass it up. I had the Trusculpt 3D with Gina. Gina is very knowledgeable and made me feel very comfortable . She spoke to me and explained everything she was doing through the entire treatment. She was very conscientious of my comfort level and very accommodating. She definitely did a great job. She goes above and beyond to satisfy. Waxing for many years I was looking for an alternative as Brazilian waxing is painful for me and not to mention getting expensive. When I got to the place I liked their environment but most of all, I loved Alyssa's professionalism. Being my first time, she made me feel very comfortable and was very nice throughout the procedure. I have been going here for more than a year now and my visits have always been nothing but pleasant and informative. My usual facial is the ultrasonic in which I get the dermaplaning as well. There's never a lack of communication - you can read someone via Instagram or by just calling and response time is very quick! When I assess medispas, I look to see how knowledgeable the staff is, how clean the facility is and how modern their equipment is. And in all three cases, the Kor MediSpa did very well. I came across the Groupon Coupon and called to ask about the procedure. Alyssa, the aesthetician, was very thorough, knowledgeable and clear with her explanations and directions. She was very patient with me because I was concerned about the process and have learned to ask a lot of questions because of a bad experience I had before with another medispa that was both painful and ineffective. I had researched the machine and knew it would be more effective for my specific skin type. I am a dark skinned Latina and having laser hair removal has been more of a wish, than a reality. This time, it seemed to tickle more than anything because of the cold blast that the machine gives off to counter the heat from the laser. Not only was there no pain, it seems to have been more effective. Facility is spacious, looks newly renovated and very clean; and it can put Manhattan medispas to shame. Parking was easy. I'm a client for laser hair removal. This place has changed my life. I know there are a lot of places that offer laser for women of color but not only are the prices here MUCH more reasonable, but the staff is warm and welcoming. I've had two appointments so far for my hair removal. The first appt was in November. I used to shave every 2/3 days. After my first appt I shaved once and then again the day of the appt. My second was in December and I have one scheduled for next week 1/10 and I have yet to shave - because I don't need to!! So approximately 1 year later, my underarm laser hair removal was a waste. The hair is still growing without any decrease in hair growth after 6 treatments! I also got my chin touched up. Ok, so this was my very 1st experience getting laser hair removal. I'm am African American young lady that has been dealing with awful hair under my chin for several years now. It's clean and has a relaxing atmosphere and always smells great. Setting up appointments is not a hassle like in other places and they always call back within the hour if they miss your call. I am an African-American woman with dark skin and thick, dark hair. I signed up for six sessions of the laser hair removal treatment in four areas: the neck, chin, cheeks and upper lip. I have done laser treatment in the past, but I spent over a thousand dollars, and it only covered the neck and chin areas! I paid for less than half of that here! They take pictures before every session which I love because it really helps you notice the progress. (It's hard to notice it yourself because you see your face everyday.) I definitely saw some improvements even just after the first session. I came with a face littered with hyper-pigmentation and ingrown hairs and now after the fourth session I literally have no bumps on my face! The dark spots are fading more and more and the hairs are growing slower and finer. My skin has experienced tremendous improvements! The spa itself is very clean and well-maintained. When I called and spoke with Aliza to book my first appointment, she was very thorough about the different types of lasers offered and asked me questions about my skin type, hair type, etc. I have a light olive complexion and coarse, dark hair from years of shaving. I'm in my early twenties and have always struggled with having to shave my arms every single morning. After just ONE session, I was able to see completely hair free areas on my arms and now after two sessions, I can go days and still have smooth arms. I then decided to get my underarms done. I did the dermapen which was recommended and was told to wait four weeks for optimal results along with purchasing the products at the spa which i was told will help the process along more smoothly.Two weeks after the process I saw no results instead I broke out rather badly. I choke it up to the products I purchased as when I stopped using them my acne flair down. I called three and a half weeks later to voice my concerns and discuss that the treatment that was chosen was not a good choice. I was told she will call me back right after a session she claims she was in. Its now been two weeks and not one phone call back.
