Also, I experience a loud noise a couple nights ago and was worried I could have had loss of hearing from that. All of that led me to look on my insurance app for an ENT provider and found them. I gave them a call at 8:30am on a Friday and they were fully booked. I explained my situation and they were super kind by fitting me in. They took a look and it appeared that there was compacted wax blocking the ear. To rule out anything else did a hearing test. Overall, just appreciate the quickness in getting me in on a Friday which was a short day for them.

I've been wearing MAC for so many years, I rarely use anything else because of habit, not quality. Located in Dillards at Pier Park. THIS MAC COUNTER IS SUB-STANDARD for several reasons. Substandard being politically correct for SUCKS B@!!S THRU A STRAW. #1. Melody, the manager, had HORRIFIC COMMUNICATION SKILLS AND CUSTOMER SERVICE. We all know, crap rolls down hill so I'm sure her HORRIBLE ATTITUDE AND POOR INTERPERSONAL SKILLS wear on the employees. I've never been to a MAC Counter where no one is happy to be there. Well FEAST YOUR EYES ON THIS PUPPY! Every time I go there, there's someone NEW working there. Which is kinda bad for business if you want a great demo that costs you $50 in products. I recently went to the MAC counter for a demo on Halloween. I saw a new guy there doing demo and I didn't like his work. It just wasnt to the level that I expect when I go there and he didnt even look comfortable holding the brushes. So, I said I didnt want the guy doing my demo. I"m paying for it, that should not be a problem. NO BIG DEAL, RIGHT? WRRRROOONNNNGGGG. The manager approaches me with a slight chip on her shoulder. *Think Rock of Gibraltar/Plymouth Rock sized chip.* She begins her scolding by explaining to me that he has the same level of certification that everyone else does and the she is getting off so if it's not him, WHO WILL DO MY MAKE-UP. First of all.....I booked the demo's 6 weeks in advance. Who is supposed to figure that out HER OR ME? So, I ended up waiting at least an hour Sam to finish my friends demo before I could get mine. While I was sitting there waiting, I was simmering thinking about how she talked to me. So, I approached her. I told her that I had been wearing MAC for 10 years and in all that time, no one had ever talked to me the way she did. If she was offended at something I did, then she should've pulled be aside. I ended with "You need to get it together" No shouting, no cursing, nothing. I immediately returned to shopping. 2 minutes later, 2 security guards approach me about the incident. I told them I didnt like how I was being talked to and that I told her about it. That was it. The leave and the incident is settled. EXCEPT FOR THE FACT THAT A SECURITY GUARD WAS 2 FEET AWAY WATCHING ME LIKE I WAS A COMMITTED FELON TRYING TO STEAL PRECIOUS GEMS!!! When I called the STORE MANAGER, JAN LINZA, to tell her about the incident. She, unbeknownst to me, informed me that I was irate, cursing, flailing all over the store, combattive, and putting people in choke holds and ripping patches of their hair our. All the while still being able to shop there and get my demo. The whole incident was a figment of my imagination apparently. REALLLLYYYYY???? It's amazing how the truth gets stretched from one person to another. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE FOR A MAC VET!!! I gave them 2 stars because I happen to LOVE MAC'S PRODUCTS but this place does not deserve it by any means. My honest opinion is that they may not have the skills to accommodate a variety of skin color. Darker skin seems to be an issue for them. No one with any experience will stay employed here long for all the reasons listed above. So, if you go to this counter, do not expect the usual 5 star experience. This place is more like a lemonade stand run by descendents of the 7TH RING OF DANTE'S INFERNO. WITH THE EXCEPTION OF SAM, who is the only remotely customer friendly MUA there. Take the others some ice water! Maybe that will calm MELODY down so she can speak to people respectfully.
